Wow. I didn't even realize that they no longer sell the neon palette. I must have missed that announcement. I guess I'm glad I got it even though I only use it every once in a while.
@@ma-ma-mamary3946 they had it around for about a year and said it was limited edition when it launched. I’m glad they at least had it for a decent amount of time rather than one launch that sold out immediately
I have all the Kaleidos palettes except Neon. I love them all! When I ordered Cyber Bronze, Scyfy Green and Electro Turquoise, it appeared that the package was lost. Kaleidos reshipped and eventually they both showed up. They didn't want me to return them, so.....my granddaughter is getting them for Christmas! Hope she loves them as much as I do!
I have these palettes too, love Kaleidos, I would rank them- 1. Sci-fi green 2. Sashimi city 3. VR neon 4. Astro-pink/Lunar lavender (can't choose.) 6. Electro-turquise 7. Cyber bronze 8. Escape pod
If I hadn't bought each palette with each launch, I'd just buy the entire Futurism bundle (minus the Escape Pod) once it's back in stock, then use the PayPal 4-payment plan. Lol!
Sashimi city is on my christmas present list for this year! Im just more into neutral tones💗 loved this video so I can see how the shades look on the skin and not just in the pan. Those videos are really helpful because I know that brands can kinda fake/ photoshop their swatches so the shades look Unreal, but then you get the pallete and the shadows are fine but for example the pigment is not there. And when you watch those kind of swatch vids you can see how they really preform💗
Oooooh. I have all of these too. The Lunar Lavender was a bit ashy for me. . . LoL. It's still lovely. None of my Kaleidos palettes are the original colour scheme - except for Escape Pod. 😅😂🤣 I rearranged the shades that worked best for me into all the palettes. 😎🤣😊
I love the sashimi pallet it's great for basic everyday out the door looks. It's definitely one of my most used because I use it and so does my 15-year-old daughter and my highlighters they have such awesome highlighters where they use them as highlighters or on your eyelids whatever they're just great some of them are good when you're not really in the mood to go all out with your makeup you could use it as you a one and done on your lid.
I can never decide which palette to get first. But I finally purchased some highlighters from them! Should be getting them in the mail in a week or so. I am excited to try them! Edit: I could watch comparison swatches all day lol something about it is so cathartic! Thank you for doing that! I have a swatch album on my phone cataloging the similar shades/color families that I own. I like the organization 🤷🏽♀️
@@betinad.1244 thanks, it (mostly) keeps me from buying palettes I really don't need. I started it when She's in Parties came out. I loved it so much but swatched all of my comparable shades....and they went from my hand past my elbow! It was very eye opening! Saved some money and didn't feel like I was missing anything! After that, I just decided to do other shades. And girl let me tell you, no one needs any more browns or golds 🤣🤣🤣

The problem with Kaleidos is they have too many palettes with two or more very similar shades in them. Maybe that works for the Escape Pod palette but not the smaller ones! It’s held me back from buying a palette from them
Thank you for doing this. I was just on Kaleidos website trying to decide which 2 (or 3) eyeshadow palettes I might want to bundle to take advantage of their current special price. I knew I really liked the turquoise/orange palette & was debating on the pink one as a possible companion to it. I've wanted the Cyber Bronze for a while but the lavender looks really pretty too. I bought SciFi Green when it first released as a more compact version of Gemini (they don't really compare imo) & wasn't in love with the matte formula or how similar both green shades were but several people said that was the worst palette of the 3 & also suggested setting my primer to help the mattes blend better. Now I've noticed that every palette seems to have 2 shades that are very similar. So...idk...maybe I'll just get a highlighter. It's a 5 pan palette, 2 shades is a lot. But I really do like that turquoise/orange palette...probably have to wait til next year or next sale :) Sorry about the hives. I have similar issues with my skin & my left eye has had some kind of infection/allergic reaction, possibly a stye for a couple weeks now so I haven't been able to wear my contacts or any makeup. Definitely no fun.
The VR Neon and Electro-Turquoise palettes are both discontinued at this point I believe. And Sci-Fi Green is being reformulated in some way to re-release next year. Loved this video and I adore all my Kaleidos palettes!

Love this breakdown super thorough! I agree with you on the astral pink pallet’s black with shimmer. I low key would have preferred a very dark navy blue instead? It would’ve given the depth and played well worth the other colors. But thats just my opinion.
I finally have my first Kaleidos palette, picking it out was the hardest part. (I have tried a highlighter and their eye brushes before, also picked up a Prophecy) I was only getting 1 of the 6 pan palettes, and I can probably dupe half of each one, or at least come close. It is such a strange place to be in as a makeup lover and user! 😆 I eventually went with the Astro Pink, because the Sci Fri green was sold out even though I really don’t need another black eyeshadow.

I have all the smaller, thinner pallets. I got them, in a bundle, on sale. Have only used the astral pink. Can’t wait to use the other ones, especially your favorite, since I am a pink and purple fan.I like the green one as well. A bit afraid of the turquoise one, since I am not a fan of rainbow pallets, but will play with it at home.
I can’t wait to get escape pod, and the lavender , olive green palette!! Prophecy highlight is on the way and I can’t wait to get it in my hands!! Next is diamond dasher, the fair face palette and I can’t wait for the blushes to come back cuz I want to get one for me and one for my mom. She’s old school and she LOVES blush lol I gave her my ND bloom palette and she hit pan on it ! Lol
I only have the lunar lavender one at the moment plus a few of the space age highlighters. But the lunar lavender is just STUNNING. I practically use it everyday. 💜
I just swatched the black shade from the Sci-fi green palette and was shocked! I agree. I wish the matte greens in that palette were just a tiiiny bit different.
Why do brands do that? Put almost identical redundant shades in the same palette? So many of those Kaleidos palettes have a redundant shade. I don’t get it.
I wanted to get all the small palettes but the green has been sold out for months. I’m really bummed that they discontinued the neon palette. I wanted it so bad!
I heard that they are changing the packaging for the AstroPink for 2021 and they will be restocking until then. Maybe that’s why they aren’t restocking the green one
I still need sci fi green, cyber bronze and the two newer ones but they are on my list. Cannot wait to try sashimi. The pink in the neon VR is my favorite pink in my collection. And the green comes off as more of a grass green than neon green on my skin so that was disappointing but I plan on using this with my hank and henry neon bundle I just picked up.

The platinum shade in Astro Pink is my favourite shade of all time and I completely agree with everything you said about that palette. My ranking of the ones I own is: 6. Sashimi City 5. Electro Turquoise 4. Lunar Lavender 3. VR Neon 2. SCIFI green 1. Astro Pink (because of the plum, the blue and the platinum) I need the Escape pod and the Cyber bronze to complete by collection
I don't do my makeup often enough to justify buying another palette, or at least not the gorgeous bright colors, but Sashimi City is calling to me as an every-day work palette. I'm so tempted.
Loved to see your ranking and the swatches... I found kaleidos late in the game and the OCD part of me won’t buy any of the 6 pans because you can’t get all of them collection wise... so I’ve got the escape pod and Angie’s palette only... I would of loved that neon one so much!!! You and beaut beans rankings were similar about these palettes

Of the three that I have, I'd rank them (from favorite to least favorite): 1) VR Neon 2) Electro Turquoise 3) Astro Pink However, all of these palettes have something to offer, just depends on what kind of look I want to create. I'm sad they discontinued the VR Neon for those who want to try it. I wouldn't call it a neon palette, more of a brights, but it's lots of fun and very different from the other palettes in Kaleidos line.

I still love the color story of the sci fi green. I would never pick up the Melt Gemini because it’s too big and expensive for me (also if it’s fragile and might grow mold, it’s a hard pass). But I go back and forth on sci fi green. PS I hope the hives get better soon
I'm so sad the Deep Sea Luster and VR Neon are discontinued :( I just picked up their Turquoise and Escape Pod for Black Friday so I'm so excited to play with those! Next sale definitely getting the Astro Pink,Sci Fi Green and Lavender.
Wow, that totally caught me off guard. All the reviews that I heard on the lunar lavender were just soso. Its the only one I don't own. I wondered if I wouldn't eventually regret that. Eventually meaning now.
I have Lunar Lavender and it is easily the palette I want to reach for the most right now. None of the complaints I heard bore out for me at all; I find it very easy to blend and it's not patchy for me. It is also my first Kaleidos palette so I don't have previous formulas to compare it to, so maybe that's something. I just find it so beautiful and easy to use. I can put together a look with it so quickly and it is always going to look great.
I’m sad about the neon palette being discontinued :( maybe you could do a series of videos duping discontinued palettes with singles? It might help you feel better about missing the Deep Sea Luster palette, and it would help reduce the feeling of FOMO with limited edition releases for us
Amy can you think of a similar formula for the Penthouse shade on the sashimi city palette? I’m in love with that shade bc all the shifts that I can see on it and I would love to try more of that special shades bc I don’t have anything like that in my collection.
Trying to pick between the Electro-Turquoise or purchasing similar singles from Terra Moons. How does the teal and orange compare to the blue and orange shades from the El Barrio palette?
I only have one palette, Sashimi City, and i love it. The only odd thing is that the shadows have a very bad smell that i didn't notice in any other eyeshadow brand. Oh yes, another odd thing is that they often put 2 almost the same shadows in one palette. I don't get that.
I love how their palettes looks but I doubt I will own any of this, because 1) they always have at least one brown in a palette and I hate browns, one brown is already too much for me 2) they almost always has two very similar shades in one palette, like two matte oranges or two green shimmers in Escape pod. Such a shame :(

It's funny how you say that you don't keep the sheets. I'm pretty anal about keeping them. People get some ASMR satisfaction when peeling the plastic films that cover the mirrors in palettes. I make it a point to keep those adhered on the mirror. 🤣
