As a massive Jon fan, I loved how you described every song mixed with your personal experience. Definitely jammed to each one (i won't forgive you for not putting Blu on #1 tho, but it's what Hand of God deserves)

Matt Psycho I 100% agree. Not only is it a great song within itself, but the way he ends it with mixing most of the other songs together is just amazing.
Not only do I feel he is the most musically gifted person alive, but as a poet and general feeler of emotions, no one has ever touched me like Jon. One of the many reasons why I loved this video. At first, when Eyes to the Sky wasn’t even in top 20, I was like “maybe this guy’s just never had anxiety before or something,” but then you got to other songs and explained how those were the ones that helped you. It was so cool to hear someone else who Jon has helped through the hardest parts of life but through different songs than me. 10/10 video, thanks for posting on reddit!

@@GHoover When I first discovered Bellion and I only had a few songs on my phone. I listened to AJR at the same time and for about a month, I thought it was AJR whenever this song came on. Pretty cool that you noticed that too!
Personally, Simple and Sweet is probably in my top 10, but for me it the beginning that I enjoy most about it, the notes at the beginning are so soothing to my ears.
I like that his mixtapes got the recognition they deserved here. I think when you consider Jon made them by himself and with his two albums he was working with much better equipment and collaborating with the most elite musicians, the mixtapes really foreshadowed his potential. If I were to rate these though, I would keep the two albums almost exclusively in my top picks with a couple exceptions. Simply because to me they are so much more colorful and vibrant. They include so many different peoples voices and so many talented instrumentalists… they’re also mixed professionally.
fun fact: in crop circles at 13:00, the aggressive vocals come from Mylon Hayde. Mylon Hayde featured in Jon Bellion scattered thoughts vol 1 in the song The Sound of Getting Over You back in 2011 with similar vocals. Banger.

Jon is seriously SO underrated! From the variey of genres/styles in his music, to the imagery in his lyrics, he is incredibly talented. (P.S., he totally should have recorded and released Holy as his own single. Justin really robbed him)
agree 100%, he is a lyrical genius when it comes to his hip hop songs and it feels like most of his songs have incredible emotion and meaning behind them! you can feel the passion he has through his music. also Holy should’ve definitely been his song, but just further proves how talented and humble he is

Amazing video! Always love to see more Jon appreciation. I think it’s so hard to rank his songs, they all hold different purposes to me so I feel like I would need at least 3 number one spots. But my undeniable favorite has always been Guillotine. I can’t describe it it’s just perfection.
funnily enough, i think both of those were the first songs i heard from jon and i used to love them! just lots of overplaying over time and they lost some meaning to me

I was actually surprised that you placed Stupid Deep as number 35, but then I saw the rest and all of them are so good! Some of my favorites are Blu, 80s films, Jim Morrison, New York Soul Pt. I, The Good in Me, and some others. Also, conversations with my wife live is amazing!

personally, I would've put fashion A LOT lower, I dont like how slow it is (ironic since I love iRobot) and it just doesn't sit well w/ me. Crop Circles would def be higher for me, I LOVE how almost sad but not regretful it sounds. JT is amazing as well, love the placement. finally, Jungle is totally beautiful, and it's perfectly placed just before FTD. ur ranking is so accurate, its amazing!

As soon as Couples Retreat made Top 10 above all those others (Adult Swim, Pre-Occupied, 80s Films, etc), I knew we would never see eye to eye haha. iRobot and Couples Retreat are my bottom two. Great video though! A really great resource for those wanting to get into Bellion and not knowing where to start.

I like how you made this video. Jon has so deep lyrics here and there so most critics have hard time actually getting everything out of those songs, but I guess it goes for most artists and critics anyway. Good video!
I saw him at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and I sat in my own seat cause no one would go with me but it was an amazing experience seeing the GSP tour!
I love everyone he works with. He brings it out the best in them too! Also, I just went and saw his writing and I know why I love what I do. He's just so amazingly talented and have nothing but the respect for all the effort and time he has put into this
Just wanted to point out that New York Soul was on the bottom third of this list, and yet the way you described it I would've thought you put this at a top 20 spot at LEAST. Goes to show just how good Jon Bellion's music is haha
As a fan from the first ever album here is my top 16 (its 16 cz i just can not let some good songs not make the list) : Ohh, Hand of god, Guillotine, Overwhelming, Luxury, Croped circles (acustic), Human, Run wild, 80"s films, Jungle, Simple and sweet, iRobot, Stupid deep, He is the same, Run wild, Morning In America. 13:12 That’s the reaction Jon wanted from the fans and why he held off from interviews from glory sound prep. He was trying something new for the album and he wanted us to digest it and let it grow on us so we can further appreciate it before he talks about it. Absolutely loved that
Hand of God has been the song to describe my life and will always be! Jon is a inspiration of mine and hand of God ironically was the song that got me into him when I was a intern at a church struggling with my teenage years, with just the pressures of family, jobs, life, but now I’m 25 and look back still feeling the same way about hand of God it’s perfect!! No matter what point of life I’m in it describes it and draws me closer to what I believe in! It might not be a worship song but it does just that. Now a certified pastor and Jon bellion is 100% a God send

I feel like it depends on your mood of how you’ll like certain songs from Jon. All of his work has so many different layers and meanings that it’s good for any mood, but your mood changes what you get out of it.
The Internet at 38?? Maybe it’s because I saw it live and it was fantastic, but that’s one of my favorite songs on the album. Great video, there should be more Bellion content on RU-vid.
Watched this video and listened to hand of god again after not listening to it for a year or so (I know sue me) and it just hits the spot Rn for me :) great vid
