Thanks for watching, dude! I’m so glad to hear these videos are helping people come around to Goosebumps, again-either for the first time or ever, at all!
Honestly I’m shocked that Slappyworld even exists. I think I kept up with goosebumps up till Give Yourself Goosebumps and then it kind of phased out for me. This isn’t to say I stopped liking them but you just get older. But now I kind of want to check out those original series again especially with what came later. Really appreciate the showcase of Slappyworld and hope god bless you today
Thanks for watching, Man! Honestly, every once in a while, you still get a really good one, here and there. It’s Alive! It’s Alive! Is the greatest example of that hahah.
@@michaelgoosebumpsfan9934i got a pack of goosebumps and slappy world books for Christmas and I read one of them and “its alive! It’s alive!” Sneak peak popped up and had my name in it, unfortunately I don’t have that one, but I’ll get it soon.
Great ranking bro - I still have a few of these yet to read but I would say my least favorites and favorites so far are Attack of the Jack - and then Dummy Meets the Mummy/It's Alive It's Alive - respectively. Only one I'm looking forward to and curious about is Friiight Night, even though you didn't like it, it seems to be popular from what I've heard lol. The rest I don't have too high of hopes for haha
Hey, man! Hope you’re doing well! I was just about to start listening to your video from yesterday, now that I’m on break hahah. Thanks for watching. Also: yeah, don’t go by my opinion-it seems like a lot of guys from the Discord group you and I talk to like Friiight Night way more than me lol. I thought it was so dull. I’m surprised to see so much love for it, but it’s interesting. Can’t wait to see you rank them, sometime! Been missing your content, dude!
I completely agree with the bad endings comment, it frustrated me so much 💀 I was so mad when it was a bad ending and then left me wondering “what happened after this?”
Thanks, man! Wasn’t sure if I could get it out today or not, but I’m glad it worked-out! Gonna try and get the next cover ranking out, soon, too-within a few days.
I already did that one, when I finished reading and reviewing them hahah. That may have been early this year. Should be in my playlist for rankings, if you haven’t looked yet. Hope that helps!
I'm still working on the original series and give yourself goosebumps, but when I start making my way forward into the more modern books, this will be my reference video! Thank you!!
Hey, pal, thank you-I appreciate that! And I haven’t started yet, but that will be the next review, God willing hahah. Hoping it’ll be a good one, overall. Heard good things.
SlappyWorld is fairly middling. It's a step up from Most Wanted as there's only a couple weak ones and the best stuff is generally better. But a lot can but in the middle, just standard forgettable stuff with typically bad twists. The Slappy books were weak early on but they get better. This honestly breathes new life into Slappy with giving him new powers, those worked well but the stuff outside of that got to be more in the middle,. Anyway, the ranking. AVERAGE: Slappy Birthday to You! (Mostly dull, nothing really new, especially compared to other Slappy books in this series. Being like the standard ones wasn't a good thing lol) The Ghost of Slappy (Ending is insulting, the rest has its moments but just wastes a good setup) DECENT: Haunting with the Stars Night of the Squawker I Am Slappy’s Evil Twin (More fresh in concept than in practice but still fun enough) Attack of the Jack (I think it's fun and the kids actually get along which is nice) Revenge of the Invisible Boy They Call me the Night Howler! Fifth Grade Zombies GOOD: Monster Blood is Back (Nice to have another not terrible MB book) Escape From Shudder Mansion Judy and the Beast Slappy in Dreamland Slappy, Beware Friight Night The Dummy Meets the Mummy! Diary of a Dummy My Friend Slappy It’s Alive! It’s Alive! Please Do Not Feed the Weirdo (Ending sucks but the rest is quite good, barley gets above Alive due to the parents) There ya a lot of eh but some gems to be found here and there. Hope House of Shivers keeps it up and has more good in it.
You mean the original 62, from the 90s? The original series? Just wanted to be sure hahah Because I’ve ranked all 62 originals in case you’re interested!
I feel like when Stine is done with house of shivers, he should go back to the OG series and expand that series, that would be crazy!!! But he should do night of the living dummy IV
Hey Michael I have a question since I’m starting to collect goosebumps books again. So I want to collect all the anthology series like the originals and series 2000s. But I also heard that slappy world is mostly about slappy and honestly not a big fan of that one character or setting type series. I was wondering since you know all the series. Which ones should I collect?
Hey, man, first off, your best bet might be eBay and Thriftbooks-you can spot whats called a “book lot” on eBay, and it’ll be a bunch of them in one bundle. That’s your best bet, more than likely. Thriftbooks is extremely underrated, when it comes to hunting them down, especially for the original and Series 2000. Are you into more of the scarier books or the funnier ones? Or have you tried both, yet?
@@GiuseppeDeRosa2001 What exactly do you mean by anthology? Do you mean where each book is self-contained, like in the original series run, or do you mean more of the short story collections? Hahah
@@michaelgoosebumpsfan9934 well you know how slappy world is mostly slappy focused. While the originals is mostly focused on just different stories. I guess I’m trying to find out which of the goosebumps series is more like the originals instead of like slappy world.
One of my favorite endings is when the heroine suspects that her sisters are possessed by Slappy, but it turns out that she herself is possessed. It's a pity that such an interesting ending was changed to make it boring in the TV series version.
I still personally need to finish the rest of the SlappyWorld books, but I think it's going to be pretty difficult to find one worse than Please Do Not Feed the Weirdo, the main antagonist of that book was UNBELIEVABLY annoying
I found most of the Slappyworld books mediocre so far and I only read 6, only book that stands out to me is Slappy, Beware but it doesn't mean I find from what I read that they're bad but we can definetly agree that the worst is Attack of the Jack. lols
Haunting with the Stars? You know Stine I get the whole ghost writers thing ok, but you didn’t need to let them go the whole hog and actually choose their own titles! 🤨🤣
