Sorry for the delay y’all, so uh, longer comment, new uploading schedule is gonna be longer videos like at the very least 15 minutes once every 3 weeks, school has been a KILLER for uploading and it’s just a pain in the butt. Hopefully the wait was worth it. Also I’m almost fully using my computer for editing now! Makes the thumbnails and the editing transitions much smoother which is always great. Thanks for the wait y’all and I hope you guys will enjoy the remake of my longest video…
HECK YES I BEEN WAITING FOR THIS I finished on a remake tier for all SPM levels here what I have 8-4 8-1 8-2 6-1 5-4 5-2 7-3 4-4 3-3 8-3 4-2 5-1 3-1 3-4 6-??? (First Time Visiting the Underworld) 6-2 4-3 3-2 4-1 5-3 7-4 1-4 1-3 2-1 1-1 1-2 2-2 6-??? (W.O.N) 7-1 (Second time visiting the Underworld) 2-3 2-4 7-2
The path for 4-1 is VERY easy. Just keep going right until you reach the portal. Then go right again until you reach the portal. Then go left to the second portal in that direction (DO NOT GO IN THE FIRST ONE THAT YOU SEE). Finally go right to the star block
I had a terrible experience with 7-2. For some reason, my emulation just decided to lower the frame rate to 15 fps for the ENTIRE level. My game also crashed at one point, and it took me over an hour to beat the level. Also, I was at one health when I got to the underchomp fight, so I had to go back to flip side to get a shroom shake so that I could have enough health to beat it.
World 6 and 7 have cool themes. It sucks that the level design is kinda meh/bad. Edit: also, 8-4 is bottom half of the list for me because of the maze.
I need to replay Super Paper Mario. From what I remember, most of these levels are fun and I enjoy going through them. I really enjoyed the video and I was surprised to see many levels move around, especially near the bottom. You should consider remaking your other SPM videos as well. Also, there is an audio glitch where the music cuts over your voice. It only happened twice and both times were during the 8-3 segment.
I know I watched it during the premiere and realized oh crap I messed up, I think it was at midnight while I was finishing the video so I was tired and sloppy at that point lol but I definitely should remake them eventually, most likely remade first being the chapter bosses but actually include the mini bosses on that list
@Shroob Invader Oh, I thought those were intentional. I thought it was showcasing the chaotic and mischievous energy and character that dimentio exudes.
With a more ambitious countdown like this, I'm wondering something I was already thinking about, but now I'm even more interested in. Are you ever going to rank *every* Mario and Luigi boss from worse to best? (Obv you don't gotta there's MANY of them but it's just a thought I had recently)
This is too big a ranking for me to make my own, so I'll just say that my top 4 are 4. 8-1 3. 8-2 2. 8-3 1. 8-4 Can you tell what my favorite chapter is?
As I said in a Post:Shroob, you're an absolute madlad BTW,here's my opinion on each Chapter: Chapter 1:as a 1st Chapter,it does its job pretty well;nothing too special here, but good Chapter 2:I wish we had a Miniboss in here or something,Mimì may be Nightmare Fuel but it's easy af,and 2-3 is just garbage;the rest is pretty straightforward Chapter 3:very good Chapter;you got Bowser,Dimentio and Blooper who are good Minibosses, you got Francis who is just the stereotypical Discord Mod and,as a Gamer and Weeb,I can quite relate to him(not much though, don't worry) Chapter 4:this might be my favorite Chapter in the game;the music is pretty sweet, the levels are cool, the enemies are very unique and you got Totally Not Lui-erg I mean Mr. L and Brobot,my favorite Boss in the game Chapter 5:this is when the devs remind you that this is still TTYD's Sequel;the Pacing and Backtracking here makes the Chapter boring, almost as if they needed to make the levels longer somehow(especially 5-1),but you also got King Croacus who is a good Boss, the Floro Caverns are pretty interesting aaaaaaaand O'Chunks showing his inner Lord Crump(though, just like him,it's still better than Jr Troopa from 64)lmao Chapter 6:HAHA BOWSER&CARRIE GO BRRRRRRRRRR Chapter 7:thematically speaking, this is one of my favorite;it's basically the Divine Comedy of Mario,I really like the atmosphere and the Underchomp fight (Fun Fact:in Italian,he's called "Catecerbero" which translates to "Chain Cerberus");7-3 is a bit obnoxious, but at least the Peach scenes when you give her the wrong Apple are funny;7-4 is ok,but damn,Bonechill just sucks:I've played like,30 Mario games or so,and he's still the easiest Fight in the entire Mario series Chapter 8:I love the sheer sadness of this Chapter;we have Tippi and Count Bleck thinking about when they were happy,Mario "losing" his Friends one by one but having no time for grief, the eerie atmosphere given by the music and the whole buildup to the Final Boss (although it was easy just like every other Boss in this game). Definetely one of my favorite Final Dungeons in the Mario series BONUS Pits of 100 Trials:pretty cool,I love how the murals change every 25 Floors in order to represent each of the Chapters and Flip/Flopside,although Wracktail is just Discount Bonetail and Shadoo is a big "f*ck you" to the Players Aaaaaaaand that's all!
Yes! Finally you got back to the channel. 2 months not seems too much, but it was. i wonder how much of your opinions changed to the December 2020 video, like will 7-3 be higher or 3-3 be lower? That stuff will be fun.
I first played Super when I was about 6 years old. Chapter 7-2 worked out for me. What you are basically doing is ascending from hell to heaven and doing so should be a tedious and agonizing task. Idk if it was even possible in greek mythology. For me as a child the darkness and the dark boos were actually scary and very uncomfortable. I saw the grannys room as a checkpoint and a safespace back then. I also remember being a bit stuck at the second doorguy because of the moving shape quiz. The Underchomp wasn't a problem for 6 y.o. me. I hated 7-3 much more as a child. The overthere music still haunts me to this day as a 22 years old. Fun fact: I really love the german name for the doorguys, which is "Lasse Einar". Lasse is a name and the whole name plays on the german word "Einlassen" which is an old fashioned word (but stilll used today) and translates to "to let in".
My Ranking: (I only had 6-1 for World 6 and I think grouped 6-3 with it) #29 8-4 (I hate maze levels so much. The only thing I like about this level are the bosses.) #28 2-3 (Very boring level, you just run on a wheel for what feels like 5 hours.) #27 5-1 (You have to go from the beginning to the end back to the beginning and back to the end. Hope you have that pattern written down beforehand.) #26 7-2 (It's dark, very dark. Also you fight Bowser but the fight is very basic.) #25 3-2 (It's an underwater level, what do you expect? Also Blooper is here as a very easy boss for how far you're at.) #24 4-3 (I used to love the two shooter levels. Although by now I just find them annoying and confusing. Also if you twist Squirps before getting the chocolate, you're not getting him out.) #23 2-2 (It's a very nothing level to me. Just take the door on the right, grab the key, and go.) #22 7-3 (Vertical level where the camera doesn't show you where you're going. And when I play this level I can never remember where the black fruit is.) #21 3-3 (Another vertical level where the camera doesn't show you where you're going. At least this time I actually know where I'm supposed to go. Dimentio is a fun boss even if it is really easy with Bowser.) #20 1-3 (If you know to jump under the red tree and to press - and 1 beforehand it becomes a nothing level. If you don't then it's a bit more fun. O'Chunks is very basic though, which I guess is to be expected from a first boss.) #19 4-1 (Another confusing space level. At least it lets you keep Squirps.) #18 2-4 (Better than 8-4 but still a labyrinth. At least it's fun to try to get to the door before Mimi comes. But the Mimi fight is very easy.) #17 6-1 (A worse version of TTYDs Chapter 3. It's just that but with no story to break up the fights. Although I do enjoy this type of level enough to put it this high. Also this is the world that you see comes to an end so you see just what you're up against.) #16 1-1 (The first level in the game. There's not really any theme here just get from the beginning to the end. It does at least work as a tutorial.) #15 5-3 (I genuinely like the mine cart sections. You may not be doing anything but it at least has some cool visuals. #14 7-4 (Blubbi is so annoying to get. I think you have to talk to the one guy that I don't remember the name of and then go back for him. Otherwise it's fine. The Bonechill fight is also easily cheeseable. #13 1-2 (I only really put it this high for what happens after you talk to Green.) #12 8-3 (Has a lot of Dimentio stuff going on and a couple puzzles as well. The Dimentio fight is easier than the first one, but I still enjoy it.) #11 1-4 (Some great puzzles here with a great boss at the end with Fracktail.) #10 2-1 (Some nice visuals although it's like 1-1 where there's not really any theme.) #9 5-4 (Some great puzzles here as well. Although when I first REplayed this game I had trouble figuring out that I needed to use fleep on the skull. The O'Chunks fight is... there. But Croacus is a good fight. #8 3-1 (Nice little throwback to SMB 1-2 here. Also you fight Bowser.) #7 4-2 (A space-type level I really enjoy. I just like the low-gravity mechanics that much. And it doesn't hinder the gameplay like that one portion on the moon in TTYD.) #6 3-4 (A level where you take two different paths to get some keys. You fight Francis here which is a great fight.) #5 8-1 (It's nice seeing the places where you play as Peach and Luigi for the first time. O'Chunks is ... there. Why do you have to fight this guy four times? #4 5-2 (This one is all about puzzles and I'd say their all well-done. You got one where you run around a Yoshi-shaped rock, one where you breathe fire, and one where you dive into the water. There are also hints along the way to help you out. I think the hidden block to get to Cudge is kinda cheap though. And you fight O'Chunks.) #3 8-2 (Mimi sends you to a different part of the level. While it's nice that you have two paths there the left one is the only one that's necessary. She also asks what you're afraid of and after telling her you're biggest fear is an Ultra Shroom you fight which is actually a good fight that actually has some challenge to it.) #2 7-1 (This is a pretty cool level. Dimentio sends you to the Underwhere. You then have to find Luvbi for Jaydes and get Luigi from a dive into the river Twiggs. I'm starting to think this is actually more similar to the Underworld from Greek Mythology.) #1 4-4 (This one is all over the place with blocks that change gravity. And you fight Mr. L here as well being the great boss he is.) This is all my opinion, but feel free to share yours. It was fairly difficult deciding between 4-4 and 7-1 for this list.
As the next video you could maybe rank the very last bros attacks that you get in the mario and luigi series including Super fire bros Super cyclone bros Mix flower falling star broggy bonker Zee egg Star rocket Luiginary tyhpohoon Toad trail mega thwonk and trio meteoer
There is a tip for 2-3 to get rubies much faster for newer players, in the wheel you can go over to the right side and you can slide in the wheel faster than you run. It may take a little time to position yourself correctly but it's worth it.
Welcome back dude here is my ranking of Spm levels of course my own opinion by the way I beat every single Mario and Luigi game except I haven’t played bowsers Junior journey i only played bis original version. Best 3: 3. 3-4 I really like the concept the ttyd Easter eggs always get me it makes me wanna replay ttyd again shroob I always like the Francis fight sure it’s is annoying but I like it. 2. 4-4 I like it how it remains me of the xnaut base form ttyd I like the pixil turning upside down was a good idea brobot is one my favorite bosses in Paper Mario series next to shadow queen in ttyd the music fits very well in the whoa zone. 1. 8-4 I think the maze was good way to end the game I know some people did not like the maze which is fair but the music in castle bleck amazing ultimate show underrated in my opinion. Worst: 3. 7-3 2.2-3 1.5-1
The obvious answer is Color Splash, quite possibly the most underrated Mario game ever It always felt to me like a remake of Sticker Star, rather than a sequel: It may not have many original Characters, but each of them has Heart and Soul put into their dialogues, which is something Sticker Star lacked, and all the other games have. The Bosses might be the Koopalings, but 1)it was obvious they would've shown eventually their faces in a Paper Mario game, let's be honest here 2)it's the execution that matters, and in this game their Boss Fights are executed well "But Shadex, you're forced to use a Thing Card in order to beat them" Yes,but unlike Sticker Star, they tell you which Cards you need for the Boss Fights, and they're easy af to find except for the Instant Camera(but even then, there's a hint on Fortune Island to help you) The Battle System is MILES better than Sticker Star;although I do think it shouldn't have been THAT complex in terms of controls,it's still an improvement, and unlike Sticker Star,Battles are actually worth something;also, getting more Card Slots during the Story feels more like a regular progression,as opposed to a stupid Pay-To-Win System but with In-Game currency The levels are all cool and full of life like in the old games, with charming music and minigames to accompany them;there also isn't as much Backtracking as there was in TTYD,and I had a lot of fun with them The plot may not be as dark as TTYD,SPM or Origami King, but it's still strong on its charming and funny moments, and has its own identity unlike, again,Sticker Star The only thing Color Splash doesn't surpass IMO is the music,I think it's on par with Sticker Star, but it is still beautiful and varied and fitting for the game I hope people will understand my opinion, and if you disagree, more power to you;just don't start an argument on it
Well on the list I loved 2-4…2-3 tho? Idk it’s just kinda repetitive to me. While I think it’s overhated because If you know what your doing it’s literally around like 2 minutes to complete compared to 5-1 where you have to enter that long combination, it’s still kinda subpar compared to most of the levels in this game to me personally
@@ShroobInvader I don't know if it was just me but I loved "bullying evreyone" cause I just made fun of everyone doe still having to work their while I had all I needed
Been a while since I commented but great video as always sadly I haven’t worked on the Mario RPG video I told you about been working on my indie game projects
Dude, 7-2 is bad, but not horrible. I dislike it, but it at least didn’t take me as long as 3-3. I loathe 3-3. It’s creative, but that’s it. I personally found it too difficult, and that’s boosted because there is a boss fight, and a lack of save points. It isn’t fun.
Ok I can see that. Obviously someone like me has played SPM so many times that the difficulty is gone so I just get to enjoy the simple puzzle concept for this leve
And it’s a super long video too, almost broke the record of like half my videos lmao. Plus the editing is definitely noticeable now that you got the hang of Da Vinci
Ye I remember you :D also I just don't like how repetitive it is if you don't look it up and if you do then it is super short. It isn't the worst level in the game cause it is very short but I just don't care for it
I think its a great chapter too! probably cause of nostalgia because I remember beating it without looking anything up when I was 7 years old and felt so proud!
@@Shinotheblackcat If you explore all the rooms without unlocking the locked door and without going on top of the spike platform in the "Trap Room" Talking to Mimi After that will Crash the game, Keep in mind this only works on PAL Copies
Well obviously the story is getting shown but imo that’s more atmosphere. There is probably more story in cutscenes like in 6-1 where tippi and Count Bleck talk for the first time. But the atmosphere CARRIES that place so much to me personally
@@ShroobInvader We I just thought that the story was implied as in the fact hat this is the fate, this is what count Bleck will do if he is not stopped, also makes you wonder if he would go to other worlds and look at it's last fleeting moments before it died. Also no word about Mimi just being a distraction?
@@ShroobInvader alright I'll look forward to that, will the remake be taking story and plot into account with the bosses or just the gameplay if I may ask?
Super paper Mario will always be a weird game😂. Personally I don’t really like it that much. I just find it kind of boring. I got about halfway through it and then I just gave up. Though it without a doubt it has the best story in a Mario game of all time……not that it’s a high bar but still
