Damn.....a full year later and Ego Rock is still number 1. Honestly deserved, that song feels like a tidal wave of everything good about a Sekai cover (strong group choice, great tuning on the VS, a perfect example of how changing a songs pitch can improve it, and the best 3D MV in the game) that i think something is gonna have to be straight up godly to beat it. Great video! Obviously theres songs low that i love (am i the only one who really likes Hello World???? It might be bias cause its the OP from one of my favorite animes but i think its a good cover!! We should have gotten alts!!) and stuff i think is a bit too high (i personally find Rad Dogs kinda overated, its not bad but i never got the hype for it) but i understand your positioning, ranking over 200 songs is no easy feat. Lists like this are also fun because for me at least some songs get bumped up either cause of solos (Ans City and Sakis From Tokyo greatly improved my opinions of those songs) full versions (see Stage of Sekai and IF) and just listening to stuff more. (ive been relistening to Mr.Showtime and What Kind of Ending Are You Wishing For lately and they're starting to shoot up a bit) Also agreed that NEO is the best anni theme, Jin never misses lol. I really love ego rock as well! Their vocals with the instrumental mix so well. And Len’s tuning fits in too. The choir is also absolutely gorgeous! I love when Len sings, it actually fits! i love the energy as much as you do. So yes, i totally agree!!

Ooh, I really disagree with some of your placements personally but with others I agree completely and your thoughts feel really validating! I'm always happy when people can appreciate the songs that I can't, it really feels like every song in the game is someone's favourite. My number one fave is still ID Smile even two and a half years later but there's so many good songs in the game that I have such a hard time ranking them myself. Thanks for sharing! :D

1:29 I personally like a lot how they sound, especially the way Mafuyu sounds, it has a little uncanny but elegant feeling. 1:59 I wish Tsukasa had an alt vocal, it would be so good. 2:05 I know it isn't a popular cover and people usually say it should have been a Ruikasa cover but I love how Toya sounds there, I wish people talked more about it. Also the MV is so cool. 2:28 I personally like it but I didn't know the original so it could be related. 2:59 I think this song is really emotional and beautiful but the chart is annoying and the 3MV quite boring. 3:29 I have the impresion that it would have been more impactful if the chorus wasn't just Ichika, it feels like if it lacked something, probably emotion. I agree that the Miku version is amazing. 3:48 I think this cover suffers a lot when people compares it to Ado's but they didn't even went for the same approach (w×s being eerie in a silly way and less serious ) and Ado is just too amazing. 3:59 I don't dislike it but I feel a MMJ cover (Shizuharu) could have work better. This and Drop Pop Candy makes me think that at first they had a different plans for how Anhane's covers' style would be. 4:23 I find this cover very soothing.

my feelings about god-ish are completely the other way around (besides the fact that you didn't show any appreciation of miku's tuning, that DEFINITELY could've been a lot better) - god-ish just doesn't seem like a song for mizuki, i think everyone else did incredibly though i can see that you really appreciate shiho's vocals though so im going to ignore everything else

Honestly I was waiting on baited breath hoping that Sekai would cover Ego Rock!! I got into the song from a Guilty Gear meme and its so addicting so I literally screamed seeing that it was my favorite unite too! I dont play sekai but do consume the covers and that I'm also a voca boomer (see: I got into Miku and other voice banks in 2013) who LOVED when humans covered vocaloid songs, especially the likes of MafuMafu and..to date myself 96Neko! The Ego Rock cover blew my socks off that it took my top spot cover out of its top spot (sorry KING ;w;). I'm still hoping for when they bring Shabon into the game!!

Was happy to see Gekokujou ranked as high as it was. The event and song were leaked around the time of my grandmother's funeral. Let's just say the event was... very close to home for me, and the song has been instrumental in me coping. Kinda bummed Theater wasn't higher because it's my personal favorite song in general. It's... largely carried by the emotions from Mafuyu and the full version from the latest Connect Live, but man. It's just so good. No hate I swear, tone is very hard for me to portray and the autism doesn't help either. I am begging for Mafuyu to get more alts like Usseewa and Aishite Aishite Aishite though. She has such a good voice. I would love an alt using her for either Samsa or Theater. Or both. I think she could pull it off. The Bug alt has grown on me some because of the emotion, but it's... really not her greatest. Why yes my Mafuyu bias is showing lol

I always love seeing different opinions, you have good taste, especially for Non-Breath Oblige (I‘m so excited for December!!!), there were many pleasant surprises this year but the 2 songs that completly lifted me up and made me go to heaven were Shanti (everything is lit, especially Toya‘s rap part) and Brain Revolution Girl (not only was this my most requested song, but giving it to VBS with a 3D MV and letting Toya and An slay me this hard, was everything I didn‘t even know I needed in life) Well the next year can begin, I hope Yubikiri, Scissorhands and The Name Of Sin will finally make it into the game 🥺🥰
