I would put mk 2021 at least b tier liked the story but I can agree that the arcana plot point was trash and raiden is a trash character but I liked movie as a whole so that's why is give it a b tier.

I assure it will not be like that. But what I can promise is a bunch of twists and turns. Also there will be a lot of guest characters that will have a major role play throughout the series.

I assure you that every character will have an important part to play in the story. Spoiler: Shinnok takes control of Kratos body and Rambo will become the new Nightwolf.

Yea I only have a few main problems with it, not multiple small ones.

If that is the case, how many times do I have to watch the film just to ignore the bad stuff? I’m sorry, but we’re not always going to be the people at a buffet that just eats whatever and how much of it they want to.

@@HLHReviews The arcana thing might have looked good on paper but was terrible executed expecially with Jax and Sonya, some dialog was just for fan service and made no sense like "I am scorpion now" or "i am sub-zero". We know that, but it sounds stupid when they say it. Still some action sequences and characters were actually better than i expected.

Would you want Guardians of the Galaxy to stop and explain how a tree can talk or how Rocket Raccoon can speak English and walk like a human? No, you wouldn’t. If the modern day audience doesn’t care about that, I guarantee that they won’t care why Liu Kang is able to throw fireballs out of his hands.

​@@HLHReviews But i agree with you on that, i think they didn't need to explain that or say their names out loud... it souds cool when we play the game, but as a dramatic story about a man who lost his family and came back from the dead for revenge, saying he is now called scorpion without explaining why, is just terrible fan service. At least the animated movie gave us a decent explanation about the "scorpion" thing that made sense. As for the powers, i actually always wondered how johnny cage, a normal stunt double that had no idea why he was invited to the tournament, could throw green balls and use that green magic. Explaining the powers could have been a cool idea on paper, but the movie executed that very poorly. And cyborg arms are not actually a power, maybe super strenght is...

I’m part of the fan base that just wants to see great stories based on Mortal Kombat, while making changes only if it’s absolutely necessary. These adaptations are just a mixed bag and the only ones that truly felt like it was Mortal Kombat were the 95 film (despite no gore and fatalities) and Scorpion’s Revenge. I and Brusk are not fans of Mortal Kombat just because of the gore and fatalities. We are fans because of the characters and the universe that it built and we have an undying love to see Mortal Kombat be brought to life before our eyes. Sadly, some of these adaptations on the ranking do not want to make that a reality.

He just hates the movie. He doesn't hate those who like the movie (except the "just be grateful and consume the product" kind of people)

You can tell this movie was only a cash grab movie they only try to make names by using mk. There was no soul put into it. The entire movie was basically a click bait. I believe you never watched 95 movie or scorpion revenge i think you should do that. You will see how it will make you change your mind about 2021

@@StarLight-fr5kb Don't get me wrong, I LOVE gore (I'm an MK fan, after all), but it doesn't make a movie. I like things about 2021, the effects are better and Kano is genuinly entertaining, but if I had to pick between which one to watch multiple times with friends it'll probably be Annihilation because it's fuckin' funny
