I would love for you to do a tier list of the most well-known one liners from horrors and rank them from iconic to cringe 😂 please please haha

the invisible man would be another one that'd go in the league of it's own imo i think the reason why the bottom categories stayed pretty empty is bc a lot of the bad ones (poltergeist, firestarter, the omen, the grudge, nightmare on elm street 2010, piranha 3d etc.) weren't on it but there's been so many unnecessary/bad remakes atp it's hard to keep up

This was such a cool idea for a tier list! The Evil Dead remake was the first rated R film I saw in theaters, and I will never forget that experience👹

Omg I LOVE House on Haunted Hill 99. The scene where the woman comes across an empty room but looks in her camera and sees that it's filled with ghosts who then all turn to her is one the most iconic scenes to my life lol I saw it when I was like 11 and never forgot it

Perhaps adding the Poltergeist, Firestarter and Nightmare on Elm Street remakes could have filled up the unnecessary/ so bad sections. Great video!!

House on Haunted Hill (1999) is my feel-good horror movie, along with Thirteen Ghosts. When I am sick or down, I go to those. Probably a combo of nostalgia and cheesiness, lol.

The original Suspiria is so amazing and if you haven’t watch the movie the opera it is also amazing to all of his movies are A+ plus

The Haunting reboot was one of my all times faves! Loved it since I was a kid. Really enjoyed Owen Wilson being the plucky comic relief.

the last midnight showing i saw was the evil dead remake & it was beautiful 🥹 packed theater cheering & screaming together 🥹 i really REALLY hope you one day check out the original my bloody valentine - i know the era isn't your vibe but i swear there is something special about it! the original suspiria is good as well - a beautiful nightmare

How on Earth does anyone make a ranking of horror movie remakes and LEAVE OUT John Carpenter's The Thing???? It's like making a ranking of gangster movies and leaving out Goodfellas!!

A good list! I'd put Dawn of the Dead in "A League of its Own" because it introduced to the concept of fast zombies which absolutely terrifies me.

Love your tier lists, they aaaalways make me laugh in a good way. You should do one about the most with most cliches to the ones with less. Or another about how much were police officers, doctors, priests, mediums and/or soldiers actually helpful in those movies.

I like that you included Thirteen Ghosts. That one doesn't get enough appreciation.

I was SO surprised how much I liked the Hills Have Eyes remake when I finally watched it last year! It's definitely in my favourite remakes along with The Thing, IT, The Ring, and The Fly.

I agree about House on Haunted Hill. It's on Tubi TV right now and I've watched it everyday for like a week.

I came here to see where you ranked My Bloody Valentine, was thrilled to see Thirteen Ghosts in the top tier-- I get why a lot of people called it cheesy, but let's be real, so was the original, and the remake had such an amazing cast and set. (and I'll admit to being That Guy about being as glad as I was to see My Bloody Valentine beat out House of Wax, but honestly it's a good remake that changes enough to deliver a surprise to those familiar with the original, but without feeling cheap about it)

The thing with the Pet Semetary remake is that I really liked John Lithgow’s performance (nowhere near the original Fred Gwynne), but Lithgow tried to bring his best. Really loved this! I like that you take into account public opinion on some of the movies.

The problem with the Child Play remake is that the Chucky movies ans show are still going strong. Halloween, Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Nightmare on Elm Street didn’t have a movie in a super long time, but not Chucky. Very well explained on the Dead Meat kill count.

I'm little surprised Little Shop of Horrors (the 1986 musical) wasn't on here. It's one of those horror remakes that everyone agrees is more better than the original Roger Corman movie.

u should definitely watch Suspiria original. I dont usually enjoy horror classics, but Suspiria is my favorite horror classic ever. It is such a treat to the eyes and the music is just phenonmenal

I held out on watching the original Last House on the Left for so long because of similar thoughts that you mentioned, but I have to say it is a great movie! *That scene* you are referring to is more suggestive and doesn't dwell on it for too long as with other films in the same genre. I have not seen the remake, but the original has a very grimy feel as well similar to TCM

thank you! house on haunted hill, evil dead, it, 13 ghosts and the house on the left are among my favorite horror remakes ever ^^. personally I love Hills have eyes, texas chainsaw massacre, dawn of the dead, 2006 black Christmas, the blob, bloody valentine, rob zombie's halloween, house of wax and prom night remakes (with House of wax, black christmas and the blob more than the originals). I agree that cabin fever, pet cemetery and the 2019 black christmas SUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKK.

There needs to be a category below "so Bad" like, "Abysmal" and that is where 2010's "A Nightmare on Elm Street" goes...

Some remakes that I DO like (a rarity) all happen to be ones that were not mentioned in THIS video - Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), Nosferatu the Vampire (1979), The Thing (1982), and Cat People (1982). But THOSE are OLDER ones and have nothing to do with this shitty current Hollywood remake TREND, which I pretty much hate, and which all those included in THIS video were of.

I love your tiers. I think it's my favourite type of your content. And the my favourite thing is how different our taste in horror movies is (I.e. I love Hellriser and Nightmare on Elm Street but Texas Chainsaw is just meh for me) - but that makes it more entertaining. I love seeing other people's perspective, world would be incredibly boring of we all liked same things

the only one I wholeheartedly disagree on is quarantine. not because it's bad (I mean, I don't like it, but eh), but because it's a remake of a found footage, contemporary movie. literally nothing is gained from it except no having to read subtitles if you're a native english speaker. for the ones that you didn't see the original, you pretty much nailed it. I love the original suspiria with a passion, but the remake is soooo good

There was a movie theater here that closed in the 90's. It sat abandoned for like ten years, and suddenly around 2003 they reopened it and started showing movies- but they didn't do anything to the building. It was full of displays and old movie posters from before. At that time I went to a midnight showing of The Blob remake. They only showed a few movies and it closed again. It was on a lot with a stand alone department store, a pharmacy and a couple little shops. In the past decade those other buildings closed and were demolished one by one. Now there is just an empty lot and the theater still sits there, exactly as it was when it first closed. It's so weird.

I love 1999's The House on Haunted Hill because just like TREMORS, it was a film that was always being replayed when I was a kid. You're right, most people dismiss it as "90's cheese" which yes it does have, mainly due to Chris Katan's hilarious performance. But the horror is so unnerving because its a Haunted Institution rather than a Haunted House and they greatly use that for affect, especially in the Saturation chamber sequence. Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead is my favorite zombie film of all time, that's just my opinion. I LOVE The Blob remake, Black Christmas 06, My bloody Valentine and Halloween 07.

I find these kind of videos so interesting cause each horror fan has their own tiers from this because I personally LOVE the 2013 remake of Carrie😩 But I respect everyone else’s opinions cause it’s film! Film is subjective

The original Last House on the Left is pretty uncomfortable & unnerving to watch. Wes Craven and actor David Hess took things a step too far when trying to motivate at least one of the actresses in it to perform better. The 1972 movie might make a good topic for a Toxic Movie Sets vid if you have done that one yet.

I agree with almost every movie on the list, and I'm surprised that you like quarantine, since everyone said is a bad remake and because of that I never saw it, now I need to watch it!.

i think a great remake is: A.so famous to the point the remake is more recognizable than the original (the thing,the ring. etc) B.is a nuke remake. meaning it just destroys almost everything about the original movie/s and creates a whole new world (silent night,wrong turn etc)

House on Haunted Hill is one of my favorites, too. I like horror remakes for the most part. The original Suspiria is really good, very trippy for a movie in the seventies. I still need to watch the remake.

I think I'm the only person in the world that likes cabin fever. I would put in love or hate. I remember enjoying the music

I got traumatized by The Blob when I was younger lmao, it came on tv when my parents were sleeping and my little sister was with me. It was one of those "disgusting but can't look away" movies for me, and my sister kept yelling at me to turn it off for obvious reasons. Then my older sister came downstairs cuz the yelling woke her up and she saw what we were watching and was like "I could tell our parents that you were watching this with her" and held it over my head for like MONTHS lol. And the movie scared me so she kept teasing me about "oh be careful The Blob doesn't come out of the toilet and eat you" and crap 🙄
