Was always my favorite as a dumb little kid lol I adored the super unconventional layout and the way it felt like an adventure rather than a race track. I just loved the aesthetic But my mom and sister always hated it so much and that made me love it more
Honestly I don't care if this is a biased pick for me but it's in my top 10 Mario Kart tracks. I just love the fact that you race on wooded tracks going into a cave that's used for mining gold and have to avoid the carts of solid gold near the end part and with the how the track is laid out really does have that rollercoaster feel (Anti Grav in MK8 really helps that effect as well) and in MK8 I love how when you first enter the gold mine you can hear Shy Guys mining making their funny sound like in Shy Guy Falls. Also since MK Wii was my first game when I was young that track showed me that some tracks had optional routes/shortcuts I always failed at trying to take it due to the fact at the time I sucked at the game and always end up hitting the mine carts so I did time trials just to take that shortcut without worrying on being in 12th place. And with me always doing the time trials on that track it was the first one that I did really well at that wasn't an easy track like Luigi's Circuit or GC Mario's Circuit.
I feel like N64 Bowser’s Castle’s music track sounds more sinister and atmospheric than intense and heart pounding. I actually personally like it myself.
It's funny, I used to hate Warios Goldmine and Moonview Highway as a kid but as I got older I began to appreciate them more. They are both difficult and chaotic courses that get my heart pumping each time I play them. They are definitely A tier courses for me.
Yes I agree. Those two tracks are some of the hardest in their series, which is why I thought and still think that they are amazing tracks, especially Moonview Highway!

20:30 Moonview Highway is definitely A or better, the entire point of this track is to weave in between cars and go fast while taking intense blindsided turns which test your reflexes. Its a really fun challenge. Toad's turnpike on the other hand is complete trash, the cars go 3 meters per century entirely decimating the challenge, there is a wall section allowing you to completely ignore the entire premise, the design is an 8 which is leads to really safe and boring turns and long straightaways and then last it looks bland as hell. In Moonview Highway you get a lot of variety with a cliff side, a golden state type bridge, a tunnel and an excellent transition between a city and a foresty area. Toad's turnpike has no view and has a confined road in between walls.

Daisy Circuit is highly underrated the shortcut in the beginning, the statues (actually showing Luigi and Daisy officially for once), the sunset being the color of Daisy, and the music is top tier imo it’s very catchy probably my favorite circuit track of all time lmao
A cool thing about maple treeway is on the last lap on the area with all the wigglers, there’s a chance one of the leaf piles in there drop a star on the floor, cool thing to use to scare your friends
I feel like 64 bowser's castle is SUPER underappreciated and one of my favorites in the franchise. Sure it may not be as flashy as some of the later ones, like there's no giant robot bowsers that gives you a lava handjob or anything, but it's still a really fun track to race through that's fairly difficult, and most importantly it's subtle. It feels like an actual castle that bowser could live in which gives it an uncanny valley feel, like the staircase with tons of bowser portraits and the thwomp in a jail for no reason, and the soundtrack really adds to that. I feel like putting it in a separate tier at the bottom is really unfair as it's super unique and quite unsettling. I also like it as a final course because, while rainbow roads hype you up as this super over the top finale, this not only feels more unique as it ends with a bowser's castle which, despite being a tradition for a final challenge in the special cup, is always outshined by rainbow road and now it feels just as special for being the finale for the retro courses, but the subtle ominous tones gives it a real threat to overcome for the final course, it's really cool. If they brought back Wii or DD's Bowsers castle for the DLC, it would feel pretty redundant because they all try to be chaotic like 8's, but there's never been another Bowser's castle like the N64 one.

Toad’s factory is one of the most unique tracks The OST combined with the track’s sound effects already make it a top tier track Plus the map feels fast pace too Now I wanna play Toad’s factory again😂

Mushroom Gorges music just sounds like mushrooms. At one point in the song they completely captured the feeling of bouncing on mushrooms while racing. Terraria also nailed the feeling of mushrooms with their song, I guess it’s just a thing.
Gosh Mario Kart Wii had such a tight selection of both new and retro tracks. I definitely think it's my favourite Mario Kart of them all, especially as it introduced by far the best mechanic, tricks.
As the #1 Moonview Highway fan, I can see why you are so mad at the track. I get how you said on the first half of the track that it is super hard, but that is one of a hundred different hard parts in Mario Kart Wii. For example, the rapid drops and minecart section in Wario's Gold Mine, the falling parts in Grumble Volcano, and the entirety of Wii Rainbow Road. Mario Kart Wii is a hard game in general and I think the difficulty is what makes the track fun in the first place. (Everything aside, this is still a great video and some people have their own opinions on different tracks. So keep up the great work and keep posting great videos!)

I like how you put Maple Treeway’s music much higher in the tier list than the music from Bowsers Castle. The music in Bowser’s Castle is just a slower, lower-pitched and more sinister version of the music in Maple Treeway!
Some good options. I agree with your reasons on Wario Gold mine and Grumble Volcano. Personal I love N64 Bowser Castle since that one has an eerie alone feeling in it and has a garden which is something we would never except bowser for have in a castle. I do hope N64 Bowser Castle comes back again in the future.
17:31 I was always partial to Kalimari Desert being the best desert track myself. Even though it's basically just a simple loop with a train going through it, its one of the only desert tracks that isn't based on Egyptian theming and rather is based on an American Monument Valley-esque desert. I guess Sunset Wilds is also like this, but, c'mon, trains are cool!

I think you're wrong. The Mario Circuit full pipe was unique and much better than a halfpipe. You could put a banana on the lip that you do a trick off of, which forces you to go up higher on the pipe for the trick. I think that's fun.

i've never noticed that toad factory loops at the ramp until i was playing it and singing along to a youtube remix and it annoyed me so much that the track looped
Mario kart Wii was once my childhood Mario kart before being replaced by 64, but still is deserving of being great. Luigi circuit - Mid F Moo Moo Meadows - Mid F Mushroom gorge - A - really fun, not the most complicated, and I’m happy it’s back. Toad’s Factory - A - not the most complicated, but I would love to see it come back Mario circuit - Mid F Dk Summit - A - a less complicated version of DKM, but still fun. COCONUT MALL - A - not the most complicated, but YOU JUST GOT COCONUT MALLED!!!!!!!!! Wario’s slavery camp - MID F Daisy Circuit - C - as the 3rd circuit, I feel just like Yoshi circuit it could have been more complicated, but it’s ehh Koopa Cape - A - not the most complicated but still fun Maple Treeway - S - complicated and fun at the same time?!?!!? AMAZING! Grumble Volcane - S - okay okay, I know, I rate tracked based upon how easy/hard lots are, and this track is probably one of the hardest in the entire game, I’d say it rivals even Bowser’s Castle! Dry Dry Ruins - Mid F - sorry, it’s a desert track. Moonview highway - Mid F - Mushroom city did it better, plus traffic only adds annoyance not difficulty. Bowser’s Castle - A - not the most complicated of these creepy castles, but still really solid (especially comparing it to a certain other mid castle 💀) Rainbow Road - S - really complicated, majestic, Mario galaxy themed and extremely difficult.
