I get not being too excited for a The Authority based on how little people know about them (in comparison to more popular characters) but the more I learn about them the more potential I see.
I'm looking forward to every single one. CC would be fun. Waller will had Peacemaker in it so peak for sure. and The Authority would leads up to Superman and the authority and maybe we gonna have an adaptation of "Whats so funny about truth justice and the american way"
I was the guy asking for more Weasel, so I’m hyped! 1. Superman Legacy - I too am a big Superman fan and judging from what James Gunn’s said about him, I think he really gets the character. 2. Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow - I love Supergirl! Once again, it’s what James Gunn said about having her be more jaded from her experiences is what got me sold. I think this angle really works well when applied to the character and it’s probably what I would do too! 3. Creature Commandos - MORE. WEASEL. And also animation! I love the concept of monsters fighting Nazis, I love the character designs, and (though I haven’t seen it in motion) I think I love the art style. I hope we get way more Weasel after this ngl 4. The Brave and the Bold - Batfamily. 5. Booster Gold - So excited to see Green Lantern (but seriously, I think this is going to be so cool) 6. Lanterns - I’m also a little concerned on the True Detective angle but I’m not going to knock it until I’ve tried it. Also John AND Hal! 7. Swamp Thing - I like Swamp Thing well enough. 8. The Authority - I know nothing about the Authority. I think it’s going to be good, don’t get me wrong, but nothing so far has enticed me too much. 9. Waller - Do I like the idea of an Amanda Waller show? Nah, I like her as a side character. But I do love Viola Davis’ interpretation of the character and the creator of the Doom Patrol TV show is working on it! 10. Paradise Lost - I’m not really excited for this one. It could be good but…eh, not that interested in a pre-Diana Themyscira, Game of Thrones type series. I love Wonder Woman, I think she’s great and I think her mythos is really cool. But I think if you ARE going to make a Themyscira show (which I don’t think is that necessary), it should be during Diana’s time so we can bring in more interesting characters like Donna Troy. Just my two cents.
I feel like Creature Commandos is right up James Gunn's alley since it's an obscure property and James wanted to introduce them to wider audiences. Having read the Authority, I feel like it's gonna be less like The Boys because the heroes are actual heroes who want to help people, just using morally questionable matters to handle a threat. I feel like they are going to be more like The Elite Manchester Black with how some of them have a very cynical worldview and when they meet Superman, he is gonna counteract their views with his optimistic view of the world.
I'm most looking forward to Superman, Swamp Thing, and Batman. That being said, I'm very curious about the mystery being explored in Lanterns. I just hope it's not the death of Orion, because kicking off with Final Crisis would be nuts (but would also lead to Dick Grayson Batman so who knows).
Superman, Supergirl, and GL I'm the most excited for. Batman definitely as well but I don't like Damian as a character. I like everything else but it's all so weird with how the universe is being mapped out. I would connect Booster and Blue Beetle. Ted Kord and Booster meet and work together. Ted dies at the end. The scarab they discover and Jamie is introduced at the end of Booster's story. That's how I would do it but I know Blue Beetle comes before Booster.
I’ve been wanting to to do My Titans Movie since 2k17. Maybe I’ll do My Teen Titans Movie in James Gunn’s DC Universe. I like to do Bring the Titans in a Shared Universe. I really hope I’ll make it to My Movie-Directing/Acting Career,🙏🙏🙏.
I’m least excited for Waller just because I don’t know what exactly it’ll be, but I’ll watch it for sure. I’m actually super excited for Creature Commandos, I love Weasel, and I know that Gunn works well with lesser known characters. Paradise Lost and Lanterns are the two big ones I look forward to most.
Swamp Thing is such an interesting character and I'm excited to see it occur because he is just so unique in the grand scheme of the DC Universe. Superman Legacy has me excited because with James Gunn at the helm, it makes me hopeful that Superman can be done right. Supergirl is such an interesting character with an interesting worldview, ideology, and overall she is just an interesting character I'm mildly excited to see adapted. Booster Gold is an interesting character, I'm just not familiar with his readings but could be a cool show. I'm gonna be honest, the last time I interacted with anything Wildstorm related was like 10 years ago. But from what I remember, The Authority aren't really the gloomy Garth Ennis Anti-Superhero material and if done right, I think can result in an interesting team that while admittedly having their darker moments, aren't just needlessly edgy or depressing. I'm not familiar with Creature Commandos, but the premise is actually pretty interesting and seeing that it's animated is cool to see. On one hand, Robin is finally being adapted and the fact that Damian finally gets a chance to show how far he has come and a chance at people finally liking Damian is promising. On the other hand, I prefer Batman and Superman being closer in age and also Robert Pattinson and David Corenswet would've been a perfect duo to play Bruce and Clark. I'd love a show based on the Lanterns, but on Earth only? True Detective influence? Maybe it could work if later seasons expand beyond Earth but honestly if something was to get True Detective influence, I'd rather something based on The Question or Fables would've been more appropriate. But I'm hoping to be proven wrong. Waller? I like Viola Davis as an actress and from what I've seen she is great at what she does but I feel the problem is that Waller just isn't the character to carry her own project. I lowkey wish someone else got a project like maybe a Vixen, Zatanna, or someone else. Although I'd love to be proven wrong. I'm not really feeling Paradise Lost, I'd love a take on Game of Thrones but in the DC Universe but I'm kind of sad Themyscira was chosen, I feel another setting would've been cool since I'm not a fan of that place but maybe it could work if done right.
I'm just expecting The Authority to be either an R Rated version of Guardians of The Galaxy or more or less the same as The Suicide Squad. Still hell of a time to be a DC Fan
Honestly I'm excited for lanterns we never had a good love action green lantern film so seeing more than one and learning about the lanterns could be really cool and superman legacy us gonna be great james is a great director his vision of Heroes is incredible I got faith his universe will be pretty good for batman I just want to see damian never really seen him on live action so could be cool and nightwing might be in it super hyped for that
I think we already got our definitive iteration of Superman back in 1978, but yeah looking forward to Legacy. I'm just concerned with how Gunn's gonna handle the story since I don't really associate Gunn's style to Superman.
Same rankings here too i'm so excited about what James gunn might fixed and make dc universe great again i'm hype for superman: legacy, lanterns series, supergirl solo film, swamp thing, paradise lost series, and batman: the brave and the bold.
If they do The Authority properly then they’ll win me over. That comic made me rethink what I wanted from the medium, I think it’s what lead me to the more non-mainstream stuff.
I like this DCU slate but the only problem for me is that Henry Cavill isn’t coming back as Superman, even though they could’ve brought him back for Superman.
We already did it was called Man of Steel what I like about Man of Steel that it was actually cool it wasn't lighthearted and respect to Christopher Reeve I think Henry Cavill Superman is Superman what can I say that's just my opinion I just like how much cooler and epic it is Krypton was my favorite aspect and the final battle with zod so much fun and what a powerful moment for Clark I mean he didn't want to kill zod but as his weakness Superman had no choice it was for the sake of humanity
The definitive iteration of Superman wouldn’t be a cynic who says lines like “no one stays good in this world” and is presented like a Jesus figure, both things that completely destroy the point of the character. He was nowhere near the definitive iteration of the character, it was a complete butchering of the character.
Yes sir you are right they shouldn't put lines like that in there I agree I get this is supposed to be more realistic but at the same time Superman is a comic book character he's not realistic I think for the Man of Steel 2 if they ever did It i think they should have gotten new writers in a new director and gotten rid of the Jesus imagery and focus on what Henry Cavill wanted on what makes Superman Superman I see what you're coming from now I should have never said that to me that was more mean defending Cavill been listening to what your opinion list and I should have done that from the beginning sorry sir I respect your opinion and I hope you know that I was just saying that's why I loved Henry cavell's interpretation of him because besides the Jesus imagery stuff you take that out and I think we have a better vision of this character while still having those realistic aspects to it I think it would have been in a little bit better if they bounced them both right
@@joeyamason1029 I see. My mistake was thinking you were defending Snyder’s writing. I think Henry Cavill was a fantastic choice for the character as well who was wasted by bad writing but unfortunately it’s time to move on. Apologies for the misunderstanding.
I’m kinda disappointed in James for this whole “lesser known” type crap. I think he should omit creature commandos and Waller. The only things that pass are Booster gold, swamp thing, and the authority
Is this really real or is this all for an act on RU-vid? Cause this seems a little too far for a RU-vid channel. Especially with the Dominican Republic thing. Edit: Sorry, I commented on the wrong video, I was talking about what’s going on between Lance Stewart and Jesse Tyler Ridgeway.
Aint nobody care about them. Besides they need to focus on the main characters in the Justice Leauge they cant just already begin exploring other teams like that
@@seijiren5115 I'm sorry but i dont think i have the patience for 10+ year worth of my life just for some D-C tier character to spot all the focus. This is not like JLD where they represent both the magic and science side of DC.
@@spookynigga3112 The Slate is called "God and Monsters and it will make the world building of DC from the god level like Superman wonderwoman to Monsters level like CC or Peacemaker team. and how can you say there are only C-D listers when Superman, Batman, Robin, GL, Supergirl, And series that will leads to Wonderwoman are right there?
@@seijiren5115 words salad for " James want to do more suicided squad " All of those movies/Tv show are just killers for hires.
