@@OXY187Cyberdemon is the final boss of Episode 2 in the original DOOM, and also of the secret level. In DOOM 2 he became a regular enemy just like Spider Mastermind.
The 2016 one is fantastic and it gave me shivers when I first saw it, but honestly I think eternal's tyrant is a better example of the OG Doom aesthetic
For real, the cacodemon, mancubus, hell knights, Barons, cyberdemon, all looked so damn good. Kind of disappointed they changed them so much in Eternal. In my opinion the horror look worked way better since it made the demons feel more like evil hell powered killing machines, as in more demonic. In the Eternal they seem kind of like weird cartoony monsters that have so much less personality
Eternal was more faithful to the old design but I'd say 2016s design was just so much more creative and badass. I'm all for paying homage to the original doom but I do wish they stuck with some of the more unique demon designs from 2016 rather than going back to the more generic designs of the first games
I loved reading the lore in Doom and Doom Eternal, especially about the demons. The lore and Urdak put this game as my top fps in existence to this day, it pushed Timesplitters Future Perfect from the throne.
Doom 3 has ~90% positive reviews on various ranking platforms, including Steam. People started hating on Doom 3 when Doom 2016 came out and the fanbase expanded with new, younger players who didn't experience the hype and exitement when Doom 3 was released. I remember it quite well and Doom 3 along with Half-Life 2 were discussed non-stop, ppl were sharing their experience and tips on how to beat certain parts of the game. I don't remember a single person who said that Doom 3 is a bad game then, players loved it.
@@Den-z8znah it’s pretty obvious Russia has a tyrant problem. I don’t think anyone will disagree on that. Not that it was a good joke lol. Not funny, didn’t laugh moment
Fun Fact: The eyes on the Tyrant on Doom Eternal are on the sides of the head. This is a common trait found in prey animals so that means that where the Tyrants come from they are the prey.
I love the difference between doom 2016 and doom eternal,s monster designs while doom 2016 goes for a more unique designs on the monsters but are still recognisable as the demons from doom we know while still keeping the horror from doom 3 on the other hand doom eternal goes for a more nostalgia trip on their designs most of the monsters exactly capture the designs from the first and second games like the tyrant and mancubus while bringing back the designs from the previous game with Little differences like pinky has a more dull and pastal colouring while the previous game pinky was a bright pink colour. Btw that doom 2016 cyberdemon design is literal perfection.
I think it's bc they didn't know how it would be in that time, so they didn't take the risk to drop out 100% doom 3... i mean doom 2016 have a loooot of slow parts of small demons in facilities... with Eternal they have feedback so they went all out
I think Doom 3's cyberdemon was very inventive with its design, such as the cybernetic hooves. Although 2016 takes my top spot for its sheer intimidating and audacious appearance.
@@beach9952 I think Doom 3 wasn't an insult at all but more or less a different approach, its a great game that compliments the franchise but necessarily isn't in the continuity
They have the original Imp design being used in DOOM The Dark Ages (can be seen in the trailer) It looks great, even from the couple blurry frames of it
The Doom64 Cyberdemon always gave me nightmares, maybe because of its desing combined with ita colors, his sound, his mechanical leg... God... Starting in the level "Watch Your Step" was Epic
unpopular opinion, I'm not a fan of the tyrant, the non-cybernetic parts are too bland, it got zero presentation like the doom hunter and marauder did, there's no special tactics needed to fight it, just shoot it more, there were several times I thought it was a hell knight for a second, the armored baron is a more interesting fight than the tyrant ever was. it just doesn't stand out on the battlefield like other demons of its class do and in my opinion its an insult to the cyber demons that preceded it
Good to see DOOM 64 get some much deserved love. My first every DOOM game I beat. First one I played was DOOM 3 and I thought it was alright. And I played a little of DOOK 2016 and though it was alright. But then I got DOOM 64 remastered on switch and I couldn’t put it down, this was the mother fucking DOOM I’d been waiting for, it was absolutely perfect, lighting, graphics, tight controls, all the classic weapons and the unmakyr, redesigned enemies (which I think look better than the originals but still have the spirit) it was perfect. Once I beat it I went back and beat DOOM 2016 and liked it much more the second time around and it’s all thanks to DOOM 64
Tyrant and cyberdemons in general looks like what the emo guy would draw on the back of his notebook while not paying attention to class. Years later that emo kid found his own drawing and improved it into a masterpiece
First time I ran into a Tyrant in DOOM eternal was when I went into a slayer gate on call with my friend, who beat the game. I was so scared at first on wth that was
which is kinda funny that 2016 and Eternal than picks on 3 designs for some monsters, like Doom hunters with their sleds coming off Sabaoth, that boss lad with the tank bottom
I feel like the Tyrant and the Arch Vile and maybe some other demons too should have been boss fights like the Marauder in the ARC Complex and then they become mini boss fights during random encounters like the Marauder and Doom Hunters
I kinda wish the cyberdemon had a bit more spotlight in eternal. He's one of the few characters that stands somewhat of a chance against doomguy and I always saw them as kinda having an ongoing rivalry.
Surprised so many people in this comment section finding the 2016 design to be good...I thought it was awful personally, Eternal and the original is the best
Hear me out Doom 1993 It’s.. all right I guess but you know in the middle of the demon there is kind of like… red rope kinda. Doom 64s I HATE IT IT LOOKS LIKE A GODDAMN HORSE but as the first one it’s still kinda have like a red rope in the middle of the demon Doom 3s I mean, it looks looks all right but the mask… also does the cyber demon even supposed to have a mask? The red skin kinda looks ugly, but it looks ok Doom (2016) I personally love the design of it, but I’ve been playing this for over like a year and I still couldn’t even get past the Cyber Demon boss like what the hell besta make the doom 2016s i’m too young to be hurts cyber demons boss fight easier bro. Doom eternals Doom eternal feels like we are in doom 9 also the cyber Demon boss fight isn’t even called a Cyber Demon instead it’s called the Tyrant also the tyrant again looks like a horse but with a gun but on the chest, you could see like a button which day made it a little cooler, but still looks ugly let me cook ok?
Cyberdemon in ultra violence in doom 1993 literally obliterated me multiple times. I can't imagine how much difficult if its in nightmate. Take note that I played doom 1993 in mobile. How? Just search the internet for it
Honestly, on design alone, I actually like Doom 3’s Cyberdemon the best. Helped by the absolutely HULKING size. I feel like I’m just the only person on earth that actively dislike’s 2016’s Cyberdemon. It’s a great design, it just doesn’t look anything like a Cyberdemon to me
Unpopular opinion: If you added dash move to Doom 2016 (and cacodemon grenading), it would trump over Eternal in almost every conceivable way. The simple ruggedness of the combat allowed to breathe in a world with a tighter, more organized color scheme and much more dramatic lighting will always (in my heart) triumph over the almost cartoony direction Eternal Took. Take the Cyberdemon 2016 and then the Fortnite character model that ETERNAL'S Tyrant became.
Anyone else noticed the Armor of 2016 doom body armor looks just like doom guys.... 😮 you don't think.. cyber Demon is a different doomguy that has been twisted by hell
If a new doom game came out they could use some of the doom 3 enemies looks as new ones for us to beat the crap out of (i mostly want to fight the doom 3 cyberdemon)
fighting tyrant be like: WHERES THE SUPERWEAPON AMMO IN THIS FIGHT, BETHESDA the joke is that usually for super hard fights like, well, anywhere that THOSE things exist, there is either a bfg ammo or a crucible charge because tyrants are like tf2 wrangled sentries on crack on the topic of annoying fights, the fight in destroy the icon of sin where if you fire a bfg shot perfectly (destroying a baron of hell, cyber mancubus, a pinky (i think), a revenant who is camping the second bfg ammo AND the soldier that that will likely all be attacking for no reason) you still have to deal with pain elementals, a marauder and 50 agile weak demons who usually kill you if you focus on the main threat too much is ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT even after i changed difficulty from "hurt me plenty" to "i'm too young to die", i STILL got fucked up, any tips? it's after the fight with a buff totem (later on in the fight) and two tyrants *B A C K T O B A C K* also, in between that fight and the one i am stuck on, a revanant, arachnotron, mancubus and (idk if its a baron of hell or dreadknight but judging by the fact that it is easily faltered with the chaingun but needs more ammo used to falter than the chaingun has alltogether, it is likely a baron of hell)
I don't dig D2016 Cyberdemon design at all. He looks fat and his horns feel silly. D3 Cyberdemon was pretty okay imo, he looked very solid with in-game lighting. His bossfight on other hand was stinky and underwhelming
