I've been informed that I accidentally used a picture of Levi Ackerman to represent Eren Yeager instead of the actual character. I've been staring at these two side-by-side for 15 minutes now, and I'm still not sure if I've actually made a mistake. - Cody
1:45:04 I don't explain my point about the gas station scene very well here. It's an incredible scene, and yes, it does reinforce that Anton is a psychopathic killer. However there are a dozen other scenes that reinforce this while also showing him interacting with more important characters or advancing the plot. If the scene never existed, i dont think it changes the story or how we view the character. EDIT: Having thought about it some more, the scene IS important for Anton's character development because it introduces his reverence towards fate. To him, the result of the coin toss is not random but destined, and he is merely carrying out predetermined actions. That's my take at least.
