This GSSR I was basically just collecting and hoping if I got a dupe it was something good, Reines' banner was way too risky, so I went Red Knights 2, and got Scathách, who I'd been fiending for for years. Bad banners but a good GSSR result this year anyways.
I attempted to get Voyager as a gssr because I'm a fan of The Little Prince and he eluded me despite the ~500 sq I had saved for him back in the day. I got Sherlock... Which also suits me since he had refused to come to my Chaldea despite the 400+ sq I had saved for him. My conclusion: saving sq is useless when RNGesus decided to f**k you and money attracts happiness. Or something like that.
Saber Shiki 's third skill recently got a buff in JP. The way it works now is that Shiki gets 30% NP battery and it heals her, but it lowers one her teammates' NP gauge by 10%
She's still pretty scuffy even with that upgrade. She's nice to have around for EQs but I'm also coming from having her NP3. One hit Arts NPs don't give the meter you would need for farming teams so you're going with a battery feed to keep getting her to another.
@@Starsoulklr Depends how you look at it. I don't have problems with refund at NP1 as long as I'm plugging, which while I get is anathema for some arts enthusiasts, it's kind of a dead topic anyway since you can't clear 90++s without plugging on any card type for the most part. So for farming she works almost like a pseudo arts/buster servants and hits pretty damn hard for an arts servant. That said, yes her best use is CQs and that new battery also has a targetable heal and is on a 4 turn cooldown, both which fit very well with Castoria/Tammy/Shiki teams which let her spam her S3. Mind you, I'd make her work just because she is Shiki, but while that buff didn't bring her up to like the Ibuki/Artoria/Altera/Okita Alter Summer/Muramasa tier, it did get her in a more comfortable second tier IMO as opposed to hanging out toward the bottom of the AoE ranks with Arthur.
I rolled Red Cavalry 2 and was lucky to get my first Double GSSR getting Shuten Douji and Maid Alter, Sure I might already have options that I can use in their roles but well I didn't have either of them and was happy to get both of them to the Servant Dex so I was stoked. Also Maid Alter's Final Ascension and Shuten Douji's Voice is just fantastic as well. Hopefully everyone got something good or does so if they roll the GSSR.
Went for White Extra. Ended up getting Qin Shi Huang, who was the last LB King I was missing. They even brought along an extra K Scope and a Lobo to make him NP5, so good shit overall.
Went for the same banner as well since it had most stuff that I wanted (Sherlock, Amakusa, Douman). Got Sherlock so I got a nice invul pierce/crit support who throw hands at times.
You are absolutely right about Kiara Summer, which is why I rolled for her... And got her, now she is NP2, and hopefully will get another copy this year.
I went for Red Extra 2 to get Nobunaga. She’s a decent attacker even if she’s quite niche and she becomes a lot better with her new buff which arrives this November.
I went for Red Extra 2 because it had the highest chance of giving me something new (even if the particular "somethings" weren't quite aligned with my tastes (Gogh, and both Kiaras)) and of course I ended up getting Bunny King from NP2 to NP3. Needless to say I was disappointed but not surprised
Went for Red Extra 1. I counted up how many waifus and husbandos I'd be happy to get per banner, and it ended up being the safest one. Really wanted Summer BB so I could dress her up in pretty clothes, but I'll settle for an NP2 Spishtar.
Normally, when I pull on a GSSR, I always, ALWAYS pull with the consideration of "Would I be happy if I got the worst option on this banner?" For me, this would make the worst banner Red Extra 1, as my least wanted Servant across every single GSSR banner was Summer Abigail. Unfortunately, I fell victim to the siren song of Spishtar/Summer BB/Kingprotea/Yang/Melt and decided to risk it. And since I prefaced that last sentence with "unfortunately", you can probably guess how that turned out.
I went for White Cavalry. Figured getting a copy of Juna, Gramps, or Merlin was worth the risk. And hoped I'd get Kintoki if not them. Got Gramps, now at a shiny NP2! Hope your rolls go well Fino, and yours Internet!
I'm kind of surprised. White Extra was my immediate go-to cause there were no bad options imo (but I also love Voyager because he is a precious son and have gotten good use out of Amakusa's NP) and a lot of other friends I know rolled on it too. I was really hoping for Holmesbando but Qin Shi Huang wasn't a bad pull since I didn't have him yet anyway.
The S.Orion banner made the most sense for my account since I am missing Arthur and Astolfo Saber. The rest are at np1. I got S.Orion to np2 after pulling the trigger so that semi soothes the burns from my Muramasa rolls.
I went for the only banner I didn't have any dupes on. Guess what I got: Void Shiki. My 2nd option was to try to get NP4 Spishtar, and that would have been better than Shiki. She better get a massive buff in the future.
I decided to roll on Red Extra 2 because when looking at the banner, there was no real way I could lose outside of getting Bunnytoria. Plus it was one of the few GSSRs with Maou Nobu that didn't have Summer BB in the pool. I ended up with Jalter and got a Gorgon on the side so now Ruler fights shouldn't give me issues anymore. Try to guess why i love Ozy Cleo Merlin team soo much. I do have all AOE assassins on NA and Cleo is hands down the best one. Btw when her imperial privilege doesn't proc shes good and when it does shes amazing. If you want more proof, ask ZTL cuz initially he also was a true Cleo hater.
I rolled on the buster centric waifu banner hoping for a new servant because all of them were quite good. Unfortunately no new servant but I do have np3 Eresh now.
This made me super happy i got Ruler Lartoria, not only the character i least liked from the banner but also now i know the worst character of it too. At least i have every ssr ruler now haha
I rolled the White Four Cavalry banner because I love all the servants and I had no chance of not benefitting I either got a new servant I really want,or an extra np level for gramps[which I didn't get,he is still currently at np 3] The result was that I got one of my all time favorite servants..and a servant I've wanted ever since I first started playing FGO MAH BOI ISKANDAR
My previous strategy has been to make a chart, breakdown my best worst and in the middle options for every banner, and roll the one that would give me the highest odds of what I would consider a big w. It's worked out for me okay so far; when I've had bad luck on the GSSR, it's been replaced by good luck on recent or soon after banners, and I always go in knowing my odds. This time though, I have had a string of bad luck pretty recently in a couple of games, so I decided to head my bets, and I picked the one with the least worst options for me. Just no real L's, nothing I would consider a loss. I think the generally agreed upon worse to servants on the banner I rolled on would be Bunny Artoria, but she's someone I don't have and I would consider her interesting and fun enough to play with to where I wouldn't have considered that a loss. I ended up getting my first Hokusai, and I am absolutely okay with this.
always love your videos as for which GSSR i went for was Red Extra 2 since i only had Jalter and Okita Alter i was aiming for Van Gogh or Nobunaga which i did get Nobunaga and was quite happy i know she isnt great but idk i just love the servant alot and probably could get some uses out of her for fun so overall im happy i wish you luck in your GSSR Fino and hopefully i get to see it if work permits it lol
Nobu does have some Vitch compatibility. Her increasing damage buff lends itself perfectly for Buster looping so if you have a Kscope she can work well as a neutral farmer.
Lineup IX/White-Extra was a 50-50 for me. I already have Nagito Komaeda, Benedict Cumberbatch and Lelouch vi Britannia. And then I don't have Horny Clown, Shota Priest and Little Prince. And what a 50-50 it was: I'm still not done or am currently in Section 7 in Heian-kyo, and the Dough Man came home. He must be begging me not to burn him for Rare Prisms and such since I had a really bad time in Shimousa. So yeah, I'll give him a second chance.
Man, I pulled on Red Extra II because I generally liked the servants on there and had none of them, besides Van Gough, and would have been happy to get any new servant. Well, guess who got an NP2 to start off the New Year with 😂?
I had no good banners this time, every banner had someone I already had, multiple servants I already had, or in the case of merlins banner the lows where too low to rationalize the risk, so I went for skadi I needed her and the fgo gods blessed me with her after failing 3 banners. My first gssr who gave me someone I actually wanted in 5years what a feelings
Went for Red Extra 2, and managed to walk away with my second Okita Alter copy. There was a high chance to get a lot of Servants I wanted on this banner, but this was the best case scenario, and I walked away with it. Super happy.
Romulus actually is Vitch compatible. A unit needs a 30% battery on at least a 6 turn cooldown in order to function. Romulus-Qurinus has that. So you can Buster loop with him
Dude, me and my brother rolled at the same time. Since I already had almost everyone on the Castoria Banner besides Kama and Zerksashi, I rolled on my boi Hassan's banner, fishing for NP5 or Merlin. A real for fun GSSR this year, since I wanted everyone on that list. Ended up getting Hijikata, which I already had but oh well. My brother on the other hand? His account was relatively fresh, so he rolled on the Castoria Banner and fucking nailed it! Got Castoria immediately, and got a 4 star with her! (I think it was an assassin but it wasn't Stheno.) Big hype and jump in account power!
Rolled Red Extra 1 during my family's New Years Eve get together. My own fault; I should have known that having onlookers nearby would guarantee the appearance of Summer Abby.
I was tempted by the Red Extra 1 banner, but it had enough misses that I ended up going with White Cavalry instead. Hijikata's at least fun for silly burst setups, and the only real whammy, Iskandar, actually fills a role in my roster since I have no other non-F2P riders besides Reines. Merlin and Gramps are two of my faves and my first two 100 Servants, so an extra level on them is still nice. The real prize was the 1/3 shot to get an extra NP level on Kintoki or Godjuna, which is great since they'll be core to my buster farming down the line. Plus I think Ivan's pretty good, especially post-buff (and also, again, he fits that hole in my roster.) I ended up getting Merlin NP3; pretty middle of the road. But I love the guy and bring him to all kinds of CQs, so I'm more than happy for the extra love to my OG fave.
Since I already have some of the top servants at high NP lvls, I went for the White Knights banner, where I got NP1 Romulus and NP3 Gil, which I'm pretty satisfied with
I rolled on White Cavalry and thankfully got Merlin, but man to think I was so close to getting some servants I would have no use for scares me thank you for the video hope it helps a tone of people make the right choice when rolling
I thought this was going to be reviewing the different GSSRs banners of all time, including the future ones coming to NA. Maybe that'd be a decent video idea? Regardless, I picked White Cavalry. I had to convince myself to be okay with a potential Ivan or Iskandar. Not because they're bad, but because I have enough Riders that cover all my weaknesses. I got Ivan and I'm not mad. I'll try to get some use out of him. And I heard his Valentine's Day scene is sweet so there's that.
Went for White Knights since I did not have a single servant on that banner. I was hoping for Professor Moriarty and just like that, he showed up. Lovely to make your acquaintance James🎩 Truly dapper indeed.
Decided to go the White Extra class banner. I have pretty much all the attackers I need that are out, and the only supports I’m missing are Holmes and Reines and I could not justify the Reines banner. It was either the largest pool or one of the largest pools at 9 servants and had too many duds on it for my account. At least the only real bad get on the White banner was Voyager and sort of Amakusa. Getting dupes on everybody else wouldn’t even be so bad, a third Dantes would be kinda sick. Ended up with a 2nd Douman which isn’t too bad.
I went Red Knights 2, hoping for Musashi or Tamalancer. I ended up with Jeanne Archer and Beni-Enma. Jeanne is probably nice as an option for when I can't just use Melt Lancer to loop sabers... but it's Melt Lancer, so that's actually not a realistic problem. I did roll Tamalancer on her banner this morning though, so swings and roundabouts.
I rolled on the red knights 1 banner hoping for literally anything except Squirtoria. I had Squirt and Okita both already at np2, and would have been fine with anything new (yes, even Void Shiki), or possibly a third Okita for reasons of personal preference. I got a third Squirtoria, and my sixth Nero. Combined with my terrible Muramasa luck and this New Years isn't off to a great start.
I wound up rolling the red extra 2 banner for bunnytoria waifu reasons, and the waifu that has historically chosen me showed up twice. My alter ego Kiara is now NP2, and my moon cancer Kiara is now NP3. A welcome outcome tbh.
Rolled on Red Knights 1 since that was the safest banner for me: outside of Okita & Ishtar dupes (which I wouldn't mind by the way), everyone in that banner is a welcome addition, even Saber Shiki (as a matter of fact, I want her & it's either her or Ibuki). Ended up getting Squirtoria so it's a huge win for me.
Went with the Extra 2 banner since it was one of two banners where I had none of the servants in it but with a wishlist of servants where as long as I didn't get Bunnytoria or Gogh I would be happy
Ended up rolling Red Knights 2 with the hopes of getting Sei (wanted her since she came out last year but she dodged me) but ended up with NP2 on Musashi instead, so at least what I got was pretty solid still
As someone who had great pulls on every other banner but Castoria, I just had to run for her. I have a habit of storing away my main account in favor of being able to run FGO from the beginning again, so I had alts ready for the GSSR, Maid, and Muramasa. First GSSR was Da Vinci and Illya. Not terrible. Ended up ruining the account by forgetting about Spishtar when I went all in on Maid. 2nd GSSR was TERRIBLE. The account managed to pull Muramasa and Maid on just the free tickets from the store but got shafted by Semiramis. 3rd GSSR was amazing because I got Muramasa and Maid the same way as my 2nd GSSR account, and FINALLY managed to pull Castoria. $45, yeah. But that's the only time I spend money, and I've been playing for years, so it's kind of my way to give back.
I picked up Red Knights 1 because the potential to hit Squirturia was solid and I already have Castoria NP3. That and the lows on that banner felt like the least punishing once Koyanskaya comes out and hey I lucked into Ibuki so pretty happy to finally have an AoE Red card saber better than Siegfried.
I went for Red Extra One because I already have Castoria and wanted Space Ishtar. Ended up getting Summer BB but at least that makes me prepared for when Vitch gets released on NA. Luckily I was able to summon Space Ishtar just now from the Saber Wars II Revival banner.
I went with Red Saber 1 in an attempt to get Archeria, but got NP3 Ishtar so some insurance for the future. I really wanted to roll Red Extra 1 to try for Himiko or NP4 normal Abi, or to power up my AEs or Spishtar. But the sole reason I didn't try for it was because of the fear of hitting NP6 Summer Abi. The risk of an NP6+ of anyone is reason alone to avoid a GSSR banner imo.
went with the red extra 2 banner and got Van Gogh so i'm pretty happy, considered rolling the other extra banner with summer BB but the double abby just made it too risky, I already have 1 abby so another would just be sad... plus I have np4 Melt so I don't really feel desperate for more of her (got 3 of her when trying to get at least 2 of her sister Lip and the 4th on my second gssr...It feels like shes stalking me sometimes especially considering how well my rolls for her lancer self went, something like 3 of her in 5 rolls)
Went with Red Extra 1. Recently my NP1 Summer Musashi was losing potency and I needed a decent fill for that role. Also needed a fill for Ruler, Avenger, Moon Cancer, and Foreigner. The only break would then be either of the Abby’s or King Protea (I have Kiara AA NP1 and Melt NP1). Ended up going even and got a NP2 Melt plus my first Necromancy so pretty okay.
Rolled on the Merlin banner, which was the only banner without a duplicate servant, ended up getting hijikata, which I won’t complain about because he is both my first SSR berserker and a good single target beatstick that my account needed, which the game made up for by giving me NP5 muramasa in under 400 quartz
Rolls Red Cavalry One: Pulls Semiramis The Copium: Well it isn’t Kama but I somehow had literally no Assassins before now (and I just got to LB 5.5, riders suck I guess). So at least now I have an assassin, even if it is… you know.
Went with White Extra myself, 'cause I didn't mind the chance of getting dups with QSH, and I didn't have any of the other Servants on the banner and love collecting Extra Class Servants in general. Got Dantes, which isn't the best man to have a NP1, but between his NP Buff and having future Triple Skadi Support he's _more_ than sufficient for casual to semi-serious farming.
Went to Red Knights 2 since it had more servants that I didn't have on it than any other banner. Was able to get a new unit, so I'm pretty much happy with my pull.
I mean lol 'gilgamesh as a future target for buffs' came true already! (but it's kind of a whatever buff, just gives his charisma a small extra conditional and stars, i wouldnt change his rating on here) also I've played since launch and have weird specific things I want, so I actually went Knights 1 which had a decent amount of servants I hadn't gotten yet and only two I'd already had. the person who tanked the rating in your book, void shiki? she's actually the one I most wanted off of it. (i just got Bryn however, who was sort of a dud especially when I already have a ton of high damage Lancer options)
After burning the 250 SQ and 18 tickets I managed to save since November to try and get Muramasa that ended in utter failure, I did the Red Cavalry 3 GSSR and got Castoria on the first roll. Thankfully, the first day of 2023 didn't end in disappointment for me.
i didnt really have anyone I wanted for gameplay reasons since most of the limited 5 stars that I wanted function better with higher np levels, so I just went with the white cavalry banner in hopes of getting gramps or merlin, and somehow got gramps AND kintoki so yeah great banner for me
With Squirtoria, Ishtar, Okita, and Ibuki, red knight 1 was mostly going to be a winner for me. Rolled and got Eresh. Ok, she's NP2 now but was really going for a new servant or another Ibuki copy. Eresh or Shiki were the bottom of what I wanted here. Should have known a Rinface would come since I rolled immediately after getting Muramasa.
I rolled on Three Knights (White) because I had none of those guys and really wanted them all. Then only one on my personal lower end was Romulus, and it just so happened Gil and Sigurd, both in my top 5 on the banner, came home! Super happy with my results!
I rolled red extra 2 (and I regret it lmao). After buying SQ I realized I had most of the servants I wanted from every banner so I just went red extra 2 for Kiara cuz I like her, but in hindsight red extra 1 had: A.- cuter servants (both Abby's, Hao hao, Murasaki) B.- extra NP lvls for Ishtar C.- Melt (mine is grailed and fou'd but only NP1) D.- BB (didn't want more NP lvls, but she's pretty so I wouldn't mind) Ended up getting Jalter, which is ok but already had one and I don't even use her lol Good luck to anyone rolling, and pls, spend money and roll wisely
My new year GSSR banner keeps giving dude i literally have rolled 2 of them every single 1, this time i got Himiko (1st copy so thats great) and Space Ishtar (2nd copy amazing), rolled this banner because it literally had the least amount of dupe hits for me, wanted anything except normal Abi (because i alredy had her) and prefered something new or another Isthar... So yeah... my luck is indeed something else now watch fail to get Taira with 600 SQ its ambivalent like that
I rolled for Cleo (but got Reines instead) so as much as I value your objectivity when it comes to rolling in FGO, everything you said about the Red Cavalry 2 banner hurts. *Smadge*
I tied my fate to someone else's GSSR- I'd be rolling Female Knights 2 if they didn't do the skadi banner, and doing the skadi/maid alter banner if they did as well. (They originally also planned to do muramasa pulls first) Little did I expect the first thing they did was do the GSSR, and on the red cavalry 2 banner no less, so I ended up on the banner I was *very* hesitant to do (Only wanted Maid alter or skadi, since I already have Reines). Card 2 their Bluestacks crashes and I get to card 3 to see Skadi, while they ended up with UmU Caster when they checked their recent acquisitions. Needless to say I was happy as I can finally use all those quick servants in my Chaldea lol. (I know maid Alter is bad but I want her anyways)
The one theme I'd agree with is that there is one really clunky outdated designed Servant in each banner. Servants that could really use upgrades. For which banner I rolled? I debated between rolling on the White Cavalry or Red Extra One. The first one when JP got this GSSR I had no one from so it was an easy choice. Then I had gotten Ivan off the GSSR that year in Summer and after a struggle pulled Merlin home so I had my main Buster and longevity Support. I was actually pretty happy with Ivan he has a good kit for bosses just not the right type of NP with AoE instead of single target. So for why I was thinking about and went with the Red Extra Two instead. I have both Melt and Protea grailed to one hundred maxed gold fous. They also unless the devs pull a fast one on us have zero banners this year. Yeah the Abigail's certainly could not be the best pulls for the banner but I wouldn't have been OK with them. The gamble paid off for getting Melt to NP3 so I have both sitting at that with Lip at the same level and fou stats with her at NP5. Hope whichever you go with for Mistake goes well. Your main account I'm not really sure who you would really need so it's probably OK?
I rolled White Extra because I really wanted that np4 dantes. Despite running the risk of getting np2 holmes, np2 voyagers or even amakusa shirou (I don't like amakusa shirou and I can't quite explain why...). And if I couldn't get him, Douman was the other servant I wanted. Was high-key praying for np4 dantes because I didn't want to raise a 3rd new servant (after getting dioscuri and vritra back to back in two different banners) and I was so happy when I DID get np4! I'm just one copy away from the dream of having np5 dantes :)
I went for red knights 1 (aiming for Ibuki-douji), and got my first double GSSR with Shiki and squirtoria (both np1) so I'm kinda ok with getting both ends of the barrel lol
Rolled for the Castoria banner; ended up with rider Da Vinci and Shikibu. I wanted to roll for Melt, but I already had three of the servants on the banner and didn't want to risk it.
i havent rolled on GSSR as i have castoria on my account already along with waver and im specifically wanting ruler skadi when she comes to NA but if OG skadi comes out i wouldnt mind rolling on her banner because i like quick i just wish it had more supports outside of a very select few not including skadi
I rolled on extra male since I felt like it was the one where if i got anything, i wouldn't be mad. So when I got Voyager that made me happy since he was the only fate/requiem servant i didn't have, plus skadi has a new friend to play with
2nd gssr in a row and I pulled the one servant in the banner I already had, for summer 2022, I pulled kingprotea trying for Arjuna alter, and for this one I pulled my 2nd Doman trying to get mainly voyager, but also wanted shiro, or dantes. 😭
I rolled White Extra I was hopeing for Ashiya or Voyager for some niche team building involving my van gogh but Edmond Dantes as a quick avengers is aight, won't kill my account and him being an old servant means a lot of boosts in reruns and events.
I rolled Red Cav 1, but not for any of the reasons Finno mentions. No, I rolled it because I have a gambling problem... That banner had, for me, the highest highs and lowest lows. The potential outcomes were: Good: -Vinci Rider, would be NP5 -Zerksashi, would be 6th copy meaning she would 120 and all append -MHX, she's cute and I don't have her Still OK, but not great: -Castoria, Np3 on her isnt a huge draw -Kama, NP2 would be a nice damage buff, but I've been spooked by Jack 4 times so im not desperate for it -Semi, she's cute and the last Apoc servant I don't have Bad: -Caster Illiya... Would be my 7TH COPY despite not rolling for a single 1. Memes tricked me into thinking Miyu was good when she dropped on NA. I opened 7 10 rolls going for Miyu and ended up with 6 Illiyas -Murusaki. I just hate her design tbh... So all that said I pulled Illiya and nothing else if value... I now have 2 USOs on my account and both are from the little twerp. Oh well, the rng gods made it up to me on my murumasa rolls and the meme story roll I did

Before this video came out and I knew better, I ended up rolling on Red Cavalry 2 and rolled two 5*s with my EX luck! Which promptly turned to E- ranked luck as said 5*s were Cleo and Shuten. I am suffering. 😭
went for knights 1, cause shiki was the only servant i didn't have, didn't mind an extra ibuki, or archuria for np2, the only one i didn't want to get from that banner was bryn. but true to gacha being a bij, i got bryn.

I rolled on extra 2 for a avenger class due not having one and got Maou Nobu and I was beyond happy to get faults in all and with my nobukatsu grailed to 70 and 10/10/10 skill with the 20/30 ce stars are not a problem.
I went for White Cav, cause I had all the big boy prices from Red Cav 1 and all other banners had at least 1 servant I really, really didn't wanna get or little to no servants who interested me. White Cav on the other hand, the only one I had was Merlin and I liked all the servants there except maybe Mammoth Man, and even then I was neutral to it. I got Hassan, so I'm really happy about it

Ended up getting Dantes who probably adds the least to my account since I already have a super buff voyager that's max grailed and fou'd but his buff is good and i can use him as an alternative to voyager for awhile. was hoping for sherlock or doman though
isn't it a bit too harsh on bunnytoria? she can loop with either 2xkoyan/superscope/atlas or 50%CE/append(lv1)/2xkoyan/plug 50% battery (oberon is not needed) + she can double stack her S3 buff for 80% ATK. I tottally wasn't pulling for bnuuy and got the deviantart reject instead. :^)
I went with Red Cavalry 2. My targets were either MHXA or Maid Alter, because I’m trying to complete my Artoria collection and they’re the last 2 I need. Ended up with NP2 Raikou and NP1 Cleo. Technically a bad result, but it’s still a double GSSR so I prob shouldn’t complain
Rolled Red Calvary 1 and i got Da Vinci Rider I wish i got Castoria to go with my Muramasa, but hey! I was in need for Aoe Riders, so Da Vinci is good, plus, she's cute
