Ranking Every Episode of Thomas and Friends (Series 2) 

It's nice to know that there's people who are nostalgic about the original show like I am to be honest 🙂 It's a shame I only found this clip today during work, but I enjoyed here your personal opinion on Series 2 of Thomas and Friends, but oh well. Keep up the amazing work! I think personally my personal rankings (which are mostly off of my own memories of the show) would probably roughly be like this: A Close Shave. Break Van. Ghost Train. Percy's Predicament. The Diseasel (Even today it still makes me laugh). Percy Takes The Plunge. Percy and Harold and Bertie's Chase. Edward's Exploit (Personally I do see what you mean by the episode being let down by the production and it should have been in a later season, but I still love it regardless of that fault. It might be because I saw this before the book itself to be fair, but I can respect your opinion). Old Iron. Thomas Comes To Breakfast. Duck Takes Charge. Wrong Road. Thomas, Percy, and the Coal. Dirty Works. The Deputation. Saved From Scrap. Pop Goes The Diesel. Cows. Percy and the Signal. Daisy (Personally I preferred Season 3's Bullseye more than this episode, but it's not a bad episode admittedly). Woolly Bear (Admittedly I loved it more as a kid, same with The Runaway, and how Percy ends up looking is still funny). The Runaway. Thomas and Trevor. Thomas and the Missing Christmas Tree. Better Late Than Never (I'm not sure why I like Thomas and Trevor more than this episode, but I always felt a bit of a disconnect to the episode for some reason that I've never quite figured out).

Finally, someone else who's creeped out by Trevor's liking of children! Also, I just thought Percy and Toby smiled because they knew it was Harold the Helicopter landing in 'Thomas and the Missing Christmas Tree'. Only Thomas knew who Harold was out of the other engine's at that point so it made sense in my head 🤣 And, as a Scotsman myself, Ringo's Scottish accent is so bad but because it has so much energy and enthusiasm, i just can't dislike it 🤣🤣 Again, very well done on the rankings and i look forward to your next videos ☺️🚂🚃

This was fire 🔥🔥🔥 Also glad to see someone who holds Old Iron higher as an episode than Edward's Exploit. Both are great don't get me wrong, and Exploit is definitely the better story, though Old Iron just adapts better to the screen given what they could do with models when both episodes were made. Now do it again.

While everyone rates series 2 as the best for me I would agree when I was younger. Yes the stories are more ambitious in that Awdry had gained more experience by this stage of the rws. But Series 1 will always be the best due to its simplicity.

Percy Takes the Plunge is definitely one of my favorites too! It's actually very nostalgic for me, but even then I definitely have to agree with the set design and the excellent score. And Percy centric episodes are almost always a win in my book. And in general, I love the grimey, industrial vibe season 2 has. Really makes the world of Thomas & Friends feel more immersive and that these colorful little trains work really hard every day like real ones do. It really puts this season up there in my top three, amongst the true greats.

Series 2 is my favorite of Thomas the Tank Engine. 10 reasons why this Season is my favorite. 1. The Characters that were introduced 2. Some of the stories this season were memorable 3. It felt relatable as I saw Thomas in myself 4. Responsible for my dreams growing up 5. The sets were memorable 6. Brought me comfort whenever I watched one of the episodes on Shining Time Station or Home Video 7. The Narrations from either Ringo Starr and George Carlin 8. The tone it would set up from what’s yet to come 9. The realism of something the show would never stick to in previous season 10. To conclude I’ll name my 3 favorite episodes from this season (Edward’s Exploit, A Close Shave for Duck and Old Iron)
