Ok, jokes a side, blessed list, Meme man. I think I agree with everything you said about character progression, but I would have considered the personality of the characters as well. Still, I can respect anyone who respect Rin as the excelent character she is.
This is soo well organizeeee. I agree with many points and oh my the ranking you have for character that is not a tierlist letter grade thingy. It’s very close to me.
Also, I think Kasumi did have good character development. If you listen to her song, “Margaret” it shows how she thought her cuteness was all that makes her special and that’s why she always wants to be the “number one” or “cutest” idol ykwim?
I'm pretty sure I didn't say anything negative about her or slander her at all, she just doesn't have a lot of plot involvement or development as a character apart from S1E1 which is not opinion-oriented but I'm open to hear why you think otherwise
I see where you came from, but i think you may have overlooked Natsumi a little bit. • She had a fair character development. In her episode it's shown that Natsumi only cares for money because she tried to pursue a lot of dreams when a child, but she had no talent and ended up giving up on them. We saw her struggles, we saw how she reacted to them and how they took part in bulding her personality With Liella she finally became able to dream again and got to see her dream come true in the last episode. • Relationships Something i think LL fans overall doesn't notice is how supportive Natsumi is and her relationship with the other characters. She was the one who pushed Kinako toward joining Liella when Kinako was afraid and she also was the one who cheered up Mei, Shiki and Kinako when they were feeling down in the training. She was important to the development of the first years. That's my perspective, feel free to disagree if you do
Rina honestly was the only one I cared souly (Aside of Setsuna, Shizuku & Yuu), Her episode is the one that carried the others except of course Setsuna's and Shizuku's Edit: Also Ayumu's yandere episodes are gold
I’m an OG fan I love Nico ,Kotori , Maki and Nonzomi but I now play sif2 so I’m looking forwards to loving more characters. This is an AMAZING video so I’m subbing ( I’m also using this video to learn more about each character so thank you so much , you’ve literally made my day )❤
I guess this naturally is pretty biased towards screentime which is usually directly proportional with character development but i am not sure if i agree if thats what makes them necessarily better, i am sure that there are characters who are not that involved but can make up for it while there are characters that are heavily involved yet are unable to have that many fans. just as an example, i own a store i sell anime related merchandise and a lot of it was Love Live stuff, and me and the competition in my city agree that Hanayo and Rin stuff are "impossible to sell" tier of merchandise when it comes to love live, investigated a little bit over the years and these two are not liked that much so when i see her in S tier is just seems crazy to me.
Sceentime and development are definitely related in some way but at times its not. However the popularity of a character has nothing to do with screentime or development. Umi is by far one of the most popular characters especially in Japan yet she doesn't get a dedicated episode and isn't heavily involved in other characters' developments with the exception of Honoka and Kotori. Rin gets a great amount of consistent development throughout the entire anime run and even somewhat into the movie. Even though she's not as popular and hardly gets the same amount of screentime as other characters like Eli and Nozomi, she is still a great character who overcomes her own difficulties and grows in ways that benefit herself and the rest of the cast
@@MemeraiZura I got that part about the development but what i was thinking is that when characters are popular despite not much screentime it has to be for a reason people like them and i think it should count too (in both directions)
I guess that makes sense. For the purpose of this video though I tried to be unbiased and gave them a rank based on anime content though rather than popularity
i think some of these were slightly iffy (like muse being somewhat over-rated in my opinion) but i appreciate the nijigasaki criticism, not because i like people being insulted but because i want to understand why i didn't really like it
Yea Niji is a tough one to talk about because it is quite different and theres definitely a lot of people that love it. I'm glad I'm not the only one that didn't like it as much haha. I can still appreciate it but it definitely didn't hit as hard imo
I made it clear that I wouldn't be covering rival groups, there's not a lot to say about them and apart from saint snow, they would all be ranked pretty low anyways
