Troodon definitely deserves the hate it gets. They took the venom and general build from JPTG too (compare it to actual Troodontid skeletons, especially the skull). Being nocturnal was probably from the game too, because I doubt the devs researched the animal long enough to tell it might have been nocturnal in real life. Is it omnivorous in game? It should be omnivorous so bonus points if it is, I guess. It relies on multiple players to function, and animals like that will just not work with a full roster. The skins ain't bad. Funky blue rizz, rave vibes while looking sensibly natural. The name is attached to a tooth taxon, meaning that while Troodon is a mystery tooth now (and for reference of mysteriosity, one we once thought was associated with Pachycephalosaurs), it teeeechnically is still a real fossil animal. Using it instead of a relative kind of gives away that you're more interested in name fame than having any educational value whatsoever, but hey, nobody ever accused the Isle of even having potential as a teaching tool. That's it just came here to drop Troodon hate; your opinions are alright
32:16 I will look like a nerd because of this but Maggy is actually a Romanian Citizen from the Island of Hateg. The same island where the largest animal to ever soar the sky call home, the Hatzegopteryx.
The Spinosaurus design kinda sucks. They could've gone so many different routes, but decided to go the most basic uninspired one. In fact, even the hypo spino has a better overall design than the current one.
My idea for Velo, since you're likely gonna be alone anyways, is to have it be an opportunistic Solo-Survivalist that can make-do with any situation its in, kinda like a hybrid between a fox & a raccoon, 2 very good generalists, which will contrast from troodons heavy pack-based playstyle. Quick ground movement, some small climbing abilities, maybe even gliding if its feathered, an omniverous diet where it hunts other small tiers, scavenges from larger corpses undetected, and some fruit-plants like berry bushes. I also came up with an ability I call 'Thievery' which will allow velo to run by and grab pieces off the ground and small chunks of meat off bodies quickly without having the need to stop.
i think the devs should make it so creatures that cannot survive well in the mainland (like magy, pachy etc) have the stamina to swim to the island, deinos should bare the risk of dying of thirst before making it to the island but still have it be possible
protos should have a carnivorous rival on the beaches that can also drink salt water and at the same time be unable to make it to the island so they remain on the shores
@@goldfishmentalityAlso I didn’t ever see Deinocheirus. I would like to know where you’d put it. Me personally I’d put it in S or A considering its design and play style seems very realistic but also very fun.
Nice video! I share a lot of opinions y’all have on each dino, with some exceptions. For examples I think poisonous magy can work and all ceratopsians deserve to stay. Might make my own series talking about this eventually
why is everything about the isle so... 50/50? like i fukin LOVE the alberto yall despise it edit: I HEARD THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT HATE AUSTRO. WHO THE FU-
Just curious, what do you like about it? I just prefer the old design a lot more, but I think if I only ever had the new one, I wouldn't dislike it too much.
@@goldfishmentality sry for not getting back to you uh the alberto. looks like a MONSTER and im PRETTY SURE that dondi said that the thing alberto would do was have a heavy atack or something. just love how MEATY and frikin HORRIFYING it is like. did u see the alberto in the new stego consept?! bro was NOT backin down he was SET on killin that stego he had NOTHING to lose. love it for that. rotweiler vibes ignor the misspelings. im not gonna fix them 🤞
We should have gotten bajadasaurus instead of magyarosaurus. I feel like the devs just googled “smallest sauropod” and picked the first result, which is magyarosaurus. The spinosaurus design feels like they took away its most unique trait, being an apex subaquatic theropod. It doesn’t look aquatic at all, it just looks like another generic land theropod, I think tapwing’s other spino design looks better, it still looks intimidating but it also looks subaquatic, the one we are getting just looks like JP spino on steroids
@@frostbitetheannunakiiceind6574 Amargasaurus is good too, the main reason i brought up only Baja is because tapwing has made art of it. Tapwing has also made art for shunosaurus, another sauropod that would have been superior to magy
I'm a lot more apathetic to The Isle's (and frankly most dinosaur media) creature designs now. Most of them are ok, with maybe one or two things I like/dislike about them (Anky is a good example; the feet are weird and the tail is too flexible, but other than that, it's a unique take on Ankylosaurus). I do like the more outlandish designs like Austro and Ovi though.
Hypsi A?😂😂😂 Come on man😅 i enjoyed the video very much although i didn't agree for the most part 😝 P.S i totally agree with spino! design wise prob one of the best and gameplay should be rly enjoyable
I feel as if they should instead add that suggestion with the locking jaws to the rugops, I just feel like it fits the design of rugops and adds more of a reasoning for the things existance.
Personally not a big fan of Chunky Acro, I like my acros to be a bit more sleek and more of a quick assault Dino as it was hunting sauropods and will never be able to beat them on pure strength or weight
I think you can't really do Rex any better than The Isle does, since the animal is basically pure physical strength in terms of gameplay and the devs kinda went all out with it's abilities, even if it turns out to be a balance nightmare it's undeniable that it's just a cool playable.
Nice video , i agree with prety much all of them . But you forgot some dinosaurs that are confirmes to be in the game like Deinocheirus , Monolophosauris and some others 😁
You know damn well why some of us don't like the Isle Spino redesign lmao. It caters specifically to one camp, which isn't a bad thing, but you do know why some people dislike it.
I mean, sure, but I prefer the more realistic one too. Doesn't mean a stylization can't be cool as well. There's a lot of people who care a lil too much about spino realism
I like the Spinosaurus, but the design is too much of a crocodile, it has crocodile skin, a crocodile tail, and the head is a crocodile's but thin. It's less of a Sinosaurus than the one from JP3. It kinda looks like a pseudo-Hypotonic. But honestly, this wouldn't be as much of a problem if Deinosuchus wasn't already in the game, we already have two apex semi-aquatics, they don't BOTH need to be crocodiles.

Guh, Long Video. I'll edit this when I watch through it, I'll be ranking my own opinion- heres hoping you don't mind! (These are purely more design then playable, since I don't play the isle much anymore) Acro - B TIer Alberto - Low C Tier Allosaurus - S Tier Anylosaurus - C Tier Apatosaurus - Low B Tier Austro - A Tier Avaceratops - C Tier Baryonyx - S Tier Beipi - A Tier Brachi - C Tier Carno - A Tier Cerato - S Tier Deinosuchus - S Tier Diablo - A Tier Dilophosaurus - A Tier Dryosaurus - B Tier Gallimimus - A Tier Gigantosaurus - B Tier Herrerasaurus - S Tier Hypsi - A Tier Quetz - A Tier Kentro - A Tier Magy - F Tier Maisaura - A Tier Megalania - C Tier Minmi - B Tier Oviraptor - A Tier Pachy - A Tier Parasaurolophus - S Tier Protoceratops - A Tier Taco - A Tier Pteranodon - B Tier Tyrannosaurus - A Tier Rugops - B Tier Shantungosaurus - S Tier Spinosaurus - F Tier, absolutely bottom of F Tier. This is the design I will trash on to the end of the earth, because its really trying to be too "cool" and "Edgy". I am someone who personally prefers a accurate spinosaurus design more then anything, rather then the edgy 2001 looking designs Stegosaurus - B Tier Tenontosaurus - S Tier Suchomimus - S Tier Therizinosaurus - B Tier Triceratops - A Tier Troodon - F Tier, little rat lol. Utahraptor/"Omni"raptor - B Tier Velociraptor - C Tier, maybe even F Tier
Is it just me but the Rugops design looks nothing like a Abelosaurid, its head is very oversized and it generally looks out of place on the body. The design Dondi said the were going to base the isles Rugops on looks nothing like the design they went with either. Man i just feel dissapointed ive been wanting a smaller abelisaurid in the game for years and when they decide to add one the make it look like something completely different than it should look.
@@goldfishmentality I honestly wouldnt say it is. Looking at the Abelisaurid designs of the Prehistoric Planet docu series you can easily recognize that both the Majungasaurus and Rajasaurus that appear are Abelisaurids. The Isles rugops head looks like a downsized Giga from legacy. The head is just too big for its body.
I feel like at times you guys forget that your ranking the *design* and not how the creature plays in-game cause like halfway through the vid u stop ranking them based on design and more based on viability lol
You immediately lost all validity in my eyes when you said that Deino isn't an apex, you all let your biases get in the way way too much in your judgment of these dinosaurs maybe just stick to playing it because your opinions suck... Just an FYI just because you too yes boys don't like sauropods doesn't mean other people don't
If people's opinions intimidate you that much, please never go outside. Also at no point did I say deino is not an apex. It very much is. In fact that's exactly what our problem with it is
