I always loved her duel with Misty the most, both of them were fascinating characters and... Getting a girl vs girl duel in Yugioh is a rare deal 😅 I think Joey would also be a good character for this new ranking, he didn't have millions of duels and every single one i can think of was really interesting (vs Odion, Marik, Yugi (both times so emotional), dark Mai, Kaiba, Siegfried,...)
Upon rewatching the show I realized despite real life hurdles,the production team made one of the best characters. All the duels were entertaining,the character growth and presence instead of wheel spinning was great,probably one of the happiest endings for a character in the franchise especially considering backstory.They did a phenomenal job.
My three favorite Yu-Gi-Oh characters are all from 5DS (Yusei Aki and Jack) and hearing about the production stuff has made me all the more amazed at how much I loved this series.
Personally, I prefer her rematch against Yusei than her first. It might sound controversial but I just felt more emotionally impactful and has a satisfying closure to the duel. Not to mention her backstory with her father is just downright depressing. Lumps were in my throat every time I see it. No child should ever experience what she went through.
I am still angry with Aki's final duel in the anime being a 2v1 with Crow against Sherry instead of a 1v1 Riding duel between Aki and Sherry. Anyway, my favorite Aki duel is her second match against Yusei.
It was better that way, Ecole Do Zone being used to confuse the enemies and the way Sherry was walking in that field spell was amazing, one of the beat ways to use a field spell in a duel
It felt like they were subtly building towards a duel between them. I can understand Crows involvement, though, given he didn't really have an opponent in the final arc that he was that personally connected to.
My favorite heroine getting recognition. Makes me happy. I really enjoy all of Aki's duels tbh, I dont even agree that Aki gets "worse" post Dark Signer arc. She is neglected for sure, but she is still great. If I had to make a top 3 duels: 1- Aki vs Yusei (By far the best MC vs Heroine duel in all of Yugioh for me). 2- Aki vs Misty round 2 (One of the best dark signer duels. The emotions, the story, the duel. Everything was too good). 3- Aki and Crow vs Sherry
I feel like it's fair to separate how much you like a character from how much you like how the writing handled them. Even though Aki dropped off post Season One, I was always in love with her character and she's one of my favs in the franchise to date.
Love Aki/Akiza In 5ds. She is my favorite Yugioh female protagonist and I would've liked to have seen her duel Divine/Sayer post dark signers arc to give her the closure from the Arcadia Movement. Romin is my second favorite female protagonist and might be my number 1 when Sevens is finished. Overall an amazing character. Awesome Job Dylan. Keep up the great work.
I have they exact same opinion. Aki is my favorite Yugioh girl but Romin in Sevens is probably second for me and that series is still ongoing. I know plenty of people won't give Sevens a chance but literally no character is wasted or is just a oneoff character. Every character comes back at some point and many characters you think would be oneoff characters for a duel get to duel again later.

Aki verse Misty round 2 is definitely my favourite. I love the whole story being told and it flows perfectly with the duel. And the dark reveal was awesome (love when Yu-Gi-Oh goes dark)

At least at that point she could have her own arc about taking down the remainings of the Arcadia Movement on her own. Yusei could also involved but it will be giving him a L for him (consider this will be focused on Aki). if she had one more arc for herself i'm she will be settle the score with Divine & saving (literally) Yusei that maybe held hostage by Divine. And one more thing about Crow. If the fans don't want Crow died as a Dark Signer at least make him the best non-signer duelist & giving him at least a "Dragon Slayer" look Blackwing monster that actually works.
@@ferdykurniatriyuliananda0521 I kind of doubt Yusei would lose there considering most of the duels he should've lost were on that arc (Vizor/Dark Glass, Sherry, Andre, Jean) and the fact losing to a Psychic Duelist means getting severely injured, maybe even death. The Crow-being-the-best-non-Signer part was kinda implemented in S1 seeing as he was the only non-Signer to defeat a Dark Signer one-on-one, and in S2 he also won many duels and could've won against Leo had he chosen to activate Mirror Force

This is a neat idea. Akiza is one of my favorite characters. Her duels with misty were great. My favorite Akiza duel is her rematch with Yusei. I'd love seeing a ranking of Mais duels, Joey's or all of Judais duels.

Not only is Aki is best Yu-Gi-Oh babe in character design, with her beautiful Black Rose Dragon and character in general but she single handled put plant type decks on the map, her duels vs Yusei and vs Misty were my favorites:)
Insane Misty vs. Insane Aki sounded kind of hot but messed up in my mind while yes I knew Yusei vs. Aki was her best duel! I still remember the tension, how Yusei was trying to help Aki and by the end, that look on Aki's face........man that duel still slaps even now and these were a great look at the duels she had. Would not mind at all if you do other characters!
May I recommend doing a rank list the protagonists ace monsters? All the way from Dark Magician to Sevens Road Magician. If that works, you can do the same for rival and best friend character aces.
Jokes aside, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon is Yuya’s ace. Let’s be reasonable and turn this into an Arc V bash comment section please. No offence I hope. Yusaku’s real ace is Decode Talker. Firewall was kinda a side ace before it got banned. While Firewall has had an evolution in the form of Darkfluid as with most other ace monsters, Decode is featured more prominently and delivered the final blow in the season 1 and 3 finales.
I'm going to be that guy and say do one of these for Jayden/Judai Yuki. With flashbacks and short duels he had a total of 100 matches. Excluding those, (because I think some of his season 3 duels in the Duel Dimension were on the short side,) you'd still probably have at least between 70-90 matches to rank... If you decide to take on this monumental task, have fun :)
By my count (estimates will vary based on assumptions over what counts as "short"), there are about 65 duels to rank, including BBT and the Supreme King duels. ...kinda feel like he should aim a little smaller.
Aki was my absolute favourite female character and she was just amazing. My favourite duels has to be both times she dueled Misty because they were so good to watch and both two characters are my favourites. Could you please do Roamin next for this is series?

My favorite is Yusei Vs Aki round 2. The way Stardust was getting whipped by Black Rose and kept getting back up really showed how much Yusei cared for her.

She’s my fav character and I have a plant deck because of her. I wish they made more of her rose cards from the anime and the manga. I’d love to make a rose deck.
My favorite female Yu-Gi-Oh main. Loved her design story and Character as she grows up to heal rather than hurt. Favorite duel was against yusie the first time as yusie promised to not use stardust dragon until jack but he saw Aki as a threat and used him for mutiple reasons which uped the hype for the duel. Another one would be sherry where she and crow beat her to show what team work is all about. All her duels were fun I just wish she had more

Her becoming a d wheeler was pretty cool and I'm sure nobody would expect ealry Aki to become a doctor by the end but that's development at its finest. Also black rose was my first synchro my friend gave me.
Interesting segment, well Aki Vs Yusei, Aki and Crow Vs Sherry and Aki Vs Misty second Duel where really big duels for Aki in my opinion, still a shame we never had her face of against Divine that would have bin easily her best Duel if she would have won that Duel
1. Yusei vs Akiza R2 (The buildup for her character came to a head here and it was glorious to watch. The emotions behind the duel sell it really well and it's the best duel for Akiza in my mind) 2. Akiza and Crow vs Sherry (Of the six great duels of Season 5 this is of course one of the highlights as it shows her regaining her abilities and dedicating herself to be a doctor) 3. Yusei vs Akiza R1 (One of the best duels of the Fortune Cup and it really shows off the dangers of Psychic dueling) 4. Akiza vs Misty R2 (The final regular Dark Signer duel and while it's great at capping off the end of the Arcadia Movement subplot it also does show off some of Akiza's best dueling skills. A problem is that it is technically because this duel wasn't completed fast enough that the Dark Signers accomplished their goal in the end, but oh well I'll count that more as a win for Misty than a loss for Akiza) 5. Akiza vs Misty R1 (A side duel that shows off Misty and Akiza pretty well while there is an awesome murder going on upstairs) 6. Akiza vs Randsborg (A great introduction duel and one I often go back to because of how well it shows off The Black Rose Witch and the great one off of Randsborg and his Level deck) 7. Akiza vs Trudge (The best Turbo Duel Aki had and it was in an episode dedicated to her, also a good showing from both her and Trudge) 8. Akiza vs Koda (A forgettable duel sandwhiched between two of the best duels of Season 1 one of the low points of the Fortune Cup) 9. Akiza vs Andre (Her only duel in the WRGP and it is when she gets steamrolled by Andre only to setup a Yusei Steamroll) If I make a suggestion for a future video in this series I would say Chazz because he doesn't have the most amount of duels, but many of them are either quality or just forgettable and his different decks really helped to determine which duels he rocked in. Although he had 18 Duels to rank so it'd be quite a list.
Also, can I just say how great it was that Akiza lost control of her powers after she started believing that her father didn’t love her and in turn started acting in kind and it was only after she admitted that she still cared about her father and wants to believe he still loves her that she finally started to gain some semblance of control of it. The emotions going through my head in those episodes are the reasons why that duel is my favorite from the early 5Ds duels.
Well, the Randsborg duel also have Eric Stuart talk like an old knight until he lost his composure so much he couldn't maintain the thick British accent. Koda had some anime exclusive cards and was credited as the best profiler on the Sector Security payroll. Akiza and Misty round 2 dumbed down Toby's death as a disappearance. A fanfiction I was working on reunited the Tredwell siblings. But my favorite Akiza duel was Akiza vs. Yusei Round 2. So much emotion, despite the fact Akiza never mentioned that when she used Hedge Guard to protect Black Rose Dragon, the latter's ATK was cut in half.
I just realized that Alexis is the one who has the most duels on screen (but the vast majority are DRAW) and Aoi is the one who has the fewest duels on screen. Yuzu and Serena are tied in their number of on-screen duels. Akiza has more duels than Yuzu and Serena on screen, only behind Alexis. And so, Romin has had 8 on-screen duels so far.
@@brunosanto3488 In fairness to Aoi, everyone in her show's character archetypes had fewer duels compared to the rest, considering how short Vrains was. Not in fairness to Vrains, how they didn't realize what they had in Aoi and wasted it is BEYOND me. With Romin, I'd actually rate her as having had _seven_ on-screen duels, as her duel with Otes (and Luke's) wasn't entirely seen; only Gakuto's was. Still beats out the other female leads by this point, tho.
Anyone else notice 5D's has the most instances of just beat the crap out of people like OG has so many moments where conventional weaponry are outshined by the cardgames GX probably comes second but again most things are byproducts of duels like shock collars Zexals fights and getting injurded outside of duels are mostly the barians pasts Arc-V pretty much only has Kachidoki and even then that was also during a duel 5D's has Yusei, Jack, Crow and Kalian fighting in their past, Yusei and Jack beating up sector security

I really wish we got to see more of Aki in the WRGP and have a riding duel between her and Sherry. It felt like her d wheel training arc kinda just got brushed under the rug
my favorite aki duel is probably either yusei vs aki or aki vs misty well aki vs misty is my favorite it just was awesome a dark singer vs a signer battle i loved it

For me the best 2 duels involving Akiza/Aki are round 2 against Misty and against Sherry. Both for me had the same impact on the main plot of that season. Wether it was Misty making time for the King of the Netherworld to appear which obviously it did or taking down one of the planetary circles things
I think Aki had the best duels in 5 Ds. her duel with the Knight had incredible dialogue, the Yusei duels showed her vulnerablity very well, the Sherry duel (while I wish was solo) had cool interactions and was a nice ending note for her. I loved her style prior to season 2. Cold and calculated with lots of field control. my fave is probably the Misty rematch because she actually moved on from her cruel side here. We saw both the kind, steadfast nature she hid behind her facade and her ruthlessness. last note, while the Team Unicorn duel was infamous for the Yusei 3 v 1, I think it wasnt Aki's fault she lost. Having speed point disadvantage was a HEAVY blow to her. its why she lost momentum so fast.

As a BRD deck main i loved all her duels ans Akiza as a character herself 😊 it just sucks like for the sherry vs crow and akiza its episodes are a bit above where the dubbed stopped at 136
Yusei vs Aki round 1 is definitely the best duel. It also ranks among one of my favorites of the entire show. I wish she got more solo duels after the Dark Signer arc and got to duel Divine aswell
I think this would be a great series to put a spotlight on female characters and their great moments, because often the series themselves shoved them aside. Zuzu, Celina, Mai, Sherry, Ghost Gal, Blue Maiden, and others all had a handful of duels and some of which are absolutely great!
@@mystery8820 Women from Toei didn't come off much better. And they didn't have to be leads; female characters in general, even when they're inexplicably brought back from obscurity like Rei and Taniya or Arc-V-Asuka, still fall by the wayside.
In some cases, it would be better to combine the duels of two female characters in one to have a Ranking of 9 or 10 duels: like Vrains (Aoi and Emma) or Zexal (Rio and Anna).

Akiza remains in my top five of yugioh characters, the other four being Joey Wheeler, Crow Hogan, Austin O’Brien and a fifth switches depending on my mood but it’s either Jack Atlas or Gong Strong. However I disagree with the number 1 duel Akiza was involved in. I’d say my favourite is her first match against Misty because I think that made me question weather or not I wanted to relate to Akiza(I was bullied a lot as a kid and found her anger and hatred very relatable) but that duel made me question it. The dark signers in many ways were not Saturday morning cartoon villains a lot of them had legit reasons for their actions. Misty I think more than the others, just wish she’d have gotten more development and maybe returned later but it’s nice to know she and Akiza became friends.
Ranking every Zane Truesdale Duel x3 obviously Zane vs Yubel would probably top the list, but it'd be interesting to see how you'd rank the rest of his Duels
When I watched Aki vs Yusei R2 for the first and every other time, I couldn't enjoy the end because I still didn't like Aki's parents untill the very last episodes when they had to recall on Yusei *FOR THEUR OWN DAUGHTER AGAIN* lmao
Akiza, my favorite character ever, second is Kisara. I even drew Yusei and Akiza together when i was a teen. My older bro ask what im drawing and i didn't want to show him, but he force himself to look at 😭 (im so cringey 😅). Yes, I'm saying I ship Akiza and Yusei so hard, even as I'm almost 30. And also, why aren't they together 🫠
