Team Yell and Star are not Villain Teams. Team Yell was just annoying, and Team Star were just a bunch of students who got stuck with a bad rep after their bullies ran away scared.
@@justasentientmclarenp1879bro what? That would be terrible. Imagine everyone had to have the same opinion. That would be so boring. Just learn to respect others’ opinions
@@shamimaruna6381 yeah, but it’s not just about the anime. In the games, they were barely seen and once you defeated them, they were never seen again. The anime hard carry’s team flare
Admits he didn't pay attention to Galar's story, says so little about Team Star that it indicates he didn't even PLAY Paldea, basically indirectly makes the "Team Plasma was right" argument that the entirety of BW1 and even Ghetsis himself make clear is stupid, and puts Team Rocket at number one with the SOLE argument being "GENWUN." This short is the pinnacle of modern Pokétube.
I know right, some people dude. I have no bias towards any gen because I look for the good in all of them, and it frustrates me when people don’t even pay attention to story lines. Team yell wasn’t even Galar’s villain team, they were just a nuisance following around the gym leader’s sister during her league challenge cheering her on who challenged the player a few times. Backing that up, they even help the player in the end and the real villain is revealed. (Chairman Rose & Macro Cosmos). I would honestly put team Star a lot higher up because of their backstory and redemption arc. In my opinion, there was no true villain in Paldea, the player just fixed some bullied kids’ problems, fixed Arven’s family problems, fixed Arven’s parent’s mistake, and became champion. Also, I agree that this dude has some terrible takes and does several games injustice in this short.
I mean team rocket was crazy in the manga. They had articuno, moltres, zapdos, an eevee that could evolve in any of his evolutions whenever he wanted to. Like 5 out of the 8 gym leaders of kanto were part of it. Etc
The Team Plasma in the games were definitely good villains. Team Plasma in the anime sucked in my opinion. If the actual meteorite arc in the beginning never got canceled because of that stupid earthquake, tsunami & nuclear disaster didn't happen, the whole Best Wishes anime would've been a lot different. Why the anime staff thought it was a good idea to continue the show with Burgh's gym battle & not go on a hiatus is in my opinion, bad taste. Sucks we didn't get the actual story.
@pieterhofkens7259 Yeah. I still wonder what would've happened. Like, would we have gotten more Team Rocket vs. Team Plasma arcs throughout the rest of the series? Would Team Plasma transition from their white outfits to looking like a terrorist organization? Would N & His foster sisters show up in the story sooner? It makes me wonder what would've happened if all the disasters from 2011 had never happened.
My guess is that he is going by most frequently appearing throughout their games. In a sense, that should've also included the Aether Foundation from Sun/Moon but only included Team Skull. Remember Marco Cosmos you don't fight until near the very end of the game.
Because he tries to substantiate his opinions with reasoning that applies better to other teams T_T. Like Team Rocket at number 1??? What was their goal besides stealing pokemon and making money? Not really an interesting story there
Team flare were cruicial to alan story arc(aka the dude who beated ash geninja and litteraly ash's strongest and most well written rival) Litteraly all 8 kalos gym leader, STEVEN STONE, alan and ash were needed just to take them.
@@rell660it’s not at all a duh moment to say team Rocket is the best evil team. And people that hate Gen 1 can honestly be thanks to the lame ass genwunners that shove it in their face about how every other Gen is borderline dogshit and everything is uncreative
@@rell660 People aren't hating on gen 1, we're hating on those wearing rose-tinted glasses thinking gen 1 is the best of the best. And I feel like people making these videos always put gen 1 at the top to avoid backlash from the genwunners like yourself.
@@mabzishortsTeam Star wanted to fight against bullying in the school, as teachers were not acting, but they eventually became the bullies and now that's caused them to not want to return to class. Team Yell: literally just simps for a goth girl 🤡
If you think that Team Rocket's goal was to steal Pokemon, you would be dead wrong. They are the Pokemon world's equivalent of the mafia that tries to take over the world in a realistic manner through bribes and corruption. Also all the other evil teams needed the help of their respective game's box art legendary. Team Rocket created the single most overpowered Pokemon in history.
@@Unknown_user6969 Who necessarily said that Team Rocket was the one to create Mewtwo? It could've gone like the Anime where it was a group of random scientists who created them, but Giovanni just bribed Mewtwo to do Team Rocket's work for a season until it ultimately left and went into the Cerulean Cave.
This isn't based on the games alone lol. Team Rocket has survived and thrived in multiple regions and is a far more realistic evil than Plasma or Galactic.
@@buddy2369 No, they absolutely don't. The worst part about HG/SS is the back to back Team Rocket bs. Giovanni is a trash tier gym leader, too. Bro has lore and the MewTwo movie. That's it.
Yah but team stars goal is boring compared to plasma, one uses a the goal of liberating Pokémon as a front for world domination and the other is like “hey… stop bullying”
@kandashr6_yt918 Team Yell weren't really villains. They were more of a fan club for Marnie. The true Sword & Shield villains were Macro Cosmos. Team Yell weren't bad side characters, in my opinion.
@@joshuafrizzell7856there were no villains is sword/shield because the game treats you like an idiot the entire time so they got rid of the villain plot until right at the end
Team star is ok to stay there bc they aren’t exactly villains, but calling them forgettable I will not be taking bc they weren’t forgettable at all. Their story was emotional and actually fun to play through.
Team Star might not be thaaaat villainous at the end of the day,but c'mon their whole storyline is so wholesome that it actually sets them apart as a Team
@@thatboyminus they aren't doing anything bad, I would consider evil team in galar rose's team (The most forgetable in entire series) you know these guys who are trying to stop you from interupting conversiation of Rose and leon
Team Skull had character development though. With Guzma and Plumeria acting as sort of older siblings to the grunts they made a (dysfunctional) family that had each other’s backs. Personally they’re my absolute favourite team. And also Team Yell wasn’t meant to be a villain just because they had Team in their name. They were just supposed to be the antagonist group but that doesn’t make them bad guys
@@charnalk5572 I don't ever recall Galactic pretending they were a charity (I'm currently playing platinum again rn), if anything they were same with the other teams in admitting they just use pokemons for their own gain and even repeated by Cyrus that he wants the pokemon's powers for himself. The difference is team galactic had actual world ending plans unlike team rocket lol.
Team Plasma had two sides to it, which we see fleshed out in B/W2. Ghetsis indeed manipulated N and used him as a facade to hide his true intentions, but many Team Plasma members joined because they truly believed in N’s goal and were unaware of Ghetsis’.
there is 2 sides of team plasma those who want to release all of the pokemon to the wild liberating all of the pokemon from humans and there is ghetsis side who also wants the same shit exept he is the only one that uses a pokemon allowing him to easily conquer Unova.
unpopular opinion: I actually like team yell more than team star on the grounds that yell arent really villans, they are just a crazy fandom that even piers and marnie get annoyed about. which oddly made them kinda endearing. plus they dont really overstay their welcome by not really having a center in the main story. team star wants you to take them seriously while being all over the place with conflicting motivations as to what they are even doing.
@@hunbi1875 but that problem got solved before the game starts. so why are they still doing what they are doing? of they do anything. i dont think bullied kids is a bad idea because bullying is messed up. but i just feel like they couldve done it better. maybe if they showed flashbacks of each boss getting bullied id have more sympathy
Team aqua and magma were very good in the anime and also in the games. Why the hate? Except for Cyrus I always found team Galactic very weak. Those Glameow's and other weak trash, specially because Sinnoh had such a weak pokemon composition early game
I love how villain teams were just goofy lil clubs until Team Galactic, who actually had a reasonable purpose turned corrupt but also STOLE FIVE COSMIC BEINGS TO RESET THE UNIVERSE AND ENDED UP BEING SUCCESSFUL (until the player happens, but you get the point)
3 teams missing here the aether foundation, team rainbow rocket (which is much more powerful then regular rocket) and macro cosmos. Team rainbow rocket is the best team even though they are a small part. team plasma was also great as they asked a philosophical question of if it's ethical to capture and battle pokemon under the guise they'd do it for world control. Team flare just sucked they were doomers who wanted to create a beautiful new world by killing all life. Team skull and team star were awesome it's great seeing the skull grunts take down the aether foundation and team star werent necessarily evil but had a good message don't bully people.
@@avalospTeam rocket are the literal mafia, hello? They were the most realistic villain team because they were that, a villain team, they lusted for power and control and took over the criminal underworld, this tier list is actually pretty damn good
@@Ampheline Yes, but they lacked personality and outside of Giovanni, who's not as charismatic as some people say he is, there isn't anything memorable about team rocket. Even the admins are forgettable. They had no clear or interesting goal and the only thing really noticeable about them was the fact that they were inspired by the mafia. They're not bad and they're still iconic being the first ever team but I personnally don't think it's enough to consider them as the best one.
Saying Team Plasma has a “valid and meaningful goal” while dissing on team Star because kids didn’t want to be bullied and only found comfort in other rejects is massive hypocrisy
When you say Team Star is forgettable, so you mean the grunts, or the leaders? I can agree about the grunts being forgettable, but definitely not it’s leaders
What I like the most about rocket is how similar they are to real life. No grand world changing plan. No fake morale. They're just mobsters. They want money and power, just like mobs in reality. They don't care about pokemon, nor do they pretend to.
I agree the list should be based on goals of the villians and how impact full they are to the story Galactic wanted universal recreation Flare wanted world recreation/ destruction Magma and aqua wanted eternal drought and storms Rocket wanted world domination and enslavement Plasma wanted separation then they become like bootleg rocket with world domination and enslavement Skull were just family type mischief outcasts Yell were fanboys And star were bullied kids turned bully's
I didn't watched the anime, so my ranking will be quite different 8.T. Yell 7.T. Star 6.T. Galactic 5.T. Skull 4.T. Flare 3.T. Rocket 2.T. Magma/Aqua 1.T. Plasma
To be fair, Team Yell weren't even supposed to be evil. When Piers found out they were doing illegal stuff, he was like, "WTF? You were just supposed to cheer my sister on!"
Was expecting Flare to be pretty low, but I like that you actually have them ranked pretty high. They mostly suffered from being poorly utilized in the games, but had potential once you realize they're basically a genocidal secret police (listening in on Holocaster conversations, having some implicit plainclothes agents, media control thru Malva as well as her being a double agent in the E4, on top of their wealth as an organization. They could have been cool.) The anime and manga both did Flare so much more justice.
1st place: haha we steal pikmins 4th place: haha we committed terrorism on Opelucid city 3rd place: haha we *tried* to commit terrorism on the whole world by exploding it and causing genocide or something Rankings based on how evil they were: 8 - Star 7 - Yell 6 - Magma/Aqua 5 - Rocket 4 - Skull(they also steal pikmins but are actually good at their job) 3 - Galactic 2 - Flare(they would be 1 if they actually succeeded) 1 - Plasma(the only team to succeed somewhat)
