Vaseline has never been hydrating. It’s a barrier and protectant. It seals in moisture and protects your lips, but it’s not gonna add additional hydration. There’s a difference between moisturizing and hydrating.
Bro Vaseline rosy lips has been my holy grail since hs and it still makes my lips super soft and moisturized. Hold it in your hands for a minute or 2 to heat it up! Love that’s cheap too! 😭
Dior lip oil? I don’t think so. It’s too pricey, just get a different one I use a lip oil called sweet and shimmer and it works so well and smells so good.
Nah. As someone who used both aquaphor is just more moisturizing and immediately softens and hydrates my lips. Idk what the difference in ingredients is between them but aquaphor does it way better
Laneige is my personal favorite. I have gone through about 4 of the jars of the overnight treatment, and I have two of their ‘Lip glowy balm’. I get super dry lips and Laneige is the only one I’ve really had success with. I’ve tried Tatcha’s lip mask as well, and it’s about the same if not a little worse than Laneige, plus it’s more expensive for a smaller jar. If you’re on the fence about trying a boujee lip mask, highly recommend any of Laneige’s products
The leneige lip sleeping mask is my fav. It literally makes my lips so moisturized in 5 mins and is really good. My one and only love leneige lip sleeping mask even tho it's kinda expesive from where I bought it but it was worth it
U should TOTALLY try Lanolips! Its my personal favourite lipbalm and love it so much! I highly recommend it if u have Dry lips/chapped lips. Although they are quite expensive i personally dont mind because i dont go through it as quickly as others might and it just keeps my lips feeling refreshed. I have the ointments, the overnight ointments,lip exfoliants,and the tinted lipbalms and they feel so refreshing on my lips and i highly recommend any of their products!💕
You need to try the C.O Bigelow rose salve! I absolutely love their lip balm. Although the container is hard to unscrew sometimes it’s so hydrating and gives you a pink tint.
People normally (me) well I used to buy products especially lip balms based on the aesthetic of the package but not all good products need pretty packaging.
I used to actually used to use Vaseline, but turns out I was allergic to it! I’m allergic to arm and hammer toothpaste and Vaseline for some reason, but after I found out that aquafor sold chapstick I was all over it. So in the end with the top I have to go with you and give aquafor a 10/10. They definitely have the best items for chapstick, tattoo aftercare, and many other things.
Actually, this may have been the wrong Vaseline. Vaseline has a lip therapy line of lip balms, with rose-scented, cocoa-scented, and plain lip balms. They’re THICCCC and are very moisturizing. The Vaseline Rosy Lips balm is VERY similar in texture to the Laneige lip balm and costs under $2 for a cute little tub that you can take anywhere. One tub usually lasts a couple months for me! And the pink tint is actually in my skin now. I love it!
Don’t get me wrong Aquaphor is amazing, but it should only be used at night because if you use it during the day, especially during the summer it makes you more susceptible to lip sunburns trust me they aren’t fun lol 😂😢
Yes I love aquaphor!❤ I still love summer Fridays, but I gotta try the Laneige lip mask since u said it’s perfect for the price and I have seen good reviews!
I wear vaseline everyday and lanolin pharmacy balm when it's really chapped and Laneige before a good lip day ( as in before going out and wearing beautiful lip colours)
i totally agree, but i’d prob switch vaseline and glossier! aquaphor has ALWAYS been my holy grail, although i have to admit, laneige lip masks are a lot of fun too. also, if you want pigment with the summer fridays, try the poppy red one, i have it and yes it isn’t so moisturizing, but its really pigmented!
I recently found this lip balm, it’s is SUPER HYDRATING, and it stays on for ever. It’s the sephora hydrating lip balm, in the tube. I got the light pink one. It’s amazing, you HAVE a k try. It’s ur goes for around 3-5 dollars.
I like petrolium jelly. Not only does it help prevent the wound from drying out and forming a scab (wounds with scabs take longer to heal) but it also moisturizes your lips in a short amount of time. So if you got somewhere to be and your lips are lookin crusty, pop some petrolium jelly on and in like 5ish minutes you'll have smooth lips 😊
You should try the Vaseline pink tint one, it’s super nice, moisturises and leaves a tint not too pink, it’s pretty cheap too! I think about 2 dollars or 1.50
@@shamiaamer the one she used had just as much of a tint there’s only one kind that that’s the kind you’re taking about and the kind that she used. Everyone has different lip shades so every product is shows up differently on their lips
Hey! If any of you like the summer fridays lip balm, i would recommend the lanolips lips balm instead, it's like 1/2 the price and feels reaaaaallly similar.
Love vaseline sm. The cocoa butter soft, glowing lip product from Vaseline is so gooood it smells like heaven and is so moisturizing. And they also have another one like the rosy lips for soft, pink lips is so good. I also have aquaphor I think it works pretty well. And then by go to lip balm is just carmex you can’t go wrong with them. My lips are just always so hydrated and glowing and soft. Also for a lip glossy balm I like summer Fridays it’s on the pricier side but personally, I think it’s worth the money bc it is super duper hydrating and cute and smells so good. I only have the vanilla rn. ❤
Laneige sucks so bad. I literally bought it and hate it sooo much. It leaves your lips drier than it was before so you have to keep reapplying and reapplying. You should try the Glossier berry. It's inexpensive for a ‘higher-end’ lip balm but I’ve been buying them for two years now and the color pay off is great. Summer Fridays is pretty standard, but I like their beige vanilla shade, it’s really quite pretty even with nothing underneath.
Yes I bought it all excited, also it's online only in my country and price is more hiked up maybe due to customs etc, still I went with the hype and bought it. I have the perpetual dry lips so I had hopes. But after trying I actually had drier lips so I was like it's okay let's give it another try and I woke up to inflamed lips that hurt like hell. Never using it again. It was such a waste. Vaseline one is my favorite and then aquaphor.
I definitely agree, BUT. I do think that summer Fridays deserves a bit of a higher rating. Yes, the tint isn’t there, but if you get a different shade like I did, you can totally see it. It also moisturizes my lips really well, but it can work better for different people
I had severe chapped lip problem for the longest time ever Used to literally apply baby lips every 30 mins to avoid bleeding due to dry lip crack during winters 🥶 Last yr i switched to vaseline lip tin the blue 🔵 one 🤩 I m never giving up on that now Simple formula , no added fragrances , long lasting (lasts upto 6- 8 hrs ) and not too glossy and tacky at all - gives adequate moisture to lips. Packaging is good, sturdy and pocket sized and small amount product is enough for 1 time use.. hence i feel 1 tin will last a long time for me. Currently on my 2nd tin in almost a yr .. Highly recommend the blue vaseline tin ...❤
For some reason aquaphor and Vaseline never have really helped my lips. The laneige lip mask is amazing though, made my lips smooth for a long time, very creamy, smells fantastic, and looks nice on the lips.
Bro the most expensive/ popular ones were on the bottom and the cheapest ones are on the top but she’s being so honest and this is an example of the cheaper USUALLY the better.

Just thought I'd add this- there might be a good reason why the vaseline one feels less hydrating. I looked at the ingredients on the newer one, and i don't think it contains almond oil anymore
I have only used the top 3 from your list. Vaseline is best especially the original flavour . Then aquaphor and laneige actually made my lips worse I woke up to inflamed busted lips in the morning, I was sad because it was such a hyped a product.
Aquaphor worked for me for like 2-3 years, then it wasn’t as effective anymore and eventually my lips inflamed and i can’t wear it anymore 😢 you are the first person that i see to have a reaction to Aquaphor like i do. I don’t feel alone
Personally Vaseline works better than aquaphor for me because aquaphor doesn’t last on you lips while Vaseline moisturizes the lips and stays on looking like a gloss
As someone who has very very dry skin Vaseline is my go to (actually because it traps moisture instead of adding it in, for some reason added in moisture evaporates in like 3 hours for me while locking in the moisture my lips make themselves really heals them way faster) I also use it as a under eye cream because of my allergies (I’m 13 and have 3 non fine lines under my eyes and extreme dark circles) and it helps a lot
For me, the best chap stick is Weleda. It’s about 6 or 7 dollars however the formula is EXTREMELY THICCCCC. It works so well for me bc of its thick formula and it has a super nice fragrance that isn’t too strong. Also it like melts into your lips and it’s the best lip balm if you get chapped lips really easily

Tbh the best lip moisturizer is rosy lips vaseline I’ve tried lots of expensive lip products cuz my sister waste money on that crap and vaseline is my fav ..
