Interesting ranking. I personally would rank The Dark Knight below Breaking Dawn but above Eclipse, and Batman 1989 in between Eclipse and New Moon. Respect you boys' opinion tho!
Here’s the DEFINITIVE order of these movies: Batman ‘89 Batman Begins The Dark Knight Twilight New Moon Eclipse Breaking Dawn - Part 1 The Dark Knight Rises Breaking Dawn - Part 2
*I can’t believe when talking about batcave you didn’t talk about the intruder alert scene. When the cave knows there is an intruder and instead of locking things down, it raises the batmobile up on a lazy Susan*
I’m guessing number one is dark Knight for Robert pattinson’s performance as Edward Cullen-Nygma. He was such a good Riddler. Bit of a weird move to make him a vampire but it worked so well
My ranking: Mask of the Phantasm Batman (1989) Batman Begins Dark Knight Lego Batman Batman Returns Dark Knight Rises Batman v Superman Justice League (Snyder) Batman and Robin Batman Forever Killing Joke Justice League
Unpopular opinion: I know that TDKR isn’t as good as TDK but I like it more because it’s the first film in the trilogy where Batman’s life sucks so much that I’m not annoyed about how broody he is.
I think Rises is better than Begins and if you remove the Joker from Dark Knight it wouldn't be very good. At least with Rises everyone's own story is as interesting as each others
I like a lot of ideas it brings and am happy it's like the one superhero movie with an ending. But there are just a lot parts that just were not entertaining to me.
@@autismgains2216 You’re so right… I was blind… The Room is a better movie than Citizen Kane… I can say this and you can’t argue with me because there’s no objective standard.
@@JustWandering I don't think you know what objective means? You can't argue over opinions??? Lol, what are you talking about???? Please, tell me what is the mathematical formula or scientific method for determining the quality of a movie. Also, yes, The Room is absolutely better than Citizen Kane.
I haven't seen Batman Forever in possibly 2 decades so I can't speak to it's quality, but I have seen Batman & Robin more times than the average person and the truth is that movie is just dull and there are multiple interviews with the actors saying they were told not to put much effort in and that it was mainly created to sell toys first. I feel like all the memes and jokes about the Bat Credit card have given that movie a false image of being some colorful silver age masterpiece when it was really just a souless cash grab. If people do want a wacky Batman, there are so many other choices like the '66 show or The Brave and the Bold.
this is a very stupid thing to be annoyed about but it bugs me that the third Burton/Schumacher Batman is called "Batman Forever" and the fourth is "Batman and Robin". Not only is the third one the one that actually introduces Robin, but that's just a great pun they through down the toilet with Batman Forever. How is Batman Forever not the Fourth movie? Batman 4Ever. So easy.
I don't remember ever thinking that there was too much padding in the 'BvS' Bat-suit ... I just remember seeing the scenes where Affleck's doing all that shirtless Crossfit to get ready to take on Superman and thinking "Holy sh*t, Affleck is JACKED!". Because he was genuinely huge, even without the suit. Also, 'Batman Returns' rules. Love that movie, though I'll concede that it's much more a Tim Burton acid-trip fantasy movie than a Batman movie.
I was in Zia records earlier (which also sells collectibles), and the Batfleck figure actually has shorter arms than every other Batman figure, because his suit was so bulky, that his hands could only drop as low as his waist.
33:58 "Now Batman's grown up and you've grown up" I've never heard it explained better. People were bonkers for that movie. Everyone received the VHS tape for Christmas that year. EVERYONE!
The james bond Tom Holland easter egg part had me joining in using the voice. "And I'm guess your thinking was there any hints within the film that I'm James Bond....Noo!" :D
Under the Red Hood, Dark Knight Returns, Gotham Knight, and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker should have been included. My wife, who when we met didn’t really care for animated media, told me that she likes animated Batman films more than the live action ones so far. We’re looking forward to the new one coming out but even just a year ago she wouldn’t have cared about Batman.
Animated version of live action idea: A Nightmare on Elm Street. It lets story ideas and scenarios lead without having to worry about special effects. Robert Englund could even do the voice work without the physical demands.
I’d definitely have a different ranking to you. 9.Batman and Robin 8.Batman forever 7.Batman vs superman 6.Batman 1989 5.Batman returns 4.Batman: mask of the phantasm 3, 2 and 1. Just The Nolan films
The thing about the Lego Batman movie - which we have in our household on DVD and is one about once every 6 to 8 weeks - is that at a couple of points, both Batman and Bruce Wayne blows a disapproving raspberry when there's something he doesn't like but he knows he has to do and in the last couple of watches my 7yo daughter has picked up on this, so when we say to her something completely reasonable like "it's time for bed" or "can you please help take the dishes to the kitchen" she replies with a "fffrrrrrruuuuupppp". Thanks Lego Batman.
Thank YOU for being mad at the “Nightwing, no wait. Still Robin” thing. Nightwing is my favourite DC character and they screw him up in the live action ones so much.
I really liked the new batman movie. I feel like it's story could have been a good comic book, which makes sense, because it is loosely based on the long halloween storyline. I feel like ive finally seen batman from the comics on the big screen. It was a lot of fun and it was refreshing in a world of paint-by-number marvel movies. I love the batman it creates, and how it sets him up for movies to come. Batman loves gotham, despite how hellish it is, and in future movies he will be a protector, not an avenger.
I am surprised how bad I find your ranking, I usually feel my opinions somewhat align with yours but jeez, Batman V Superman over The LEGO Batman Movie?! That's straight silly
My personal ranking of the Batman movies would have to go: TDK Lego Batman Batman 1989 Batman Begins Batman Returns Mask of the Phantasm BvS Batman Forever Justice League ZSJL I haven’t seen 66 or BaR, though the latter is on Netflix so I might watch it just to complete the Batman movies, but I really have no interest in it outside of that
I was surprised to find out no one finished Legion as I got 3 episodes into season 3 and just stopped watching for no apparent reason and I always said I go back to finish it off but still to this day haven't and truthfully have no desire to finish it off. Even though it was such an amazing comic book tv show probably the best made with regards to making it really feel like something other than just another comic book show.
My current ranking (I haven’t seen TDKR yet and I’ve only seen three of the animated movies, also no including the Justice League films): 1. The Batman 2. Mask of the Phantasm 3. The Dark Knight 4. The LEGO Batman Movie 5. Batman Begins 6. Batman 1989 7. Batman 1966 8. Batman Returns 9. Batman & Mr. Freeze: Subzero 10. Batman Forever 11. BvS 12. Batman & Robin 13. Catwoman (yes I’m counting that) There is a part of me that likes Batman Begins more than the Dark Knight because I’ve rewatched the former a bit more recently whereas I haven’t seen the latter in nearly 4 years so my opinion of it isn’t as cemented as it is for the former.
I actually kind of agree with you. She's kinda underappreciated , I liked her performance matched with that piano they play for her she really did a good job .
@@henrychinaski5938 the scene where Bale confronts her for breaking into his safe and she goes from simpering to badass in a heartbeat was what won me over.
@@MrOtistetrax yes and I love where she goes from badass to crying in the bar soon after that. I enjoyed her performance alot , idk why people don't give her the credit .
Dang. Fellas, I have to tell you... _Batman Forever_ is better as a movie than _Batman Returns_ any day of the week. Though I can't tell you that you made the wrong choice.... Because Michael Keaton and the rest of the cast is better in every way... Damnit! Nevermind!!!! Also, don't let people tell you that you made the wrong choice with thinking _Batman Begins_ is a better Batman movie than _The Dark Knight._ Batman is BARELY the main character is TDK, but in Begins? Almost every scene is Batman-O'Clock!
Personally I think the next bond movies have a few bonds then have him go missing for ages and build up to a finding James Bond movie where a few agents spend a movie trying to find him
For me it’s The Batman The Dark Knight Batman Returns Batman 89 Batman Begins Batman 66 The Dark Knight Rises Batman v Superman Batman & Robin Batman Forever
No mention of Batman Ninja in the rankings, the only Batman with time travel, fighting robot castles and a monkey army. In the bat shit crazy ranking it gets a 10 out of 10.
