Drake is the most versatile artist in the industry right now tho. Both him and Kanye. If you look at all the different types/genres of music Drake makes its insane. And every single one is a massive hit. He doesnt just make rap hits, he makes drill hits, dancehall, grime. If we're talking about "full package" the discussion is really only between Kanye and Drake and who you like more. Both are the best artists of the last 10 years or so

Kendrick not being in the first tier is simply because a lot of people find his music boring. They don't want to hear some BS political sob story. Thats why most people prefer Kanye and Drake compared to J Cole and Kendrick. Kanye and Drake CAN be deep but at the same time they know how to make massive hits that are catchy. J Cole and Kendrick arent versatile like that

Then again if you’re going to make a tier list and you’re a casual I could understand a few being misplaced but this wasn’t the average list to the hip hop follower, and to some degree it’s excusable but in this realm it’s being nit picky because you have to as the latter, otherwise it’s less for more and this dickhead loved to place “consumability” as a measure which doesn’t account for level of success in their work.
