Personally would have switched Fernando and Inara, since Nando's most played playstyle is only putting up a shield while getting healed. And Inara can use all of her abilities to defend instead of just one shield AND agressive Inara is one of the best and underrated playstyles imo :p
Unpopular opinion: I really like playing Koga. His gun does a lot of damage, he can weave in and out of gun fights and you can cross up your opponents very easily, and switching to Dragon Stance to finish someone off is very satisfying.
i used to enjoy when we had the master of arms talent, basically giving him unlimited ammo as long as you hit your shots. Amazing when you shred makoa ult without reloading
I don’t agree with most of this, but I definitely do with Evie. I absolutely love her high movement kit, it’s so satisfying. I’m not the greatest Evie, still practicing on controller, but I still enjoy her even when being destroyed.
I've been loving lileth's play style with her healing and dog playstyles also her movement feels really good once you get the hang of it, she can feel clunky sometimes but I still love her ngl
i think everyones fun tierlist is different. it really depends on what you play/played most and your playstyle. i like to play healers or dps and imo seris is one of the most fun champs in the game cause she can do all of it (flank dps heal utility) and its pretty satisfying to do all that for ME
@@cryptiik9311 i said "she can", not that i do it or anyone should do it. i play 99% of my seris games with heal builds, but i can still dish out some damage or take down a backline if i really need to even without changing my build. thats why i would rate her high in my own fun tierlist cause she CAN, at any point, be pretty versatile edit: changed 90% to 99% cause i pretty much never play with other builds lol
@@qwqqwq7409 yea off supports are an exception as theres already a main healer tho seris would usually be better as a main healer anyway and an off support could be something like grohk or furia
I know a lot of people say he's boring but I really have a lot of fun with Caspian especially since the buffs he's got. The Everywhere at once talent is so fun when the conditions are met to run it and measured cadence while kinda lam imo I find fun with when I decide to not just spam gun. Glad to know your thoughts on each champion, I always love hearing others opinions on paladins, great video.
@@TheUncold I did the same thing and added the increased hitbox on the second hit but I found little success with it lol. I made another one where I use the sustain cards that give him healing and shields when the stacks expire to stay alive in a fight. Also I'm convinced they shadow buffed deadly momentum bc it feels so faster without the card now which makes it even better
Caspian is so much fun. Seeing him in D Tier is a bruh moment. I guess that Lockout at the end of the dash is a dealbreaker (even though it is barely there anymore)
@@JABRIEL251 No I don't bash on people who think he's lame bc to an extent it is true and like he said you need to take the time to master him. I see Caspian the same way he sees Evie which is why I stuck with him, I saw something cool and wanted to keep doing it and got addicted
Yo Andrew, after playing overwatch 2 for a little it made me realize just how different each game plays and how much more I like paladins. I think it would be a pretty good idea to make a video highlighting the main differences of each game to maybe get some of the veteran overwatch players to try it out or just bring more people to the game etc. Along with that you could highlight which characters are similar so they have a easier time choosing a character
@@NameHere2243 that video if i recall correctly mainly focuses con the loadouts and the item shop as the main difference, but there is quite a difference on the design of characters as well OW design has characters specifically made to counter others, with just a handful being generalists, and all characters having one shots or low time to kill Paladins through the years has had counters, but for the most part every character can fight each other. Also because of the item shop (and cauterize) characters can have a lower TTK, high healing and really hard CC without feeling horrible to play
Just because Vivian is a derivative character, that doesn't mean she's one-dimensional. She has quite a lot of utility, in a matter of fact. Yes, you can always play her like a brainlet by just holding LMB with "Opportunity in Chaos" talent, but Vivian is also really freaking fast with maxed out "One Step Ahead" card, using which you can become some sort of a high-sustain flank. Her default talent, paired with the right deck and the new Blast Shields item, makes her somewhat effective off-tank with aggressive playstyle. I would personally rank her higher then Viktor, as I consider him to be a champion ruined by outdated mechanics (such as shaking iron sights when taking damage) and power creep. I also did not heard anything really convincing for why Lilith is so unfun. Hard disagree on that she feels miserable: her kit is perfectly functional, is not overpowered nor overtuned and also probably the least buggy out of all champions this year.
I love running Vivian as offtank(in casuals ofc)! I surprise them with Booby Trap burst, turn off my brain and just go zoom zoom hold W+LMB with maxed movement speed :D
well Ying is just complicated you got to play alot with teleportation shatter then teleport back etc I find her quite fun specially to see others confused by always facing me and not me and boom.
Before anything else. Andrew, thank you for still making content about paladins. Tbh, I can perfectly explain and understand why you put the champions are their respective tiers. Most fun for me I'd dmg koga, least fun for me are snipers
It's crazy how on the one end, evie is suuuuuper fun when you know how to play her because the plays are freaking sick. But on the other end, it's really hard to have fun with her when you don't know how to play her because you feel useless
Was fully expecting Skye to be in bottom tier lmao Khan is my favourite champ to play(it depends on my mood really) because his playstyle is so consistent and simple. Like there's no annoying bs that you have deal with in his kit and he winds up all the much better
Lately Talus and Corvus have been my favs to play. I love just running in melting teams and getting out with talus, wish they reworked some of his talents cause inner strength is the only one that’s actually fun and viable
To me, I would put Koga on the top of A but ONLY with Dragon Fangs, cuz that's my main playstyle, Adrenaline Junkie is fun and very good but Dragon Fangs is just right up my alley, also Io is an S tier in terms of pure fun, before you pick up a pitchfork, open the game, go to Io, make a new build and put Skywalker at max lvl, you can thank me later.
Nice list the only thing I really would change is Grover and Barrik. Barry just sits on point puts up a Barricade with no range. Grover just be throwing axes all game feel like I’m playing Betty just spamming lol
Now that you say it, I want a tank moji! That needs to happen lol shes bascially a tank already so they just need to lower her dmg to be more in like with ferns flamethrower and buff her hp and she would with a healing playstyle similar to raums, then maybe replace her aoe dmg talent with a more tanky one so she doesnt just mow teams down up close but instead maybe has more survivability and that would honestly make for a super fun tank
I am a proud Pip main. And sure, the healing playstyle is really fun (we don’t talk about the healing flask talent) but I really enjoy the dps Pip style. Just jumping around killing people is so much fun.
kasumi when she uses her primary fire stabing her doll its like me when im stressed and it kinda makes me go psychotic seeing her do it and i accidently got penta kills
I have the same issue with Maeve's pounce getting stuck on hit boxes when trying to escape. My suggestion is for them to make it so you can indicate whether you want to use pounce as a movement ability or as an attack by either double clicking right click or single clicking right click. For example, if it's single click for movement and double click for attack, then the single click would use pounce while ignoring hit boxes so you don't get stuck and the double click would use pounce while being able to collide with hitboxes. It would be nice if you could choose which option is single and which is double too.
For my tierlist, I put Tyra on S tier list. Because she is really fun to play for years, well not everyone has the same opnion as mine... You can try all champions to decide who you really like to play with ^_^
I’m surprised you put Lilith that low, she has quite a unique combination of mechanics that make some sense when put together IMHO. Not great for high level ranked I’d imagine, but great for casual gameplay
Torvald is my favorite frontline to play, however I feel like to have a good time/ be viable with Torv you really need to have another frontline on your team. His damage is surprisingly good for a frontline and upgrading nullify with direct current is usually my go to for his talents considering the other two are just really meh.
here is my top 2 most fun champ for every category”basically my main and secondary main for every category”. Flank: Maeve 1st, vora 2nd Frontline: Inara 1st, ash 2nd damage: Willo 1st, lian 2nd Support: Io 1st, ying 2nd This list might change in the future, I am usually a flex player, but these are the champions I currently pick the most often.
Great list, but could you potentially try and show clips of the hero you’re talking about in future videos? As a new player this guide isn’t super helpful because I don’t know their kits so categorizing heroes as “boring” or “just not fun to play” without seeing gameplay makes the list a bit opaque. Otherwise I appreciate your content and keep rockin’!
"her auto-aim takes the fun out of the game, both to play as her and to play against her." If you didn't watch the video, you'd have no idea I wasn't talking about Lian.
For me .. why I still play the game .. is my mommy yagorath 🥴🥴 I just extremely enjoy rolling ppl with her ...spitting acids debuffing them for eternity .. but yeah as you said she needs a good team comp to full off . like hv gone crazy multiple times and made 25+kills with her but end up losing the match .. she's 170lvl
Sha Lin is pretty fun if you have like speed build where instead of sitting at one place, you keep changing your position and combine that with recurve and morale boost, BOOM you got a arrow turret that just never gets boring to play with :)
Honestly, as a Pip main I think you really nailed where you put him on this list. Pretty high on A, but maybe not that high-skill enough to hit S tier. He's still definitely my favorite champ, but he deserves where he was put. The only thing I disagree about on this list is where you put the snipers. I actually really love snipers in games so I would put them a bit higher on this list, but I will admit that using a sniper in paladins specifically wouldn't be as fun as playing, say, Androxus. Overall, really amazing and thought-through tier list!
My favs on every class Damage: Imani( Best Ult in the game imo) Flank: Skye ( Easy kills and best kasumi counter) Tank: Inara ( paired with a good healer you’re UNBREAKABLE!) Support: Ying for Offense, Pip for Balance, Mal Damba for Full on heal Machine
if some maps weren't so bad collision wise and if vii's countless other playstyles were a bit more optimized, he'd be one of the most fun flanks for alot of people im pretty sure. never really got bored of flying and speeding around the map constantly.
yo yo yo why dumping on Llith. What I like about Lilith is that you can use her abilities in different ways. You all think shes boring, ah? well here are some tips to spice up your gameplay: Swarm: Most of the time you will want just charge it up to the 2nd lvl. It gives you time to do other thing inbetween, like healing another teamate or do dmg. Try to predit where your ally will go, just like damba's gourd. Dint be afraid to use swarm to deal dmg, remember it goes trough shields. DONT SPAM, it will leave you at 1 hit for a lucky flank who will get a free kill. Swarm DOES NOT give you blood back, its will only heal you, it will heal the blue bar on your health, which is minimum. Hex Mark: As with many marks, its convenient to always mark the flank on your team, so they get heal even if you dont have vision. The mark lasts for 8 seconds, has a 4 seconds cd. This is important. The mark not only heals and dmg, it your ONLY way to gain blood back, which is essential for your abilities. The more the mark lasts, the more blood it gives you back. Try to always let the mark end so you get the most blood back. Dont reuse it every 4 seconds unless it needes to heal someone. Death wings: 4 seconds cd. Its really spammable. Dont be afraid to use to to reach allies and reposition or to gain distance between a diving flank. If you want reach a highgorund, try jumping before useing deathwings or walljumping againts a wall before using death wings (wall jump is a paladins mechanic, your jump is doubled when hear a obstacle, it also boosts some champs movemenet abilities, not sure if it boosts deatwings, but walljumping before using is more vertical distance). Remember you ca nreactivate the abilitie to slam to the floor. You can use this to dmg an diving flanke, meanwhile making youself harde to hit, and with good timing you can dodge a deadly shot like an strix shot or a shaling arrow. Bood Moon: Pretty much makes you inmortal. Also its not THAT impactful, so dont be afraid to use it just to save yourfelf. You being alive will be more useful to your team than your ult. The abilitie gives you 50% dmg reduction while your casting it (you can tank some deadly ults if needed). It gives you increased movement speed, increased jump (you can almost fly with death wings) and regenerate 525 blood every second. With all this, you can fly around stomping people with death wings and spamming swarms. It also gives your allies 35% pure lifesteal to your allies (not affecte by anti-heal). If you want the life steal to not go to waste, use it when your allies is tsraing to push, mith at least half of their healthbars. Its not a ying ult, if you ult when your allies are low, they will die anyway and it will be a waste. Oh it als oreveals all enemies but ONLY to you. Here some "combos" or "plays" to do: If a flank is diving you. Just throw EVERYTHING you got on them. You mark them to deal dmg, you jump to avoid being hit, try to slam them with the death wings stomp, use swarm at lvl one (dont waste time in the fight charging it up), all this while shooting. You have pretty good chances to win actually, but watch out, swarm and death wings will cost you your own health. If youre pretty low by the timethe flank is diving you, youre pretty much dead. Thats optimizing the hex mark blood and not spamming swarm its important. You have low dmg, but with your extense health bar, you will live enough to kill the flank. If you dont have the extense full bar, your low dmg will not be enough. Dont be afraid to ult if you feel like your gonna lose the 1v1, remember, yourself being alive is way more useful to your team that you underwhelming ult. in Few ocassions you might want to fully charge a swarm, like when its the first swarm you through or during the first seconds on the round. Only charge to the max when you got the time to afford it. You gotta do dmg too. MOST of the time you might want to just charge it to the 2nd lvl. If your tank has some kind of shield, like a makoa or fernando, its highly reccomendedto charge the swarm to lvl 3. With their shields ,they will be able to get out of teh anti-heal effect and your swarm will most probably refill their entire healthbars. Again, most of the time, just charge it to the 2nd lvl or dont charge it at all. If you dps/flank is at 1hp, its a good idea to both mark them and drop a swarm at lvl 1 or 2. Hex mark heals nothing during the first seconds, sou they might get killed by a a flank while your mark is still ramming up. Heal them with both a mark and a swarm to make sure they dont die. ALL THEESE is what a pro Lilith tend to be aware of during a match. As you can see its a complex champ. Its pretty tough to play her, but some peeps find fun in complex stuff, and to be completly honest, Lilith healing is way to strong, provided you know how to play her. High risk, high reward. Thats why I play her. Also redhead chicks really turn me on but thats just me thanks for coming to my TedTalk.
Tbh, I just can’t agree with all the people that hate on Seris. I’ve NEVER been one to enjoy support characters, but it was love at first game with Seris. Yeah, you just shoot soul balls and heal. But if you’re actually good with Seris she is very fun, and very hard to play against. Yeah, I’m a damage Seris, but I do more damage AND healing than everyone else
I've left paladins for a minute. I haven't seen what has happened or what the new patch is like. Is it worth returning? And would I have a good time playing again? Idk.....well see I play on console so things get pretty toxic pretty quick.
Playing speed talus is one of the most fun things in the game imo, running and jumping around dodging almost every bullet and deleting people with overcharge is extremely fun
Honestly if they gave Vora extra tendril range and made double tendril an innate part of her kit instead of a talent, I could see her being S, but for now A fits, even as a diehard Vora who would put her S personally
I disagree with Cassie’s placement. Imo exaction is one of the higher skill talents in the game. You can make insane plays as Cassie and even be a very successful flank style champion with a good exaction build
Skye has a lot of potential but GOD DAMN do they hate stealth in this game. Preparation should increase her ult charge rate by 60% (Like Earthsplitter) or make it only cost 50% to cast (like Snow Globe). This would make her a lot more fun in my opinion as people either have to tank the 3k damage or run away. Hidden should have 3 charges with a reduced duration (maybe 3s?) Her Passive should up her movement speed while stealthed by at least 40% seeing as she is a Flank with no invulnerability or movement burst.
Easy way to fix pounce, just make it go through champions and damage them. If you are scared of the mini buff of hitting multiple targets then make it where she does reduced damage after the first target
I like how it doesn't matter what you're main is, everyone know Evie is one of the most enjoyable Champions to play and if you don't like it, it's because you haven't dedicated enough time to master her (which I won't blame you, dedicate time in whoever you want). I'm the only decent Evie in my group of friends, yet everyone know she's probably the most fun but again, they want to dedicate time in other Champions which I won't blame them... Heck, I only started enjoying Evie after playing her a lot which wasn't fun at the beginning with me being destroyed and all of that.
my only issue with caspian is if your not running rouges tempo with the card that gives him stacks when using it at less than 3 levels he becomes a useless liability. they should increase the base length of his stacks
