@@SUM41YANA24M ...is very funny to forget you put your live in vampire daughter in that for her cold weather wear and then to be reminded of it when she suddenly becomes a giant skiing hampster.
Plz I love spooky stuff lol. I'll admit it's def more party type decor rather than actual ~spooky~ things like u find in vamps or realm of magic, but the wallpaper!! Come on!! The wallpaper is top tier lmao
lmao true 😭 but Kayla prefers realistic gameplay so I think it's her relating to this that makes her hate huge apartments Also Kayla said eat the rich and abolish landlords I'm reading between the lines
frr- can yall imagine how expensive the san myshuno apts would be in like,,, nyc. samir's (i might be getting his name wrong lmao) dirty square apartment is so big it would be 5-6k a month in some parts of the city -
I actually recently said exactly that about an appartement we applied for ^^' I'd rather have it be smaller and a bit cheaper, I don't know what we're supposed to do with all that space. So yeah sometimes smaller is better irl too
The calendar system is honestly such a big selling point for seasons and it's underutilized. Like, the seasons are GREAT, but the calendar is *essential*
@@haliee Seasons should be base game. Honestly, seasons, pets and (if we get it) generations should all be default in a LIFE simulation game, you can't properly simulate life without seasons, pets and stuff for anyone who isn't in their 20s to do.
I still play without it, because I only bought packs I needed for mods. It's been on my list for a long time, but I never got around to actually buying it yet...
Since Sims 2 I'm going to say say the Seasons pack is always the expansion I look forward to most. But I simply think weather is a NEED in these games. But the seasons pack seems to actually always add in a lot of extra basic gameplay elements. Even though a lot of what we see is stuff that should have been in the basic game, the seasons pack always feels like a true expansion pack of the game.
I think prices should be lowered and some packs should be added to basegame. Expansions should be 15/20$ instead of 40. 40 was the game’s full price! Kits should be in free stuff. Game packs should be 10$ and stuff packs should be free/5$
Okay, hear me out, expansion pack ideas: -farm live in Italy with vineyards and stuff. With horses, cows, etc. new winemaking career -amusement park with roller coasters, ferris wheel, cotton candy, etc. U can open up your own attraction at the park and it’s fun for your sims to visit especially families
@@SilvX610 TS4 is too easy, almost childlish. I was playing TS1 when I was 8 years old and it was hard but in very fun way. The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 have some challenges and that makes these games very interesting, just perfect for older players. It is not problem that something was first, the problem is that they really lower the didficulty level that compares to previous games there are litterally nothing to do, you achieve everything sooo easly that there is no challenge and no fun :((
@@cosmicbrownie7054 It is, man... It is Also the Kits cost 30 and stuff packs are 40, I really don't get why they overpriced everything, it wasn't like this before
I think my favourite thing about seasons is they tailor the weather to the world. Like it’s mostly always sunny in Sulani and rains at lot in Henford-On-Bagley
Wrong, it’s a real thing that’s spawned a whole dietary movement of freegan. Before stores started putting digi lock pads on their dumpsters I scored a $400 comforter from a dry trash dumpster, multiple cans of full paint mixed to order then never bought, more than half the items needed to care for any rodent I’ve taken in, plenty of non toxic things to burn for a bon fire when you’re too lazy to cut wood and so many party decorations. Dumpster diving used to be a legitimate tier of consumerism. It slowed only with the greed of industries installing digital lock pads on their store locations dumpsters. It may not be a thing where you live but that doesn’t mean it’s not a thing at all.
okay, so i'm a cas type of girl. my fav thing to do in the sims is make a new game and spend two hours on solely creating the sims and their outfits. so with that i think my favorite packs have to be university, snowy escape, seasons, and laundry day. those packs imo have the best clothing and hairstyles. i find myself always going back to those packs when creating sims
I don't know if you play on PC, but if you do you HAVE to get the Date Night CC pack by joliebean, Oakiyo and Trillyke. It is only teen/adult, but the clothing and hair is gorgeous.
I never played both since Sims 4 is my first game but I'm gonna get Sims 3 for Christmas and I have heard really good things about it, never anything bad other than how the sims looks and the lagging.
Sims logic: Oh you want to hang out with your friends at two am but they are all asleep? No problem just make a club with all of them in it, host a gathering, and they’ll be right over!
You probably know it but there are definitely people who don't know: You can stop vampires from showing up as an easy option at your front door. You can disable random visits by vampires, friends, neighbors and one more I can't remember right now. Definitely the first thing I do in every new save (it even stops the welcome wagon)
I will always have a special place in my heart for Island Living, I admit it needs more gameplay, especially the mermaids, but its the closest the sims has ever gotten to my country’s culture and it wasn’t A HOLIDAY WORLD! Which was why I appreciated them not having hotels in this pack so much! Island countries are treated too much like vacation destinations irl rather than actual countries with cultures and life, Island Living needed more cultural depth as well but I was ecstatic when it was announced
@@DREAMINDIGO I think you can build residential and vacation lots in every world now since a recent update. I haven't tried building a residential lot in Selvadorada yet, though.
@@DREAMINDIGO Nooooo.... Maybe if you go into build mode and change the lot type of the lot first? Then normally it should work 🤔 I'll try it tomorrow!

I love how different this list would be for everyone like personally the last thing I want is a family related pack and my absolute favorite is the vampire and other occult packs. The Sims has a little bit for everyone :)
Me too, the furniture in Outdoor retreat was so amazing that i bought it the second time i bought packs and Magic realm was my first ever and i love everything about it, its gonna be my favorite forever.
to kinda add onto the other guy, if you use ps4 theres a 75% off the game itself+the cats and dogs bundle (on ps4 you cant buy cats and dogs alone) so its $12.49. also all the expansion packs are 50% off until the 15th
OhMyLiz Yes I got island living for $7 and seasons for $10, just make sure there are real pictures of the game and not ones uploaded from the internet.
I feel like some of the stuff packs should have been in the seasons pack like the Halloween one. You could use that for fall. It was literally no point in making it into a whole 10 dollar pack
People truly underestimate how good spooky stuff is especially when you couple it with seasons and make a Halloween event. Or if your teenage sim is going through a goth phase and they suddenly decorate their whole room with bats and spiders. Plus that ghost wallpaper has a super cute pastel swatch perfect for kids or toddlers. When I started playing the sims 4, this was the first pack I bought because I knew I would love it and I will defend it until I die 😂
I feel like it's all down to personal opinion. I really like occult sims and strangerville but those were some of the lowest on her list. Doesn't make my opinion invalid, doesn't make her opinion invalid, doesn't make your opinion invalid
Yes and it was so much easier to get good grades, like in Sims 4 when you make your Sims study "full time" as in 4 courses per semester, they basically don't have time for anything else apart from studying and they fail so easily, it annoys me so much, 100% prefer Sims 2 (and 3) university
It's honestly shocking how wildly good the Paranormal pack is. Like, it's just a stuff pack, but I had an absolute blast playing a whole legacy in a haunted house. Guidry is hands down the best Sims 4 NPC, and I adore that you're encouraged to romance him. PLUS the integration with spellcasters is fantastic!
The first time I played with university I played with a vampire sim. Didn’t realize till I played with a human sim how much time sleep takes out of the day.
Haha. Yeah. I used to delete the obvious ones like Vlad, Caleb and Co. Was actually my first action i did in a new save file. Now i just disallow Vampires, i love that feature.
The windows and doors alone make Strangerville a Need It for me. I love Queen Anne houses and other Victorian type homes, and Strangerville's build items are absolutely essential to get that aesthetic right.
Hey, i build a lot of (colourful) tiny homes and use stuff like the couches from my first Pet Stuff all the time. And i don't know what i would do without some of the floors that came with Batuu. I'm a Builder first and foremost. I can use everything!! (and yes, Strangerville has some awesome B&B Stuff.)
@@snoozebutton9996 I feel the same way about Batuu! The floorings are so great! I also size down a lot of the clutter items, like the bottle/vase looking things, because if you size them down twice they make fantastic kitchen clutter (they look like bottles of sauce or olive oil or whatever, they're always on my kitchen shelves and counters). It's also super fun to give my geeky sims droids. I'm getting a lot out of the Batuu pack!

I think Snowy Escape would have benefitted a lot by having a skill object that you could practice snowboarding on that could be placed on any lot (like the snowboarding half-pipe in sims vacation and sims 3 seasons)
Kayla might've forgot about this but I personally love Get to Work because it allows you to own and run a business, and opens up so many possibilities for stores.
I agree that Get Together is underrated but I think City Living is overrated, you're basically paying 40$ just for apartments and a "city" that you can't really do that much in.
No.... I disagree. I love the City. They have festivals and that is where they have things like dragonfruit just for the picking. Then you can go home and plant them and get rich.....
In defense of Luxury Party Stuff: if you love to create Drag Queens, get this pack (when it's like 50% off) . The makeup is so ridiculously extra, it's just perfect for drag. Edit: maybe I am mixing it up with vintage glamor.
@@zyxcba3155 the comment was about luxury party having over the top stuff. I went into CAS to confirm I remember it correctly, and luxury party IS the one pack you need for over the top styles with lots of glitter and sequins .. so. Yeah? The first ever stuff pack is Luxury Party, and we're saying it is useful for its CAS assets.
i’m loving strangerville so far tbh. it wouldn’t be the first pack i’d buy, you’d get more bang for you buck with seasons or university, but if you already have 4-5 packs, strangerville is a good option!
I loved strangerville but i would never recommend it at full price because there’s no replay value at all. I played it once, it was nice, then... that’s it. Also the houses in the world were horrible with zero inspiration or effort put into them. I hate having to edit them every single time I make a new save
@@asideofpickles574 oh yeah, you should never pay full price for any of these tbh, they’re all lacking in some way or another. but the cas and build items are really good! the world is really pretty too. you can also save your renovations to your library and just plop them down, no need to remake them all over again. but i get what you’re saying! it’s okay for us to have different opinions ❤️❤️
I love strangerville also. After playing through the story line. In a new game save, I treat the weird sims as a new occult. Either zombies that do not want to eat your brains, or more like from the movie invasion of the body snatchers.
They both actually like the game, they just have very different ways of showing it lol Like Kayla also thinks the packs are overpriced but she whispers it while FGG screams it xD
@@tessalee4349 lol no worries, you’re not dumb at all! FGG stands for FakeGamerGirl, a relatively small channel that serves for the more chaotic-side of Sims fans. I recommend watching some of her videos, she’s awesome 😌
University was my first and I don't regret it also it offers jobs like in law and education which I really love! As Kayla said, the CAS is amazing for maxis users. I'm usually an alpha cc user but I just love this maxis
Honestly I just really love Strangerville. I got really immersed the first gameplay of it and have played through the mystery about six times. I always use the furniture from it, I absolutely love the top empty lot. You can also spar with people that doesn't look like sims slapping eachother in a big cloud of mist. Also if you bring a piece of evidence to the curio shop they will let you take everything for free. If you get 99 of everything you can get 72,000 just for giving them a photo of a plant. I know that the buildings at the top are basically empty, kinda strange right? But you also have a trailer park and a cool dude living in a plane bunker. The only thing is that I wish is that the reward for saving Strangerville, instead of getting dead fish in your mailbox everyday, it would give you the ability to become a occult plant sim by extracting the head or something.
Honestly I LOVE occults, I honestly want a hybrid occult (where you can make fauns and such). But personally for island living I'd have to agree. I love that there is another occult + the world is beautiful! But you can freely make your sim a mermaid with just 500 satisfaction points, and then you can get rid of it easily? Plus you get the occult, you try the powers out, cool. But now what? I wish mermaids would have been like vampires and witches to where you'd have to earn your powers slowly, I didn't like how it was basically all handed to you. It takes the fun out of the occult. But I do like how the tails look!
As someone who doesn’t have all the packs, the game packs are so weird to me. I don’t see the point. I’d rather spend my money on new worlds in expansion packs or small specialized things in stuff packs. That being said Parenthood is the best ever!
It annoys me how the merfolk are basically immortal/have ridiculously long lifespan and the stupid mermaid genetics being broken where ALL mix offspring are merfolk as well, but I do that from time to time as well, if I didn't get a handy sim to upgrade the weather machine. Mermaids are still the worst occult. 😅
It bothers me that Del Sol Valley has no beach lots. I also wish swimming and diving in Sulani was more like Sims 3. We have neighborhoods, so they could've made diving locations underwater neighborhoods (which would've made sense for mermaids). My First Pet stuff should've given us more small pets and items. It could've given us more options for reptile habitats and terrariums, fish tanks, birds and bird cages, ant farms, sea monkeys, and so on. They should've focused on the idea of providing smaller pets instead of tying it to Cats and Dogs.
I LOVE spa day. It might be my favorite pack, mostly because I'm a big yoga-head and I wish it was even more involved. I wish your sim could be a yoga teacher as a career. Honesty, I wish they had dance stuff, too
Also I bought Spooky Stuff after I bought Seasons because I though they would have more options for wearing costumes on Halloween… no. All my sims have been a mail carrier, pizza delivery person, Luke Skywalker… snooze
