I always thought Yamato was a good host for Hashirama's DNA cause he was a Senju to begin with. Kishimoto even made sure to put the Tobirama-style headband on him and he sort of has a resemblance anyway. That'd be such a cool story hook to develop Yamato's character further

Yamato's Wood style always impressed me because it always spawned as a treated, styled, polished wood be it a structure or spike. It even has different color to it. He may not be the strongest and he is underrated, but he's so useful and has his moments.

Maybe we have different definitions of “Best” because Yamato appears more skilled despite his shallow chakra pool.

I have a suggestion for your rewrite series, make Sasuke actually kill Itachi like physically and when you show the flashback show Itachi actually pushing Shisui off the cliff. In both cases obviously the victim let themselves get killed but let it be that the person who awakened the MS actually killed their loved one. This will help justify why tf more Uchiha did not awaken the MS and it will make Itachi look like less of an asshole for telling his brother to kill his best friend. Also I personally prefer the idea that the MS is awakened by feeling great guilt because you killed a loved one. The guilt reasoning will also explain the EMS why they don't just swap eyeballs because you'd feel no guilt if you just swapped Mangekyou Sharingans but if after killing a close person to you you stole the eyes of a loved one I imaging your guilt would be through the roof. As for Obito, Kakashi killed Rin and the Sharingan's are kinda synchronized (Obito could see glimpses through Kakashi's eye) so it still works, plus personally when I first watched that scene i thought they both awakened their individual MS and it was just a coincidence that it happed at the exact same time. Also consider making Sasuke use his MS for a bit longer before he gets the EMS to justify how tf Itachi used the MS for so long. Finally I wish you erased Guy saying that the Sharingan was derived from the Byakugan because it makes you wonder why no Hyuga ever tried to awaken the Sharingan the way Madara awakened the Rinnegan.

Soo... in the Naruto Rewrite you change Yamato and give him a few buffs in the form of the wood dragon and the oni armor ( armor that is made of wood and might not have been a very bright idea to use it against kakuzu's fire style in retrospective ) and now you are saying that his wood style is unique compared to the others. The Budha thing from Hashirama was not "relative to Madara's susano'o". That is head canon and offensive to this point. In the manga we all saw how Hashirama squashed Madara with that. Everything Madara did, Hashirama did better. Madara had the help og the 9 tails and other stuff and Hashirama still clapped Madara's ass multiple times while holding back a lot.

Why creating a wooden-Buddha when one of iron or even rock is more massive?

I just realised how strong Zetsu is. People say he's weak. But nah. Dude was on par-ish with a kcm1 naruto, a kage and a squad of bodyguard level jonin. That makes him mid kage+ (abilities are more stealth and spy/mobility oriented.) the true white zetsu was easily above Kage level himself and even made a smaller version of Hashirama's Jutsu. High kage+ The truest form of Zetsu is half white half black. and it can be assumed both halves abilities merge and become increased in potency. If that's the case then True Zetsu is easily Legendary level.
