My highlights (in no particular order) are definitively Hexed Opera, Money Move, Stereo, Machine, Motor and Droid Hexed Opera is no Infortunii, but still hyped for LP. While I get the reason why Droid is low on the list, I still really love the alien factory vibes of it. It's literally Silk, if it was more dark.
Tl;dr: yey alison on monstercat wooo Im so fucking happy F.O.O.L brought A.L.I.S.O.N to the label (btw nice names lmao). This is exacly something that I would expect from that guy. Something I would expect to hear on Electronic Gems channel. I love "Vibrance" so much. I love Retrowave so much. Such an amazing beautiful genre of music. My favourite songs from A.L.I.S.O.N are Golden Dust and Space Echo, but I did not listen to all of his songs so theres probably more that I would love. My favourite retrowave artists are HOME (absolutely no doubt about it, this guy is fkn amazing), Voyage, Unfound and Emil Rottmayer. But at this moment my favourite single is Forhill & oDDlng - Supernal. There's more songs that were my favourite at some point, but this one is the one I started to absolutely love just in this year and did not play it enough times yet haha. My all time favourites are: Home - Hold (whole EP too honestly but this single especially) Home - We're Finally Landing (wow) De Lorra - Slow Drip Maximum Love - Dream Getaway (especially this one. oh my god what a song) Home - Before the Night De Lorra - Let Us Emil Rottmayer - Mega 憂鬱 (Yu-Utsu) - Sun Voyage - Beyond Voyage - Hyper World Complete - Moonwalk (maybe not as good as the rest of these but still almost as good) and now Forhill & oDDlng - Supernal - all of these songs were my very favourite ones at some point, but of course my obsession with Retrowave started from HOME - Resonance. First was PYLOT and F.O.O.L, but it's not really _that_ type of synthwave. I don't really have to mention Resonance I think, everyone knows how amazing it is. and honestly Memory Reboot is really beautiful but I hate mentioning songs that go viral on tiktok so ehhh Great ranking btw, could agree to most of it, for example I like Droid way more than you, but thats just one of the few here. btw I was about to submit my picks for bo2023, but I remembered that Just A Gent released a song recently and I decided to quickly go and listen to it, just played 10 seconds of the drop and decided to find a place for it in my vote. I even wrote a comment about it "just remembered I did not check out new Just a Gent yet and now I think I'll have to find a place for Poundering Minds here 😅 maybe I'll replace one of vesk green songs with it, idk yet, one vote per one artist is more than enough i think" But that was still before I submited the vote. And so, like 1 hour before the voting was over, I listened to Poundering Minds once again and instantly swapped VESK GREEN - NIGHT for it and instantly submited my 15 votes. Or at least I hope I did, I think I remember correctly, I did not screenshot it and I dont know if theres a way to check it 😅 I wish I did not procrastinate and actually listened to the whole 2023 discography before the voting began. This is the reason why I did not even submit my votes in 2022, and after that I felt really bad about it because there was so many amazing songs in 2022, especially silk surprised me, there was way more songs from that label in 2022 i can label as my favourite than I could ever expect.
@@luneckerRetrowave on the label is a really interesting choice and tbh we do need a couple of more Synthwave artists on the label. I'm glad you even mention artists like Voyage cause they're really underappreciated
The song is just so spectacular and we haven't had a song like that in a while but I kinda do agree that I did went a little overboard with the reasoning
