As someone who mainly plays as chomper(specifically armour chomper) in at least garden ops, he is s tier. This Is because(at least for my loadout) I can fully tank 2 superbrains and kill them, or 1 disco zombie and kill him and can act as a tank for my teammates. Tho I'm not good at pvp so I have to (probably)agree with you.
as a chomper main, i agree with this list, but one thing i dont agree with is having twilight in the “bruh” list, he looks sick as unicorn chomper, overall 9.5/10
Chomper in would be so sick if it took a page from the Hunter from L4D, a leap pounce attack that could be used for attacking and ambushing enemies at higher elevated spots or escaping. But here are some general suggestions that could really help Chomper out in GW while still keeping it's identity. -Remove the spotting icon for it, allows more stealth strats -Have it be the only class that cannot be crit, so it can tank better -Give it a signature sprinting mechanic -Make Devour and Biting/Breath attack set to different buttons -Speed up the devouring process, from the initial attack animation to the swallow, just please...
I don't think a legendary mode that requires 4 swallows makes him good and sure he does more damage but...... He has a slower fire rate and only has 1 damage upgrade so he should really be placed in the same tier as regular chomper
Just from you putting Armoured Chomper’s design at “get out, I think you dislike Future-look. I still play Armour Chomper because he’s one of my favorite plants and I love playing as shitty plants or unpopular plants.
As a chomper main I could yap all day, but really I kinda agree with all of this, but I would've personally put base chomp higher because he has health, power, and a little speed. with a good strat I can get high kill games even with 2 max ranks, so with a plan, you can do way better. but I will not yap about that. nice video!
I like power chopper in gw2 more then gw. I think the blues are very nice and yes keeping the bolts of lightning in his mouth would’ve been nice, I just don’t feel that the purple catches the electric vibe.
Chompers aren't bad, they are supposed to be played sneakily and ur not supposed to go up to a zombie. they also have goop so they can help support their teammates at long range. disco chomper is one of the best because of that playstyle as well as yeti chomper who dont even require goop because he can freeze enemies behind walls
I've personally think the yeti chomper is one of the best chompers. But you cant play him like a regular chomper, you have to play damage support. So the best thing you can do is put yourself behind a wall and shoot over it. Even if the snow ball only last 2.5 seconds, i can hit people 100 meters away at most. Which is still fucking far. If im delusional i would say S tier. But yeti chomper is more like a low A to top of B tier. I'v gotten most assists almost every time i'v played him. Also maybe it helps that im a PC play IDK
All chompers are actually significantly worse on pc only. Pc players are the only ones able to bypass the heavy sensitivity restriction on goop while console/controller players end up pretty much incapable of turning whatsoever and effectively stunned.
@@johnbiff2664 thats to be expected. Thats why i say yeti chomper is better on average. You can goop some one, so you have to freez them. Plus yeti artillery cannon.
I think you put count chompula a bit too low, he actually has my highest kill streak with a chopper that was around 12 (I don't remember the exact number) and if your able to run away when you swallow zombies the healing is awesome Edit: power chomper in my opinion would go a little higher just because the lobbies I get in people are closer together so the arc damage is really good but it's pretty luck based
Chompers arent awful. I have a bunch of fun whenever I play Hot Rod or Yeti Chomper. Its just when you're a Zombie and theres an army of chompers in Turf
i dont think armor chomper is f tier he probably d or c ye he slow but he makes up for it in the massive bite damage and just play more defensively edit: also chomp cannon exists
I like the idea of a chomper doing alot of damage with there bite. However being slower is REALLY BAD for a close range class . I think he would need a rework to have hime be average speed still do 50 BUT have him have like 125 hp so he is like a glass cannon. Idk if that would make him better but its a start😢
Being slow is bad for a close range character, yes but low health is also bad so it's not even bad. Chomper isn't even a true melee character since he has goop. Because of goop, you don't even need that much speed since your slowing your oponent down and even then he can take advantage of slopes. Why would you redesign a armor variant with less health 😂 than the base variant and if you want a high damage bite chomper with speed, just play twilight🤣
@fearlessgabe1509 having low health IS THE POINT he is a glass cannon Also every chomper has goop but being slower means the chance of the enemy seeing you going up and with dps being hight on zombies health is not gonna make up for the lack of speed.
@@mreggjr6365 my point is that you don't "rework" a "ARMOR variant" into a "GLASS cannon" especially when he has the word ARMOR in his NAME. I'm not sure if you know this but armor makes you more tanky so giving him low health is just confusing. His high damage isn't really a gimmick. He does 45 damage but he has a slower bite which characters like twilight and disco already do but these characters have extra abilities so the gimmick alone isn't interesting enough. If you were going to do something like this, make him do like 100. The changes you proposed would nerf him not buff him 😭. So your telling me you want a variant that can sometimes kill faster regular Chomper and has 50 less health. I'm not sure if you know but that would make him terrible compared to regular Chomper. Honestly an extremely bad rework. If you want to design a new variant, do that and not rework a unique character that is completely different from what you want. Now.. let's talk about how you think speed matters so much over health. The first thing you say is that being faster allows you to be more sneaky but you forget that Chomper is terrible at being sneaky since he is pretty loud when moving, using burrow and that he's very big. Every Chomper even in that scenario has goop to win the fight. It's best to wait for your opponent to come to you and then ambush them which doesn't require that much speed. You want extra health so you can win 1v2s and 1v3s more easily which speed isn't going to carry on. This is why hot rod isn't the best because he dies too quickly and sure he is great in 1v1s but any Chomper can do that and sure he can use his speed to avoid unwinnable fights a little bit easier but then all you can do is spam goop which every Chomper can do and they can also all use burrow as a escape option. Also the lower health will make it a lot harder to defend points and objectives which other chompers with higher health do a lot better. Your supposed to either ambush and help defend or team up with your teammates. A Chomper and Cactus complement each other's weaknesses. Cactus can struggle against characters that are very powerful at close range(scientist, super brainz, all star, dead beard, etc) while Chomper can struggle with groups and lacks a good kill option at range. Cactus can't be rushed anymore because the Chomper is guarding the cactus while the Chomper can goop the opponents from range and the cactus can get a free kill off of them if we are talking about console goop. PC goop is a lot easier to deal with but this pretty much applies. It's a fact that you can't goop all the zombies at once so having that extra health helps a lot so it's more important than speed. Hopefully you can change your ways and not praise speed on a Chomper like it's the thing that makes or breaks the Chomper. Health is still one of the most important things for a melee character, especially Chomper.

The chomper class is very limited in range and mobility, the super brainz class is a better version if the chomper class due to their mobiltiy and laser beam

@@dashret410 he means as a supporting move it's the best ability in the game, it literally can't do much on its own that is why Chomper is completely banned in 2 v 2's even Chomp thing and Armor Chomper aren't actually bad in 2 v 2s because of Goop it's a stun you can repeatedly get back very fast to help ypur team get K.O's and it synergizes with bean bombs and makes bigger better buttter synergize well with it
@@nicholasaugello2534 yeah but on his own just with chomper it's really difficult to pull things off, my point is that all classes shouldn't completely rely on others to do the job, chomper needing to rely completely on others to kill people who are just *away* or in long range it's really not good, other characters such as super Brains don't have this problem because well *heroic kick and higher jump* and most scientist because they can just teleport in front of you
toxic chomper sometimes is criminally underrated as for me because it was so much fun playing as him and like vomiting on zombies was satisfying and well i was going in circles doing it not just standing but going from left to right can also be a good tactic so toxic chomper is underrated and criminally because he has toxic aura and the toxic attack and also jugling with his attack can make insane DPS
