I'm literally obsessed with The Batman I've watched it on repeat to an unhealthy amount, especially that damn Batmobile chase scene I still wish that chase was a little longer and crazier but The Batman is fantastic
@@mikeadams7904 probably seen it in full length about 5 times the batmobile scene I've watch that seen on yt repeatedly but yea when I not working I'm mostly at home with my daughter
8 morbius 7 the samaritan 6 black Adam 5 multiverse of madness 4 dc league of super pets 3 Thor love and thunder 2 the Batman 1 black panther wakanda forever
8. Morbius 7. Samaritan 6. DC League of Superpets 5. Thor: Love and Thunder 4. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness 3. Black Adam 2. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 1. The Batman
I agree with your comments that Morbius is the best comic book movie ever released. When you said “I will never forget Morbius for the rest of my time on Earth and in the afterlife” I nodded my head in agreement.
I seriously find Cody's reviews more realistic and relateable than any other RU-vid reviewer which is why I want an Avatar review. I feel like everyone is gaslighting me into thinking the first one was amazing and the new one is even better. I need a review from someone I trust.
The Batman is easily number one for me it's the best Batman film I've ever seen and one of my all time favourite film's. I quite liked Thor and Doctor Strange was good if a tad underwhelming due to rumours of all the cameo's including Tom cruise as iron man. Black panther was alright goes on way too long though and I've seen any of the other films mentioned.
I’m sure it’s been said many times, but it’s impressive how Robert went from being the star in Twilight to being the Batman. He certainly won me over with the Batman role.
Yeah doesn’t surprise me you put Doctor Strange 2 in number 2 and Batman in number 1, you just love Raimi and his wacky campiness and Evil Dead energy 😂 and of course as a film the Batman absolutely is the best of the year ❤
1. The Batman 2. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 3. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness 4. DC League Of Superpets 5. Thor: Love & Thunder 6. Black Adam 7. Morbius
I have only seen 5 of the 7 movies, but here is my ranking. I really liked all of them. 5. Black Adam 4. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness 3. Thor: Love and Thunder 2. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 1. The Batman
1. The Batman 2. Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness 3. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 4. Black Adam 5. The Samaritan 6. Thor: Love and Thunder 7. Morbius Didn’t see League of Super Pets
7: moribus 6: thor love and thunder 5: multiverse of madness 4: wakanda forever 3: Dc league of super pets 2: Black Adam The only good one 1: The batman
Great list Cody!! Nearly identical to mine!! ❤ 🦇 The Batman wasn’t just a movie - it was an event for me. Watching all my favorite content creators dropping videos from casting/pre-prod to eventual movie reviews and reactions… was a multi-year Batman extravaganza for me. I can’t wait to do it all again for the sequels.
Dr Strange was my number one for the same reason you said. But had they let him do an R-Rated movie it possibly could have been one of the best MCU movies.
Disagree with the placement of Thor Love and Thunder but that’s about it. I really feel like it’s better than Ragnarok. Ragnarok was try hard funny while love and thunder was actually funny without trying
Agree with Cody The Batman🦇 is my favourite this year as he says its the Batman🦇 that he wanted him and myself wanted it's more of a murder mystery movie than an out and out super hero movie it's very dark and suspenfull and as for Robert Patterson's performance as Batman 🦇 it was brilliant can't wait for the sequel.
1. The Batman (A) 2. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (B+) 3. Black Adam (B+) 4. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (B) 5. DC's League of Super Pets (B) 6. Samaritan (B-) 7. Thor: Love and Thunder (C+) 8. Morbius (C)
I didn't see Samaritan or Morbius but the other 6 I think I would agree with your ranking. So I guess I should watch Samaritan. I love the detective side of Batman. Do you have more suggestions for detective/crime genre?
1. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madnesses 2. Werewolf By Night 3. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 4. The Batman 5. Thor Love & Thunder 6. Guardians Of The Galaxy Christmas Special 7. Morbius
The Batman and Wakanda Forever are the only comic book movies I liked this year. The Batman is on my favorite movies of the year list. Morbius and Love and Thunder are on my worst of the year list
Watching commentary on comic book films and I only just realised why I don't like them. In comic books, the fact that characters can come back at any time works really well. In films, I feel it takes away all the stakes for me. Not enough character permadeaths basically. Weird that I don't mind it in print media though.
1. The Batman 9/10 2. Doctor strange 2 7.5/10 3. Black adam 7.0/10 4. Thor 4 6.9/10 5. Black panther 6/10 6.Morbius 5/10 Very bad year for movies , my top 3 best of the best of 2022 : 1. Avatar 2 9.5 /10 2.the Batman 9/10 3. Top gun maverick 9/10
Awesome video Cody. Our lists are very similar. I have Doctor Strange 2 over Batman for one reason only. My one and only complaint with Reeves Batman. The action. In particular the hand to hand fighting. I am a hardcore Batman fan. Been reading Batman and comics in general for over twenty years. For some reason, at least for me they cant seem to put all the pieces of Batman in one movie. The hand to hand action in Reeves Batman was beyond sub par for me and thats a vital component for him, but everything else was great. Give me all of Reeves Batman, including Pattinson, with Snyders Affleck Batman hand to hand fights and its perfection for me. Doesnt even have to be exactly like Bens. Just more devastating and memorable fights. Bruce in his younger years, first going out as Batman, was a highly trained terror. He cared less. That was my only complaint with The Batman. I also loved Black Adam. But in all fairness he is and always has been my number two favorite DC comics character. So i am biased heavily.
@@mikeadams7904 they were both bad, but for me it was The Batman. At least Nolan had Batman fight with actual technique and consistency as bad as it still was. Reeves Batman was just brawling. Which for some characters works. Batman it does not.
Here's my list 8. Morbius 7. Thor Love and Thunder 6. Samaritan 5. DC's League of Super Pets 4. Black Adam 3. Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness 2. Black Panther Wakanda Forever 1. The Batman
1. The Batman (got you Cody 👌it’s apples and oranges with the dark knight) 2. Doctor strange 2: (Sam raimi never disappoints) 3. Black Adam: (this was nonstop B movie action and I loved it) 4. Black panther 2: (I thought this one had the most heart of all the ones that came out this year but Chadwick being gone just makes it seem out of place for me) 5. The Samaritan: (I thought the twist was awesome but I thought the movie itself was something we’ve seen many times. But the over the top action makes it middle ground for me) 6. Super pets: (this wasn’t bad but I just can’t get into these types of super hero movies) 7. Thor 4: (biggest disappointment of the year by far) 8. Morbius: (this is one of the worst comic book movies ever made)
My current ranking 1. The Batman 2. Black Panther Wakanda Forever 3. Black Adam 4. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness 5. DC League of Super Pets 6. Samaritan 7. Thor Love & Thunder

I actually like Morbious. Like I know it's not good but it's so cool! Vampires rule and I just loved how powerful he was. I want to see him kick more ass! Batman and Dr. Strange were by far the best films though. I wanted Strange to be a little more trippy though. I wanted Acid not Spooky. I like spooky but not from Dr. Strange.
My list is exactly the same except I would have Thor at #8 and Morbius at #7. I got what I expected with Morbius, but I was disappointed with Thor, so that's what pushes it to the bottom.
Yeah, those Morbius credits scenes brought very little to the table. What it revealed about Michael was interesting, but I just don't honestly see how Toomes fits in.
My Ranking: 1. The Batman (2022) 10/10 2. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022) 10/10 3. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022) 10/10 4. Black Adam (2022) 9/10 5. DC League of Super Pets (2022) 8/10 6. Samaritan (2022) 7/10 7. Thor: Love & Thunder (2022) 1/10 8. Morbius (2022) 1/10
1. The Batman 2. Black Adam 3. Dr. Strange 2 Didn't waste my time with the rest. I only watched Dr. Strange 2 because of Raimi and was disappointed. The plot sucked and made no sense. If they followed the comic book story where it's revealed the Scarlet Witch's children never existed and were constructs of the demon Mephisto it would have been awesome. Instead they had to force in America Chavez to sideline Strange.
@Cody fun list, best part is I would of done the top 4 slightly different but that is the best part of the list for me anyway :). Not going to lie for like 10 seconds I did not see the in 2022 part and I was like...Cody have you gone crazy...... this will be a 3 hour video if your doing all comic films ever lol. 0_o. Best Wishes Sir
If you have been a fan of cody's channel for awhile then this ranking should not surprise you and I have been for almost 4 yrs now. Here is my very controversial ranking. 8. Thor. Love and Thunder. God awful movie from beginning to end. They shit all over Gorr's character. 7. Black Adam. Nothing special at all, never been a fan of the character. 6. Morbius. Just bad from start to finish. Could have been something special, but we got this instead. 5. Samaritan. Pretty good. 4. Super pets. Really enjoyed it, voice acting was good. 3. The Batman. I have it at no3 simply because of the Riddler. One of my favorite comic book movie villains of all time. Bruce Wayne looks like a lead singer in an emo band and I'm not a Robert Pattinson fan. 2. Wakanda Forever. The movie is shot beautifully, the action and story are amazing. I got emotional quite a few times. 1. Multiverse of Madness. My favorite mcu movie to date. The visuals are phenomenal. Scarlet Witch is stupidly Op and she stole every scene she was in. Sam Raimi did an outstanding job. For those reasons and many more is why it's my no1.
If you switch the horrible Thor: Love And Thunder with the generic Morbius films then My list is exactly as Cody’s😂. Loved The Batman(not as much as Cody did).
Good video Cody. If anyone's going to be a crybaby, don't look at my list. Black Panther Wakanda Forever-It had all the reason to be subpar but was excellent. Beautiful looking and well shot. Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness-Loved Sam Raimi's style. Cool character notes, great action ,emotional, and it felt very restrained in a way I needed it to be. Probably my most rewatched movie of Phase Four Thor Love and Thunder-I was here for it. I laughed at almost every joke, loved the cameos and asides. Gorr was an awesome villain, and I found the third act emotional. The Batman-Handsomely produced and scored with an interesting cast, cool ideas and a killer score, this is a good enough movie that cribs too much from SeVen and Zodiac to feel fresh and goes on far too long to be enjoyable. For me anyway. Black Adam-A b movie from 2004 coming too late. Brosnan and the Rock are good but pretty forgettable. Samaritan-Pretty much what Cody said. Solid performance from Stallone, decent world building but the dull twist and boring third act. DC League of Super Pets-Silly, tonally uneven and generic but fun with a killer voice cast. Morbuis-A waste of time and talent.
I agree 100% about animated movies. I don't care how good they are, I'm just not into them whatsoever. I've seen a few, but it's not for me. Even as a little kid I watched horror movies, sword & sorcery, sci fi etc. Adult films. And now with so many dodgy woke animated movies, I don't think kids should watch most of them, until that shit dies off.
Great review and very valuable. Thanks... Agrees with your view that it was a mediocre SHero year. The Batman, as a massive fan of both the CNolan and TBurton versions and a Matt Reeves fan, left me disappointed. Main reason? Too long, laden dialogue and Robert Pattinson's Kurt Cobain Bruce Wayne was a miss step. Too depressing and a blackhole of energy. Just my opinion though.
I have to agree with you that the Batman deserves to be number one and doctor strange 2 in number two but it so not put black adam in number one of my list cause I love the fight sense in the movie thought was the best in DCU but the Batman is my 2nd best movie in 2022
It was a pretty standard vampire flick that was unfortunately the victim of blatant choppy editing and an army of people already waiting to hate it. I enjoyed it despite its issues; even got a solid laugh out of the bat-Kamehameha wave at the end.
For me, Thor would be last on my list. Just because not only was it so bad, but sooooooo disappointing. Then Black Adam - all this hype built up for just a very generic go no where movie. The justice society bit I didn’t like because it’s like, “who are these people?” We never heard of these folks until now and it shifts focus away from black Adam. Then Morbius. Haven’t seen the animated one or Samaritan.
