For my loadouts, I mainly use the FNAB, MP40, and M3 Grease Gun. The biggest reason is because they are easy to conceal (as in, they don’t stick up past your cover, giving you away to enemies in Multiplayer). However, I might incorporate the Sten into a loadout and test it, the butt stock is relatively thin and hard to spot, so it could work.
The Sten submachine gun is my favourite secondary. It is relatively quiet, has an ideal magazine capacity and I find it easy to use either single shot or fully auto. The accuracy and stopping power is satisfactory for me. To me, it looks good also. And it makes a great addition to my load out along with the De Lisle, and the Welrod.
I like the fnab for multiplayer because on top of good damage model it doesn't have a stock which sticks out from the back and give your position away when crouching behind cover - what about sten, is it's stock visible like with other guns?
Wow, that's a very smart move to choose the FNAB because it has no stock, and thats looking way deeper into the game than I ever would, and I commend that. As for the Sten, the stock does stick out a bit, but the stock is skeletal and very low profile, so it would be quite difficult to see.
Well I do usually use the MKB-42(H) a lot. It’s my favorite secondary Assault Rifle. Also it wasn’t called Sturmgewehr yet because it was called the Maschinenkarabiner(Machine Carbine), before switching to Maschinenpistole(Machine Pistol) which is a different variant of the upgrade, till 1944 it was renamed into the Sturmgewehr(Assault Rifle). Well some small history detail I put. Well I already upgraded the MKB-42(H) and I make good used to it. I do forgiven the recoil but maybe fire in burst or single shot fire should improve it better.
Actually, the rifle round in the M30 Drilling is actually be useful for near middle ranges and you would have some ammo for your rifle at mid range. I know it’s one, but I only test it in the range, but I think it be helpful on easier difficulties.
I do use the already upgraded MP40 often in Survival mode but although the fire rate was not enough to, you know take on multiple enemies but accuracy is an issue and that’s why I rather use the MKB-42(H) instead.
Mainly because the MKB-42(H) has combine skills it got that I actually liked which is damage, recoil control, and accuracy. So it’s best to say that I know it’s not everyone’s favorite but hey, I make good use of it at some ranges. Mainly at close, mid, and long range.
Yeah, I know it's was only called the Sturmgewehr from 1944 onwards, and that the MKB-42 and Sturmgewehr are different guns, but I just like saying "Sturmgewehr".
I'm currently upgrading my PPH. It's decent. The MP 40 is maxed, and I like it as well. However, I maxed my FNAB, and it's definitely the one I've loved the most so far. But I will say that I'm now interested in the Sten, since I haven't tried it...
I mostly agree tho I personally would place Machinenkarabiner 42, higher on the list, as well as ppsh (not at the top tho) and both of the shotguns lower. also id put the thompson lower aswell. Not that my opinion matters, but that would be my changes for my own list. :)
I like a high accuracy rate. Using a smg brings accuracy down to the 60% range while the drilling with its one shot kill keeps accuracy in the 90% range
*"The recoil is measurable on the Richter Scale"* alright, you got me, you made me actually laugh out loud. Well done. Great roast. *Edit:* Wow, the writing of this is actually quite good, and genuinely funny. This is very enjoyable to watch.
Very early in the game I've gravitated toward the Carcano/FNAB/Luger as my preferred complement (I don't call it a loadout because I acquire them *during* the missions). Unless it's a truly specialized momentary usage, I have not found much that's better. While this is enjoyable from a playability standpoint, it's unusual that one can acquire the best weapons in the game so early. It would be nice to have the option to work towards some better weapons. Maybe that comes through upgrading? Guess I'll find out. I'm late to the party but enjoying the game immensely.
My top 3 for survival hard difficulty 1st.fnab 2nd.Mkb 42 3rd.M30 drilling Also, ive gotten double kills of jagers in rifle mode with the drilling, frim a range of 10m, its powerful, some time i blow a hole through valkyries from 4m 8m
I personally think the PPSH-41 is the goat, it is the quickest firing gun and it can quite literally mow down enemies, it has fantastic recoil control, damage is good. But your ammo runs out in an instant
Again, slightly different selection for me: Sten, PPSh (the Russian pronunciation is pe-pe-sha (not pi-pi-sha either)), and FNAB. To be honest though, I rarely use them in campaign, they are almost a burden between a good rifle and my Nagan. In the Solo Survival I have used the OVP frequently (it's not so bad if you get used to it). Generally though, I rarely switch to secondary, and if pressed to do so, I pick up one of the heavy jäger or Valkyrie machine guns, which is strong, fairly accurate, a very decent option.
Honestly i beat this whole game today for the first time mostly using the sturmgewher and whatever sniper i brought along with me on sniper elite difficulty going crazy just full on guns blazing. Yeah its recoil is shite but if u burst fire its a good. I really need to get the dlcs for my second run to have those sweet guns for my proper try hard playthrough
Whenever I play Invasion or Overwatch with my buddy I ALWAYS main the Sturmgewehr with M1911 and a semi-auto rifle (friend always packs Carcano) Because in Invasion I don't need a fancy little sidearm with oh-so balanced stats I need a nazi *lawnmower* when the game throws 40 krauts at us and there's literally not enough time to be smart about it, Sturmgewehr chews through flankers every time. I don't even notice the recoil it's not that hard to compensate for me personally, I am a Sturmgewehr FREAK
I stayed away from it until I accidentally swapped it while trying to pick up a corpse. I have found it super effective-it has decent range and accuracy. The recoil is no problem when firing in short bursts, and in longer bursts it actually helps spread the damage around in a crowd. Plus it's really easy to upgrade. So, yes, I agree with you that it's a good weapon and I'd rank it much more highly than it's given here.
I sort of like the OVP. Some context: I've been slowly going through and getting every weapon fully upgraded, OVP was quite literally the last one I had to do in the secondary slot. I seriously considered not leveling that gun up after I saw how it recoils. But, after it is upgraded, it is actually alright. It wouldn't be my first choice, but it isn't all that bad.
It’s the only gun worth using on tdm you can have someone unloading on you draw the ppsh and still kill them easy the only annoying thing is the but sticks above wall when crouching I use the fnab if I think I’m gonna be having to hide a bit
So this one I am confused why you gave such a low rating to the MKb 42 and such a higher to the MP40/Tommy. You also complained about the Tommy kicking hard and you say that the only thing holding back the MKb 42 was the recoil but if you look at the stats in game the MKb 42 is better or matching in all areas save losing a little bit on recoil to the MP40. With you rating it below the shotguns I think you are sleeping on the MKb 42 here. You obviously knew that it is what the StG 44 comes from and that is the grand daddy of your more common assault rifles like the full auto AK / M-16. The DNA is obvious here. I had to look it up as I had no clue what round it used and obviously that one has changed as it used a 7.92 x 33. Obviously the 7.62 x 39 won that history competition. To be fair though I also don't go full rock and roll with it as I know that going beyond a three round burst you are just wasting ammo at that point. That is also a failing of the AK and the M-16 and why the M-16 went to a 3 round burst mode instead of full auto.
Mate, you need to work on your German pronunciation. ,😉😉😉 Our neighbours will get sad. Never easy to pronounce foreign words. Dutch is somewhat similar to German so it's easier for us.
