It's probably my first time when I dislike how RU-vidr balances which videos are behind Patreon wall. Many channels place there bonus content stuff. But show reviews are main thing why most people watching this channel. That's really greedy move from Santi. -1 sub.
hot take - the most boring world championship reign of all time I hate that they broke an important wwe rule ONLY for Reigns Put the Logan Match at 8 is criminal, It belongs in the Top 5, Maybe Top 3 There was defintely a chance of Logan winning and repeating history having someone win a world title in only their 3rd match
The last 2 people in the ring with Roman at 40 were the only 2 people that technically beat him while he had the belt in singles matches. Seth by DQ and Cody ending the reign.
its so crazy everybody involved in that match was responsible for either the rise or fall of roman reigns (not saying roman reigns is a nobody now, but the end of his reign)
If Sami Roman had happened yesterday and Cody Roman last year i might switch them around. Sami Roman was epic. But that’s as far as recency bias goes, it’s one of those two.
Cody Roman 2 is the greatest wrestling match I’ve ever witnessed in terms of story telling, spectacle and, just the definitive aspect of it. It truly felt like the Avengers Endgame of WWE. Ten years of story telling and angles all coming to ahead with Roman never being able to get over that original Shield betrayal and letting revenge consume him and cost him everything.
Poor baby. What storytelling. Cody wanting to win a titke for his daddy and only fighting roman chz he won the rumbke twice? The story is weak.and it needed the rock to add sone spice. Abd the natch was bad since it needed cena taker and the rock to bring hype. So prove to me how this overhyoed match is the best when it has such a weak story
Jey vs Roman II in HIAC I hard disagree on. Match was top 10 of his reign, better then the first. The storytelling was so good, the in ring was good, it was just perfect.
Sorry Santi, some people just can't afford 30 minutes (your videos are great!) 32. vs Daniel Bryan - Elimination Chamber 2021 31. vs Goldberg - Elimination Chamber 2022 30. vs "The Demon" Finn Balor - Extreme Rules 2021 29. vs Brock Lesnar - Crown Jewel 2021 28. vs Brock Lesnar - WrestleMania 38 27. vs Jey Uso - SummerSlam 2023 26. vs Big E - Survivor Series 2021 25. vs Drew McIntyre - Survivor Series 2020 24. vs Kevin Owens - Royal Rumble 2023 23. vs Randy Orton, AJ Styles & LA Knight - Royal Rumble 2024 22. vs LA Knight - Crown Jewel 2023 21. vs Jey Uso - Hell in a Cell 2020 20. vs Kevin Owens - Royal Rumble 2021 19. vs Edge - Money in The Bank 2021 18. vs John Cena - SummerSlam 2021 17. vs Cesaro - WrestleMania Backlash 2021 16. vs Seth Rollins - Royal Rumble 2022 15. vs Kevin Owens - TLC 2020 14. w/The Usos vs RK-Bro & Drew McIntyre - WrestleMania Backlash 2022 13. vs Daniel Bryan - Fastlane 2021 12. w/Solo Sikoa vs Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn - Night of Champions 2023 11. vs Brock Lesnar - SummerSlam 2022 10. vs Edge & Daniel Bryan - WrestleMania 37 9. w/The Bloodline vs The Brawling Brutes, Kevin Owens & Drew McIntyre - Survivor Series 2022 8. vs Logan Paul - Crown Jewel 2022 7. vs Cody Rhodes - WrestleMania 39 6. vs Drew McIntyre - Clash at the Castle 2022 5. w/Solo Sikoa vs The Usos - Money in The Bank 2023 4. w/The Rock vs Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins - WrestleMania 40 (Night 1) 3. vs Jey Uso - Clash of Champions 2020 2. vs Sami Zayn - Elimination Chamber 2023 1. vs Cody Rhodes - WrestleMania 40 (Night 2)
Its crazy to think that the Reigns vs Edge vs Bryan match is lower in this Tribal Chief PLE Match list than in a Wrestlemania Main Event ranking list. Just shows how many classics Roman Reigns had during his run.
Sure we could thank Roman vs brock at day 1 not taking place due to Roman pulled but that means we’d have to partially thank something for else, which I think I can speak for all of us when I say we don’t want to acknowledge that said thing
@@jaybarbieri8619 you do realize cody vs roman was mediocre and needed taker for no reason cena and The rock to be there. Therefore it's a mediocre main event. A good match has no legends hype and interference.
naah Drew vs Roman at Survivor Series 2020 is one of if not the best matches of the entire pandemic area. i understand it didn’t have stakes but id argue the brand vs brand thing wasnt totally dead yet at that point and Romans title reign was new which made it insane when he beat Drew frickin McIntyre and helped establish him like crazy early on in the reign
Seth Rollins was true to his words; he was the one who created Roman Reigns and he was the one who destroyed it. He is the one who ended Roman Reigns tribal chief era
You should also include his SD matches during 2020-21 he was fire on SmackDown eg his Matches against Bryan, rey (HIAC) , Balor , Braun, KO(steel cage)etc
@@khesipresents1885 that’s your opinion. But backstage plan was Roman loses, and then the feud carries on. This long title reign was never meant to happen, and once it got rolling they couldn’t really find a logical end point till Cody got mega over.
I agree the WrestleMania 40 match is the best one because of two reasons. One everything every title match ever bit of character work is the journey and gave the concussion much more strength going in. And two not only did it lead to a must see conclusions but it delivered in epic fashion. The end is supposed to be monumental and that's exactly what it was.
Ehh not really. Ppl have opinions and preferences. That match vs Logan was genuinely good and the fact that our expectations were low just made it better
Bro how did you forget the ppv match where Roman actually won the title?? Payback 2020 - Triple Threat (Strowman vs. Reigns vs. Wyatt) for the Universal Title?
12 - 18 months After Wrestlemania 39 and Clash at the Castle 2022. I still feel that Drew McIntyre should have beaten Roman for the Championship in front of 60,000 people giving Drew his moment that covid robbed him of at Mania 36 and then dropped it to Cody at last year's Mania. But hey, at least he got his moment at Mania this year even if it did last 10 minutes 😂
I'm with you brother, I was devastated when drew lost at clash at the castle but at least they more than made up for it with the unbelievable classics from Roman's reign. I was bawling my eyes out when Cody finally finished his story and I'm ready to bawl again when drew gets his REAL MOMENT in scotland in 2 months.
The problem with Romans reign (HA) is that only a few people could dethrone him. No one thought Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble would win. Goldberg, Randy LA (YEAH) AJ, and sadly the WM 38 match with Brock Lesnar. It it safe to say it was a amazing reign but it could have ended at WM39.
Jimmy actually threw the towel in at clash of champions, the hell in a cell was BRUTAL! It was a strap match, I Quit, HIAC, I think that it was better than the other one but I digress.
I just realized you didn't include the match where Roman became the Universal Champion in the first place. Payback 2020 against The Fiend and Braun Strowman. I don't blame you tho.
Personally, I absolutley loved that Finn Balor match and especially the whole demon king heartbeat ending. I found that so cool. Granted, the rope breaking thing was out of left field but i cant believe that was such an unpopular match for you.
I can’t remember if any of his matches against the Fiend or Braun Strowman were on a PLE but truly without those matches, the reign would have never started
Santi, you missed the match that Roman got the title. When he walked in when The Fiend and Braun Strowman had just collapsed the ring and he signed the contract, walked in and speared both of them and won
This is the greatest run of all time. MAYBE. Austin 98 extremely close - but the absolute classics in this run, how it started, how it developed, how it ended. My first mania was the mega powers exploding (5) and I’ve never seen anything like this run. Legendary.
@@waterwet2305 but Hogan was over and was mainstream star...and I don't remember Andre, Austin, rock giving us great matches in attitude era and golden era

Cody giving the three Cross Rhodes to Roman was a really neat and epic way to cap off the match at Mania 40 Oh and of course Heyman going “no!! no!!” Pure greatness But who am I kidding, the interference from legends were just as great
almost no bad matches just shows you how legendary this run was, and in top of that roman manges to carry the pandemic era what an acomplishment we dont understand how hard that its.
Santi I know you hate how during a match there's so much overbooking but damn his Wrestlemania 40 main event night two Title defence was a damn BANGER! and the interruptions in the match legit added to it this time. Personal opinion that was/is Roman's best Title defence during his reign
I begin watching wrestling again around July 2021, so about a year into Roman’s title run. Roman had some serious bangers! I agree with this list but I swear I’m the only person who likes the Roman Reigns/Jey Uso Summerslam match. But then again.. Roman And Jey’s feud is my favorite Roman feud in general so perhaps I’m biased.
Hey what about the match that basically is the actual start of Roman Reigns's title reign when he won the Universal Championship at Payback in a Triple Threat No Holds Barred Match against Braun Strowman and The Fiend Bray Wyatt
Hi, love your channel, new subscriber. However, there’s a mistake with the Hell In A Cell finish that you mentioned. Jimmy didn’t throw in the towel for Jey. That was at Clash of Champions. At Hell In A Cell, Roman put Jimmy in the guillotine and that’s why Jey quit.
The 32 matches of Roman Reigns title reign were like the whole avengers trigoly of wwe with cody beating the Thanos of wwe roman reigns in the endgame.
i am here as a defender of the Extreme Tules Finn balor vs Roman match finish , i do think it was a good idea birng back a little bit of supernatural spot on wwe , i just think it was not done correctly , if you are going to make a supernatural moment you got to full fit it with a win
That’s what makes the title reign so good. Roman can tell a great story in the ring and the emotions he shows makes it seem not scripted. That is why Roman is great and a legend in his own right.
You know I've heard a lot of people saying recency bias for that match and I only just really thought about it. It's a legitimate thing to bring up. In 2 years will you care about Cody Rhodes? We don't know yet. Sure the finish the story was a pretty good story, but will it stand the test of time. Also in the match there were quite a few things that annoyed me. They didn't try hard enough to make Roman win. He's the head of the table, he's their tribal chief, Paul Heyman acknowledges him... But Paul didn't even try and break up the pinfall after 3 Cross Rhodes? This was a bloodline rules match and... It was just no dq? Why call it bloodline rules if it's just no dq? Just call it no dq... If it's bloodline rules you make the rules, but you didn't do that. When Roman gets pinned say it's a 2 lot of 3 falls match. When roman submits say submissions don't count. Etc. also austin wasn't the one to take out the rock. Sorry but undertaker wasn't the one that had the huge history against the rock. I know it was the best they could do with the news that Austin didn't agree to his compensation, but that doesn't change the fact that it made the match less cool. I'm gonna come back to the match in about 2 or so years and see what I think then. Time changes people, I remember disliking a lot of Cena matches at the time, in preparation for mania I watched a few old manias including some where at the time I disliked Cena and his matches. I rewatched them and enjoyed them. it's too early to say if this is a certified classic.
MAAANN I was hoping you had Sami Zayn #1 ... I get the specitcal of WM40 but man.. that Sami feud/match had me feeling so many emotions I hadn't felt from wrestling in a while and haven't felt sense.. Think that will always be my #1! Glad it made your top 3 tho!
I agree with Sami vs Roman being at no.2 I'm not even kidding when i say that these two were staring down on each other for the first 7 mins and the crowd was chanting, "Fuk u Roman" and 'Ole' chants. 2023-24 Sami Zayn was something else❤
I would rate Roman v Jey HIAC higher just because it really kicked off The Bloodline and every storyline branched off of that. It was a great HIAC that used most of the cell and had good spots vs the cell matches we had seen from 2018-2019. It brought some legitimacy back to the HIAC match itself.
