Today I wanted to discuss all the regions in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and rank them from worst to best. Based on the aesthetics, exploration & some personal opinion.

Gongaga is for sure my favorite. The sense of exploration I got there is umatched for me. Especially traversing the ancient ruins in there. I also really loved Grasslands, Corel & Junon. Cosmo Canyon was good too.

I think so too. I can't really decide on a favorite region, but when I think of jumping back in for another play, the Gonzaga area keeps coming to my mind first!

Where's the exploration??? All I got was a bunch of requests from Chadley and digging up the arts figure. I fail to see where the exploration in this game is...

When you have to play as cait sith in the mansion...pure torture! I hate that part...aside from that, the game was super fun.

Funny thing about that too is, they give you ass mechanics for that part then throw in a box minigame like we enjoyed that trash 😂

My dumb ass was using the touch pad for a majority of that segment until I realized you didn't have to, but I agree.

I'm 75 hours in and I'm currently at Nibel. Mainly because I'm clearing all the objectives quickly. Some of the monsters are tough. The area is very bleak and depressing.

Interesting. I think I liked Cosmo Canyon the most because it was so different from everything else (and kind of breathtaking at times). Gongaga was at times my favorite and at times incredibly frustrating. Just walking around checking every nook and cranny making sure I didn’t miss any small path, plus the jumping chocobos

Hey David I really appreciate this video. I’m slowly warming up to Gongaga the more I play Btw can you make a list ranking the summons and their power and usefulness in the game. I feel like no one ever makes videos regarding summons and it’s such an interesting topic to explore. Like which ones did you like best, or did you think have the coolest designs, deal the most damage or aid the most in combat? I’d love a video like that from you. Keep it up man 👍🏾

For me personally worst to best is: 1. Meridian Ocean (much to be desired) 2. Cosmo Canyon Area (boring biome) 3. Junon Area (Oceanside junkyard) 4. Nibel Area (chocobo👍, boring👎) 5. Grasslands (👍biome+music+intro) 6. Gongaga (👍biome+music+pretty) 7. Corel Area (👍Div.biome+buggy+fun)

Cant believe Gongaga made it that far up your list. By far the worst region. Cosmo Canyon was a bit tough to traverse, but Gongaga was that on steroids and the Chocobo gimmick was done way worse. And the music was the worst in the game (it's still a good track, but the worst in terms of FF quality)

Gotta disagree with that. That track is one of a lot of people’s favorites in the whole game. And the location is absolutely beautiful. Exploration was definitely annoying tho.

@@DashingDavid That's definitely fair. It's just my opinion. The region was definitely rough. The only saving grace for it was what happens at the reactor. Definitely a crazy chain of events!

Just a thought on the unforgiving desert in the original FFVII - how the hell did anyone visit the Gold Saucer? Just the via sky tram ? lol Even with the more forgiving rebirth version ….theres a parking lot….but did most of the guests drive Buggys there ? lol. Imagine Disney being in the middle of an inhospitable prison hellscape lol

The whole Gongaga makes me smile, because so many criticized the yellow paint for making the exploration too easy, but then give the players a more challenging region and they whine...damn if you do, damn if you don't....

Both can be true tho. The yellow paint doesn’t bother me but it also isn’t necessary. It’s very obvious where you can climb. And the Gongaga region is great but poorly designed. It’s not challenging to hit a mushroom and it throw you somewhere you didn’t expect it to.

The Gears and Gambits mini game side quest literally made me quit the side quests and focus on the main missions. But I will complete it later on. Now I'm playing 16

I see everyone really likes Junon it’s by far my least favorite region. I think it has too many aerial enemies and the chocobo there is the worst one. The main story there is the only part I really enjoy. Don’t get me started on fort condor.

All regions had some annoying confusing quests, mini games. Its modern gaming so im not suprised, my best location was grasslands as it was easier to navigate. Gongaga was “meh” my least favorite
