I usually use magnesium bisglycinate powder, and I mix it with taurine and malic acid powders, which seems to be a good combination for recovery and detoxification
I make my own blend with Mg Taurate, Bis-Glycinate, Threonate, Malate, Lactate, Citrate, Orotate, Sucrosomial and spread it out throughout the day and top it off with one dose of micronized magnesium. Also take Celtic sea salt with various forms of potassium and trace minerals along with P5P B6 vitamin. Keeps my energy high throughout the day.
Magnesium glycinate reduces (most of the time completely prevents) my nightime leg and feet cramps better than citrate or threonate. Taurate and malate I've not tried.
I prefer magnesium glycinate. What is your opinion on phenylethylamine (PEA) for boosting mood? Dangerous long term, or no problem because of very short half life?
The best magnesium is magnesium bisglycinate ie no symptoms to body. Cacao is packed with magnesium ie organic. Magnesium sterate has not been tested and they put this in many supplements so avoid at all costs.
I use malate during the day, glycinate and taurate at night. But, I also use a zinc supplement at night along side them, mostly for lowering cortisol and elevating testosterone at night. You mention zinc and magnesium being antagonistic{?} , so I am wondering if I should not be taking them together at night. What say you Lucas?
@@BoostYourBiology Thanks for the reply. Good to know. I noticed when I started using zinc at night that I had more morning wood events, so I feel it is doing something.
I've been consuming (orally) magnesium chloride (99.99% purity) for years and It works just as any other magnesium supplement for me. Tried topical methods too but it's just not for me. Iitchy etc :D For oral consumption I take 85g of magnesium chloride and add enough water so the solution is 100 ml. Then 1 ml = 100 mg magnesium.
@@BoostYourBiology Yes I also take other amino acids and methylated B complex daily my body has changed completely from i was 11 months ago for a 58 year old feel great, life is good.
Do you know that glycine, taurine, collagen and some others are severely lacking in today's diets? I improved so much after starting to eat organs and more nose to tail. And these supps
As you see these are not lacking. It's matter of choice. People eat heavily processed food and don't go for stuff like you said. I eat a lot of offal and make my own bone broth.
Magnesium Aspartate will help move the calcium out of the blood & put back into the bones. So why wouldn’t you touch it? Instead of taking calcium supplements which makes things worse magnesium aspartate will fix this.
No, it helps regulate zinc, but too much zinc hinders magnesium. People who use too much zinc for too long time( even like 15mg a day ), "a lot of time" have a bad time supplementing magnesium. it makes them feel weak and exhausted because it can upregulate zinc even more and hinder copper/iron metabolism. Those people also wake up a lot of times during the night, get food sensitivies and start having libido and energie problems..Zinc is NOT something you want to take every day and i don't care what others say who take it every day and have no problems.. There will be a time a lot of them will run into problems, even if it takes years. Ofcourse then they claim it's never the zinc because they take that for such a long time without problems..
