Ranking Popular Kdrama Series from Best to Cringe-Worthy 

Just wanted to say that I agree with you on Descendants of the sun...it was boring, the romance sucked and it was very cringe at times....

I have never re watched Crash Landing On You. I enjoyed watching it but never been drawn to rewatching

I love mysteries and medical dramas and I'm mey on romance. I enjoy a good romance if it's part of a deeper story. For me, I rewatch often=Doctors, Suspicious Partners, Fight for My Way, Strong Woman, While You were Sleeping. I rewatch specific episodes of Goblin, Melting me Softly, My Roommate, King Eternal. I enjoyed Dr. Romantic. I could never understand Rookie, W, and some others. But many of my all time favs are not on this list. I am surprised at the number of these I've watched. It is hard to rank all of these.

Yes, I agree. You put a lot of hard work into compiling this. It's one of the reasons why I follow you! After seeing your compilation, I'm kind of proud of myself too because as a newbie--just started watching kdramas in October of last year--I have still managed to watch the majority of the dramas you mentioned. And, of the ones I watched, weirdly enough I suppose, I agree 100% with your rankings!! You go, fdq!!

I almost agreed with all the ones I had watched! Although I loved the actress in abyss and that’s probably why I ranked it higher lol And bc I’ve only seen 31 kdramas so far😅 So haven’t really gotten tired of the crime thing just yet.

About time, Nevertheless, Uncontrollably fond, Goblin, Fight For My Way for me are a 10/10 & would rewatch. Nevertheless it was tension that builds between the leads and if you watch it with speed you may miss it, also for me the female lead feelings, thoughs were very relatable. Uncontrollably fond is the type of show that I search, I miss a really good cry. She Would Never Know, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, Itaewon Class are fantastic but not 10/10. Run On is in the dropped category because of the female lead, something is missing in her acting but maybe i'll watch it with 4x speed for the male lead, maybe 🤔. Melting Me Softly is in the dropped & planning to restart watching it. Abis for me is in the dropped category without ever planning to restart watching it. Maybe a new category is nedded "never planning to watch" 😂😂 for shows like Penthouse.

Maybe the last categories should have been the other way around. If you 4x speed watched it but finished it, at least you were interested enough to know what was going to happen in the end. Watched and dropped means you just didn’t care about it anymore at some point and are not even interested in knowing.

I agreed with so much of this. Like Abyss i couldnt get through it, hotel del luna and tale of the nine tailed are the same even tho i can understand why some people would like them. Descendants of the sun is such an average drama I think it was only the real life connection between actors that people enjoyed it for but CLOY is a way better drama and now them two have a kid! I agreed with your top 10s too and I dont hear people talking about her private life as much as wwwsk so that was nice to see. Theres some (mainly older dramas) that are classics and its good to know about them, but I wouldnt ever rewatch like goblin or playful kiss, it was a different time back then and i cant let my modern eyes with my modern standards look at it, its too painful. I wish Moon Lovers was included as my favourite drama of all time. (I love that heartbreaking shit) Though another favourite of mine doom at your service was mentioned by you and so i'm happy haha.

I do love these ranking videos. Thank you for your hard work and willingness to take flak for your choices! From my side I have to absolutely back you up on 3 dramas (at least). Abyss was horrible. Just terrible. I tried twice to watch this - trying to figure out what everyone was loving this - and did major skipping and not worth your time. Korean Odyssey (to me) was even worse. Not for I guess and there might be a cultural divide, but I found it childish (in a bad way). As for Hotel de Luna, it was ok....Not the worst, but not nearly the best. It is gratifying to see how many that I haven't seen yet that you like (Goblin, Fight my Way, While you were sleeping, World of the married & more) so looking forward to these. I don't understand the universe where Boys over Flowers is ranked the same as True Beauty and it looks like I like Itaweon Class, Start Up and especially Run On more than you do, but I can live with that. Vive la difference!
