Absolutely agree that Brosnan really is incredible in the physicality of that character. Its such an economy of movement and everything is purposeful that he speaks so much beyond what the lines provide. The Director of Die Hard said the same when working w him, saying he's the most capable actor he worked with in conveying character through just movement

Sean Connery is always and all time the best

Lazenby was in the best Bond film, get over it.

That’s a very good ranking and excellent description alongside. I can’t really disagree with much at all. My rankings are the same apart from Moore edges Brosnan as no.1 because of how entertaining Moore was in the role. I’m doing a rewatch now and next up is TMWTGG. So having watched it only twice so many years ago, I’ll see how Roger fairs up in this, and when I’ve finished the whole rewatch Brosnan may sneak in. Goldeneye is currently my fave Bond film. Moore though has always been my fave. I feel rest below 2 will stay in the same order. If only Connery wasn’t so bland in YOLT as I really like that movie he’d have a chance to be my no.1 but was clearly feeling a bit bored by then, and DAF clearly there for the massive paycheck.

I appreciate your perspectives on the Bond film Rankings and Bond actors. My top Bond Actor Rankings are 6. Lazenby 5. Craig 4. Brosnan 3. Moore 2. Dalton 1. Connery All actors have something good about them, but when I think of Bond, Sean Connery’s portrayal comes to mind first, even with Diamonds, his weakest film overall, but one that like you, I enjoy with repeated viewings. Not great at all coming off of OHMSS, but it sure is fun. Best Bond moment in Diamonds for me is when Connery, looking good in his black tuxedo exits his suite through the window, stepping onto the top of an outdoor hotel elevator looking dapper and cool as can be. I don’t think any of the other Bond actors can pull this off. Of course this isn’t my only reason for Connery at number one for me. The main reason among many, is that he embodies the character. One of the great movie “what if’s”, is what would Connery’s portrayal of Bond in OHMSS bern like? I think he would have been outstanding. He wanted to do the film, but logistics at the time were not feasible so the producers went with Thunderball instead. This is my understanding. That said, Thunderball is my favorite Bond film, with Casino Royale a close second.

Moore is the best forever ❤ But thay did all a good job including Lazenby He was not a actor at all, for that he did a good job 👍

I love anything JAMES BOND!

My current Bond actor order (I do change my mind): 1. Connery - dangerous and deadpan 2. Dalton - intense and committed 3. Moore - humorous and suave 4. Craig - real and violent 5. Brosnan - subtle but generic 6. Lazenby - romantic but superficial I've highlighted what two factors stand out for me with each Bond. The last two come with buts because I'm critical of them. The most two likely to flip around are Moore for Dalton. I'm a huge fan of the Saint (the character) so I love Roger but feel Dalton is closer to Bond. Roger sort of brought his Simon Templar to Bond.

Freaking loved the part about Brosnan on the tsunami! 😂

Good, but a little too many "you knows" though.

I would actually put Lazenby above Craig, Dalton and maybe Brosnan. Even with the stiff acting, Lazenby just fit the role better.
