Are you kidding me? The jurassic world alive combat was the one good thing bout that game and you said it was lame... The raptor does not approve of the minmi.
I think Bob did a really good job with the first ever snake added in a dinosaur survival game and I hope they can continue adding stuff that can push the game further great video btw ❤
Fun fact about Paraworld, I enjoyed that too as a child. When I was studying Game Design one of my professors actually worked on that game and he was like „What, you *liked* that?“ since it apparently was kind of a flop and not very popular
For beasts of bermuda, I just want to say that in my opinion, it does have the potential to be great. Yes the dev team for BoB is pretty small and that definitely hinders BoB’s growth overall, but over time, dedicated and talented players and members of the BoB community could theoretically find their way into the dev team, expanding the team as well as the resources that the team has access to. Not to mention that more people means less time to wait for content. We waited a considerable amount of time to get paleo, the snake, in a separate branch of BoB. But with more people, the devs can expand their horizons further. This is just a theory and if this doesn’t happen, I reckon that it will still be a very good game at best.
although I havent played POT or BOB (and dont really intend to play POT, BOB seems really fun though) Id still rank the isle legacy and evrima as my favorite dino game period. Its a game Ive stuck around since its infancy and personally it always scratched that itch of playing as a dinosaur that ive had since I was a lil kid. Evrima has had a ROUGH history but currently with Dibbles HT its in the best state its been in years and I couldn't be happier. The Isle while very flawed will always stand at the top of the list imho. This was kinda long and dumb but I felt like I needed to write this out since dino media is something im quite passionate about :). Lovely vid btw!
A good reason to play Saurian is to keep it alive. Their studio went close to bankrupt because one of their ex-dev stole the money and ran away. Today, the game is slowly developed by a small group of volunteers when they have time from their other jobs (because of this, for example, the playable Tyrannosaurus is already two years late from the original deadline). I suggested they hold a fundraiser and collect donations to revive the game, but the current volunteer devs of the game said they don't want to beg for money.
Pretty good list only thing I’d change is either moving Jwe2 up or moving PK down. In its current state, PK’s ai is still pretty bland and doesn’t really interact with anything/anyone the most they do is an idle animation while the ai in JWE can fight, breakout and interact with each other. I do think that over time PK will be way better than the JWE games and maybe even jwe3 when it comes out but currently I feel that JWE2 is better.
Although I want to see prior extinction in there. There is like nobody who cares about roblox dinosaur games so it is ok. Btw Iove that ur mascot got a nice animation.
Putting Evrima in mediocre is crazy. About a year ago maybe I would agree with that, but it really just seems like you rated it that low at this point because the cool thing is to hate on The Isle. Ridiculous imo
It's just crazy how this community will never be satisfied. They've picked up the pace, are adding new content at a much quicker pace and are even innovating with mechanics not seen in other titles in the genre. Like sparring and grapple. A new map, 7 playables, mutations, and 2 new incredibly unique systems all in the last 365 days. Give them their fucking flowers.
I'm not saying everything is all perfect with the game, but this community almost refuses to give credit where it's due... and at this point they deserve some credit for the changes they've made in the last year of development. The game is coming into a very good spot I feel, and not enough people are talking about it
To be entirely fair, I did say it has the most potential of any game. I want it to succeed. Hell, my entire channel is about what the isle can and will be in the future. I really love the game and I'm sorry if I gave the impression that I'm hating on it to be cool. I think it's annoying as well, and I quite enjoy the game. I jus think it's in quite a bad state right now with hacking, performance issues, and balancing
@@goldfishmentality Performance has actually been much improved in my experience on the majority of the builds during this Horde Test. If they get that pesky fatal error under control. I think even performance wise we're on the up
@goldfishmentality It just seems to me like a lot of The Isle's community has had previous bad experiences with the dev team and refuses to believe that views on things can change. I remember the community asking for higher player count servers for a long time and the answer was always "never" but this horde test we've tested up to 200 players on a server. I just feel like the development team has grown in some ways and made a lot of steps in the right direction that have seriously made me hyped for where this game is going. It's looking bright, and all I hear is doom and gloom on RU-vid. Sorry if I came off a little strong at you in particular, but it gets under my skin hearing the way this community talks about the game sometimes
Dondi and crew dropped the ball simple as. There’s a reason the isle is being left behind for better games like Path. The Devs are just better. Path still has sleazy stuff going on with the devs and communication too but if you can’t see the issues with the isle you’re blind.
@@user-mp9kx6dx7c horrid performance even on high end computers, developers who belittle their community, map holes that you can easily get stuck in and die a slow and painful death and lose hours of growth, breakneck combat that rewards split second decisions over thinking your tactics through carefully (which is exasperated by the previous performance issues) completely shunning the modding community, not allowing server owners to adjust stats, banning any critical non group think in the discord, trying to cover up pedophiles, no “unstuck” feature to at least help fix the issues with the holes in the map, the severe issues with hackers and Chinese bots, lots of issues are derived from performance itself as in combat you can die from something that shouldn’t have even hit you, AI pigs can shoot you from across the field with their built in 50 cal sniper rifles, the the immense balancing bias towards carnivores, hidden rocks that are placed near hard to see cliffs to intentionally launch you to your death, hidden rocks that punish you for daring to run through the forest, hidden ledges that will kill you if you didn’t already know they were there, no in game map to help new players learn, no tutorial to help new players learn, several sections of the map having visible holes in the water on the release of gateway and still today.
I have not played any of these games unfortunately but I have been watching some of these games for years and the best looking ones to me are the isle legacy, primal carnage, jurassic park operation genisis, and maybe even jurassic park builder which looks cooler to me then the other mobile park builders.
imo i'd put bob and the isle on good and pot mediocre. i've tried getting into pot a couple times and have several hours on it and idk why i just find it really boring compared to the isle and bob, i also find the map is basically barren and empty bc nearly 99% of the server is at a specific spot at crater. bob and isle also have those problems but i feel like it's the worst in pot which makes it super boring because the map is basically deserted, with the isle and bob there's more incentives for players to actually travel around more frequently so the entire server isn't centralled in just one single location in a huge map. there was a time i spent 2+ hours playing pot walking around in a full server and in that entire time i encountered only 2 other players. this is just my opinion, i don't hate pot and i'm glad other people can enjoy the game
I would like to see a take on the dinosaur survival genre done in 2d. Don't even bother trying to make it realistic. Something along the lines of one hour one life but dinosaur survival mechanics. Stick figure dinos with achievements that can unlock hats and stuff. Just a silly game for fun.
Bro there's like, way more dinosaur games than that :V Prehistoric Kingdom is kinda sad to me. It has a more sensible, and mostly less broken, version of Planet Zoos building system and UI, but that style of UI is still so ass that it ends up being a nuisance.
@@goldfishmentality I will admit its a little lacking at the moment but with a steam release eventually, it has a lot of potential, what i really wanted your opinoin on was the wellbeing system, if you remember it.
@@ADinoNerdXD the game as it is will flop so hard on steam. P2W grind games don't work well outside roblox. Also the highlight of any dino survival game, combat, sucks in P.E. The active frames of attacks are instant so you physically can't dodge attacks. That + clunky movement + short attack cooldowns + janky hitboxes + server lag = some of the shittiest combat imaginable. That's also ignoring the rest of the games flaws like a tiny map, a terribly bloated roster, clueless developers, and half the roster themselves not even having abilities of any kind. The game needs a total recode.
tbh just for the nostalgia and GREAT soundtrack ark is a great game to me and also i never liked the uncanny valley, non accurate, shrink wrapped dinosaurs of jw (movies and games) and i grew hating them even as time passed by (i think im one of the only person that hates jw and certain isle dinos)
@goldfishmentality I can see your point, but, I'm pretty sure that the highest pricing dlc is the Byosin dlc at like €45. Also, the creature dlc's are only like 6 to 8 euro.
Jurassic world alive is absolutely pay to win. It releases new op hybrids almost on a monthly basis to change the meta and keep people in a cycle of buying the newest op hybrids just to end up nerfing them later on and repeating the process.
in my opinion, jwe2 is too high. i bought it, thinking that you'd get new species with regular updates - just like JWE. But as we know, lol, thats not the case at all. As far as i know, every damn new dinosaur is only available by purchasing a dlc, not even the JWIII giganotosaurus is free. This is just really scummy, considering the base game costs 60 whole euros, which it is not worth it at all.
Evrima is alight once you get the hang of it but that learning curve is really off-putting to a lot of people. They really need an in game manual or something that gives you a rundown of all the mechanics and abilities. Have an explanation for each playable and all the systems. It takes forever to get the hang of ptera because of how weird it is and I feel like it's basically required to get another player to explain it to you.
I like to think the pot devs want a dino survival, but less stressful, boring and repetitive like the isle, hence why we have quests and complex combat and stuff like that
