This was filmed on April 29, 2024, DZ and Luca are out sick, but Jesse, Poc and Corwin are here to be sad about their teams while also trying to predict who is most likely to come back and win their series.
@@hannahb9563good luck tonight, I'm pretty sure Canucks have 100x more fans then Nashville but doesn't give us a advantage, just means more people will be sad if you guys pull off a win.
The Vancouver Canucks are good. One day you’ll have to admit it. Up 3-1 despite losing both of their top goalies, their number 2 center (number 1 starting the year) being a ghost, and missing the net like crazy. This is the Canucks struggling, and we’ve still got what it takes.
@@alistairhenshall9204 I snagged 2 tickets last szn rd 1 game 5 for my dad n I $500 each, ppl around me said they paid $700+ lol, was also like centre ice, middle of section in rows isle seats but in the 300's haha was a steal
But look at who Edm/Van are playing.... Leafs would run through LA and Nashville easily.. Boston is a whole different monster and swayman is playing incredible.
Their discussion really shows that they don't watch the Canucks games. Again, please bring someone who actually watches games from the West to have a more balanced and smart conversation. Please and thank you. Also, when Jesse pretends to understand what Canucks' fan thinks. Why not just ask Canucks fans? Why not just read the comments here since there are actually a lot of Canucks fan here. We are not nervous about game 5. Win or lose, we are just happy to be in the playoffs. No expectations this year.
I'm a Canucks fan and I fully agree with ya. I'm going to the game tonight and I am so excited to feel the energy in the building. No one expected us to make the playoffs let alone almost win the conference. Of all the playoff teams the Canucks are one of the teams that have the least amount of pressure because we are playing with house money. The only teams that are playing with more house money is the Preds, Islanders, and Caps everyone else had expectation either at the beginning of the year or as the year went on they gained expectations, we are just happy to be able to go down South Fraser Way honking our horns celebrating a victory. The way the table is talking as if they the Canucks are the team down 3-1, and btw the Preds have earned my respect. In all honesty I would have rather played the Oilers than the Preds if it was possible just due to the style of play the Preds play. I feel the Canucks are gonna take it tonight and I can only hope the Kings can get 1 more game to give us some rest to hopefully get Demko back earlier.
It's a frustrating thing with a lot of hockey media. So much of the discussion revolves around the East and it's clear a lot of people with hockey podcasts only watch Eastern conference hockey. Always hear the same regurgitated talking points when it comes to western teams on podcasts like this, which anyone who actually watches the teams would know aren't true.
guess what we got 2 more chances to win one more game, also jesse forgot that game 2 should have been a canucks win, So this series could easily been a sweep over it being 3-1 nashville or 2-2
The Canucks deserve some love. I get they've won some games that they were behind for most of the game, but to me that shows that they are resilient. Good playoff teams have to win some greasy games like that.
You can bet if the leafs or jets were up 3-1 after comebacks like the canucks have done they'd be all over them praising them for being resilient and blah blah.
I’m not a Vancouver fan at all but the fact these guys are hating on Vancouver who’s getting it done with a different goalie each game while Hellebuyck is struggling is laughable.
They spent a third of the podcast saying how shit Hellebuyck has been. Jesse spoke at length trashing on his own goalie, his own top forwards not being the same level as other teams, about how it might be time to blow it up cause the ceiling for this group isn't high enough to compete... You've skipped that and got annoyed that they think the team playing their 3rd goalie might have the toughest road to cross the line. They repeatedly say they think all 3-1 teams are going through...
Canucks deserve to be up 3-1 , it’s so funny to see bardown hate on the Canucks💀. Yeah they maxed out at 21 shots but had 70+ shot attempts. It’s hilarious to see leaf’s and jets fans asking if the Canucks are “that good” when they’ve been good all season.
@@christophermorgan9199called look at who they are playing. I cant stand the jets. But if Vancouver was playing like they are this series against the avalanche they also get demolished. Also there predictions were basically right so far. Who were the only teams on here to win game 5. The leafs and the predators lol
I live in Europe and I hope the Canucks win the series and game 5 in that series is happening at 5:50AM tomorrow and I wake up everyday on work days at 6AM, so will watch that tomorrow for me! Also, I like that they had the Lightning in here even though we know that they lost the series.
People who only look at the scoreboard have missed some truly excellent hockey games. A lot of 1 goal wins have led to the 3-1 series but it's just been the way the wins fell. Preds were a couple inches from a 2-2 series, Kings were all over the Oilers in the last game and lost 1-0. Wins and losses don't make it look exciting but it definitely has been
@@davebigman240 what I love is you really have 4 teams, Florida, NYR, Colorado and Edmonton, that are really trying to make it "their year". The 2nd round is gonna be insane!
what a horrible take.. Besides the top 6 how is Toronto a better team, Boston has a much better bottom 6, WAY BETTER DEFENCE AND WAY BETTER GOALTENDING.
No surprise Jesse’s hate for my Canucks hasn’t stopped all year. It’s hilarious that corwin thinks his team can come back from Boston, not a snowflakes chance in hell
Why is it so hard for other Vancouverites like myself to accept that the reason there is disrespect of Vancouver is because of Canuck's History! That doesn't mean Canucks is a not a top team, but it is understandable why it's hard for other fan bases and analysts to accept it. Also, Canucks dodged a bullet in 4th game (it would have been easily 2-2). Outside Dallas vs Vegas, this is the closet series in the west.
Shots on goal don't tell the whole story of the Canucks-Preds matchup. Shot attempts, hits, special teams, puck possesion time, saves, and blocked shots all contribute to it as well. And even if the last game was kinda rough for about 98% of it the canucks showed they had the resilency and grit to battle back and still find a way to win it
Nashville has been playing at their peak and they cant even beat Vancouvers ahl goalie. Nashville is playing great and Vancouver hasnt even really shown up yet for a full game. I cant seen to understand how vancouver keeps getting overlooked.
Jessie as a die-hard Jets fan all the way from Egypt I'm so angry at the Jets performance. I honestly agree with you all the way regarding the Jets in every aspect. Another lost year and damn McKinnon, Makar and co are fire. It feels like we dont care enough and its so frustrating
I think a downside for the leafs is how much they get berated by the media and their own fans. It’s seems to be a repeat cycle. The leafs are usually heavily praised throughout the regular season, then there’s a complete 180 during playoffs. I understand the leafs fans are hella frustrated after being placed in a similar situation for so many years, but this kind of bad attention isn’t really good for anyone.
To be fair about the Jet's top players, Rick Bowness' system has historically also kind of smothered scoring, specifically at the top end. In Dallas, people were calling to move Benn and Seguin and then suddenly under PDB they're returning to form.
How are the Leafs not 5 or 6? Sure they have offensive fire power, but their effort on Saturday looked like a team that's given up. Also have only scored 3 goals in a playoff game once in the last 12
The conversation of depth versus superstar talent is hard to have because you can’t just go get superstars if you want, and some teams with superstars also have depth.
Strictly cause of the 4 guys. Other than that the leafs line up is trash. Shit d shit tendys shit bottom 6. Bruins don’t have the 4 superstars but pastrnak is just as dynamic as any of them and Marchand just gets it as well as being skilled. Bruins are better everywhere except for having 3 highly skilled players.
@mcj44 I'm just saying, even on paper. I dont see the leafs better then the bruins, and im a leafs fan, and I hated this match up. I wanted to believe and had hope up until that JVR goal.
@@righteoussmoke5252 ya I don’t think the leafs on paper are either. I think the top guys cloud the rest of the team. Sure those guys should be able to carry a team but they’ve literally never been able to. I’m a bruins fan and I’m not confident yet tho till it’s over.
That's absolutely bs. Canucks are good! If your teams are losing it means your predictions were never correct (will probably not be correct going forward). The sunglasses guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Why is TSN putting these amateurs on their channel, it'll decrease their credibility. Please get people who actually know what there talking about not some random dudes
@@leogiancola8925 yeah I know and maybe stone but the way they are talking in this video they are talking like you need like a top 10 player and a top 20 or 30 superstar to win a cup. I definitely know eichel is amazing I just didn't know if this team fit what they were saying but I could be wrong here
Canucks also need scoring from their bottom lines, they’ve gotten decent enough goaltending and good defence but with boeser, Miller, and Hughes are the only ones producing goals they aren’t going to get far.
It's not "stop crying and shoot the puck".. it definitely was "Stop f***in crying bro, this is the f***in issue, guys always pissed about sh*t.." I'm quoting Next Man Up here..
The Jets outclass the Avs in net, on paper. There is a version of this series where Hellebuyck plays to his contract and you have Avs fans wondering if you need an elite goalie to get anywhere, and their last cup was an aberration
Toronto has a better roster than Boston? ... sure if you only compare top 6. But Boston's Goalie, Defense and bottom 6 absolutely wrecks Toronto. So objectively 3/4 of Boston's roster is superior.
@Tyekiller115 their bottom 6 is, and the defensive game of their forwards is significantly better. Next year they have 21M+ in cap space and they'll be able to sign/trade for a big #1 center, they'll be able to make a real run for the cup. They're not winning anything this year but they won't be an easy out.
The problem with saying " our team had on of the best defenses this year" is that is a measure of your defense vs. a cross section of the entire league..it does not mean you have one of the best defenses against an elite offense...Both the Jets D and goaltender Hellebuyck are not elite when playing versus elite teams...Hellebuyck is great at hiding his flaws until he meets an elite team in a playoff series. Oilers are also good at hiding their defensive woes -having a strong defensive game against L.A does NOT show they can win in more ways than one against ANY other team. This is the mistake you are making in your analysis right now. Evan Bouchard played one solid defensive game against L.A. The moment he plays an elite team he's back on the MOON.
Jonathon Quick had one of the best goaltending performances in L.A's first Cup...then he had one of the statistically worst goaltending performances in his second Cup. Kings won the 2nd cup because they were the best puck possession team in the league. But even in the first Cup, as great as he was, he got too much credit for the team's success. That's true of many Conn Smythe winning goalies, including Patrick Roy in 1986.
You guys don't meaningfully discuss Vancouver at all. For those who say "Vancouver is an afterthought", you do discuss Toronto a lot. Canucks underrepresented, but I did enjoy the commentary.
I think the Isles are the most likely to come back, if they can win one more, they may just suck the life right out of the Canes. I don't think they will, but I'd say like 30% chance for the Isles, 25% for the Preds, and then like 5% for each other remaining 1-3 team.
As a Canucks Fan, that miss by sissons to make it 4-1 was literally unbelievable, everyone thought it would go in but ping … off the post, and he chocked that win way for the preds, he wasn’t aware of it until the end of the period … boeser scoring 2 goals in less than 3 minutes to tie up the game was insane, and then lindholm with the comeback goal to win 4-3 and go up 3-1 was probably one of the best moments in playoff history I would say …. I know Silovs is starting tonight because Demko is out, Desmith is like week to week or day to day, but if literally Vancouver does pull it off tonight in game 5, Nashville has no shot, I’m not doubting they will score but to win tonight is going to be tough, may the best team win but, I’d place my bets on Vancouver because they are the Dark Horse team in the Playoffs this year
i think this guy missed jesses point, the jets top talent is nowhere near colorados, doesnt mean you have to pay said guys 12.5 mil each not all teams top end talent is paid that much and dont use the leafs top talent as the bench mark lol
It’s hilarious how much these guys trash the Canucks and totally disregard us. We played our worst game all season on Sunday and still rallied and won. Nashville isn’t beating Van on their worst night, they’re surely not forcing 7 when the Canucks have a chance to close out a series in front of their home crowd for the first time in 13 years
Jets coach is the problem. To worried about countering avalanche offense it has taken all the jets offense creativeness out of the game making a shakey goalie find his game. The jets are so afraid of the avalanche counter attacks for good reason but they have lost the style of play because of it.
i'll usually sit and still support the leafs till the end every game but saturdays game I just had to go to bed halfway through the 2nd, just a clown show if they passed w urgency and even just shot for a mf rebound holy this series could possibly be a different story. But there is no way these boys come back w the PP/PK stats alone, it is really sad coming from this core 4 but I think Marners time is up in Toronto, can easily get 2 great players to fill Marners contract & say goodbye to tavares next year unless he signs for no more than 5 mill
Boston were #5 in GA/G and #14 in GF/G. Toronto were #21 in GA/G and #2 in GF/G. This narrative that Toronto is the stronger team going into the series is bullshit. They're better offensively, yes. There's more to hockey than that. Things tighten up in the playoffs. The ability to defend and maintain a structure gets magnified. The B's trash them in leadership, goaltending and work ethic too.Look at Marchand in this series compared to Tavares. The dude is mobilizing his team like they're at war. And he backs it up with his own play.
On paper.. Toronto should've walked trough Boston.. But 1. Toronto guys are just children with a lot of money and no discipline 2. Boston don't have a lot of high end guys like Pasta, but they FIGHT.. Look at Heinen, Frederic, Lohrei, geekie.. And Boston literally have the best goalie duo in the world. I think it's possible for Boston to get so far as the SC finals, but I don't see them winning, but I think they can get to conference finals and I wouldn't be surprised
Watching this 5 hrs after posted and Tampas already out 🤣🤣. Hating on the canucks too as per usual every time I watch they can’t give Vancouver any chances. Even when we came back in game 4 and won it in OT, sure it was all Brock the rock but at least are guys are wanting to show up and play unlike Toronto 🤣
