I'm endlessly excited you chose Headless Halloween for #1. I was obsessed with this particular book as a "Goosebumps kid". When I finished it I was convinced it was perfect, and I kept it all these years. I am not involved in the Goosebumps fandom community at all online, but I feel pretty satisfied someone agrees with me!
Great ranking man. Some controversial takes in here to be sure, but I can respect Headless Halloween being #1. I agree with Be Afraid being at the bottom, although Earth Geeks is kinda tied with that one for me and I know you like it 😆 My top 5 list is pretty firm and I don't see it changing: 1. Headless Halloween was the first Goosebumps 2000 book I have read and I absolutely LOVE it! it's at the top of my list and I'm so happy it's number 1 on yours too!! it's such a fun ride!!

Return to Ghost Camp (Taking aside the title issues, it's undercooked but passably decent) (Also the TV show was over when this came out) Invasion Of the Body Squeezers Part 1 Headless Halloween (I think you're a bit wack lol, it's fun but rather flawed mostly in some of the pacing and ending, but it's not bad) GOOD: Ghost in the Mirror (subject to change) Invasion Of the Body Squeezers Part 2 Horrors of the Black Ring The Mummy Walks The Adventures of Shrinkman (It counts!) Slappy’s Nightmare (Hard to rank but yeah ending could be better and I like it more intellectually i guess lol) Creature Teacher Brain Juice The Haunted Car Cry of the Cat Are You Terrified Yet? I know mine will change as I go. It's a solid series, you can see the seams showing near the end as Scholastic got bad but it's mostly decent and ambitious
Really enjoyed series 2000 mostly because of the darker tone of the books and was disappointed to find out we where supposed to get more then 25 books. My personal ranking would be 1. The Haunted Car 2. Jekyll and Heidi 3. The Werewolf in the Living room 4. Cry of the Cat 5. Are you terrified Near the bottom for me would be Invasion of the body squeezers mostly because i feel like the covers really overhyped the story (the tim jacobus art is fantastic)

Your #1 certainly belongs at #1 I love that one too. Also very much agree about Graveyard Ghouls, don’t understand why it is so highly regarded. I’d say Full Moon Fever is my least favorite 2000 entry but Be Afraid - Be Very Afraid isn’t far off, maybe #24.
Awesome! I've been waiting on this vid since I first found your channel a few months ago and it's finally here! I had all the original 62 and all 25 Series 2000 books as a kid (also around half of the GYG books as well.) and my mother threw most of them out or took them to Goodwill or something. I managed to find a box with maybe 30 books total between those three series in my parents attic and proceeded to re buy the rest of the original 62 and the rest of the Series 2000 books. I plan on re reading all of them in numerical order. It'll be awhile before I get to the Series 2000 books, but I can't wait to see how my ranking compares to yours once I do! I only remember a few of them, but I know I loved the Slappy books and Return to Horrorland (I'm guessing because they were sequels to beloved OG books). You seem like a cool dude, and your channel pretty much reignited my love for these books as an adult! Thanks for all the vids and I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

Yep, I re-counted this morning and, after the book I’ve reading, there’s only thirteen left hahah. That’s including that unofficial companion book to the TV series. I want to include that, in the coming weeks hahah. Can’t believe it, man! It’s almost finished-up (at least, until new books and shows come out-but I can also work on actually getting to the board games during the summertime or something lol).

That movie, for me, has a very summer feel to it, at times, and I always like watching it during that time of the year, like Jumanji.

Hi there! I had started reading the books again during a back injury I had in 2018, right around early summertime of that year. From then until early this year, it took me practically that entire time, even though I took a month of two off of reading reviewing, every once in a while (especially from 2020 to 2023, due to my wife having to work from home, at the time). Took a long time, but I loved almost every minute of it. Still kind of burnt-out from reading so many of them, though 😂
Dude, I absolutely LOVE that movie! Always have! You’ll never understand how angry I was after seeing No Way Home, and everyone I’ve argued with for years about Garfield being a phenomenal Spiderman trying to tell me he’s always been their favorites, too. Scumbags hahah.

I just want to say this there are 25 series 2000 books so far, I have 17 Series 2000 books and only read 2 of them. I'm buying the series 2000 books because they are hard to find.
