Surya has snuck up on me tbh he was kind of an afterthought before the game released but since playing, it feels like my character would really need someone in their corner who's also new, what with a lot of the villagers being hostile when you first arrive. Probably gonna marry Chaem or Millie but date him for a hot second, and stay besties afterwards if the game permits
100%. I hadn’t even considered him before playing but now he feels like one of the characters that is really there for the farmer and understands them! Also his blushing face is super cute 😍

Initially I was all for her but seriously, how can you constantly tell me you try to eat fruit every day and then hate whenever I give you fruit… like if you want chocolate, just say it. But nooooo she doesn’t even want chocolate, she wants like pink diamonds… and the moon while I’m at it.
Eva is actually Indonesian. The shirt she wears, the pattern is a signature batik from Java island. She also mentioned her grandparents when she was talking about Kue Lapis (another signature Indonesian snack) for her entry for Game of Cones.
I still can't decide - with my love for books, I'm leaning towards Millie. While my love for photography, leans towards Macy! Thanks for creating all of this content while you are away on vacay. Can't wait until you are back and streaming again.

This video is so old, and I just started playing coral island a couple of weeks ago, but I loooooooove this game, and I’m so glad I found your channel! The non spoiler tips are a life saver! Lol also, Mark is my fave. I can make him love me!
Ben is a tough one. I don't find him physically attractive at all, and his healing crystal vibes are honestly annoying. But he is so kind to Fun Bucket. How can you not fall for a guy who loves his animals so much? Millie is my girl. 100% this is who I am marrying. I love everything about her, but being a bookworm myself, OF COURSE I'm marrying the librarian. There's something about Pablo that makes me deeply uncomfortable. I don't know what it is, but I don't like being around him at all. Rafael is one I completely reversed on. When saw his artwork I thought 'here's just another hunk, boring' and I barely gave him a second thought. But after playing, he's so shy, and sweet, and I couldn't help just want to hug him and help him with anything he needed. He might be a marriage candidate in another save where I don't marry Millie. 100% I'll be his "excuse me, waiter, he asked for no tomato" for him.
I know!! The whole Funbucket dynamic GETS ME! Millie is beyond sweet!! She's an excellent marriage pick!! I'm changed my mind SO many times about Pablo and I just don't know anymore And I LOVE that dynamic Raf is so sweet.
Theo will be my first husband. I decided that since day one. Following him will be Wakuu, Pablo, and maybe Scott. I'd love to be besties with Leah, Eva, Macy and Luke.
It's so hard to pick because everyone is so attractive and I know I'm gonna be invested in all of them but Raf and Mark are my current top two, followed by Surya, Kenny and Scott... probably in that order, we'll see how their stories shape up but currently those are my top five. If I had to pick a girl though it'd probably be Lily, I feel like she's the one I can relate to the most out of all of them.

I was hoping that you were going to tell us what these characters do after marriage, ie, do they actually help you in any way on the farm, do they take you out for dinner that kind of stuff. I don’t know anything about the day to day changes that happen and want t add that knowledge to the attraction, respect, fun aspects of each one before I plump for a game spouse!
So I don't know if anyone else has picked up on this at all, but the way Mark talks and behaves comes off as some kind of neuro-divergent to me. Even though hes stand offish and awkward, it may be something he struggles with socially and that endears him to me more. :)
Luke is okay, but a Mummy's boy. You do need to accept that Bree's wishes will come first. If you're okay with that he's okay (as long as you have some ambition and drive for your own work).
I really like Lilly and Yuri a lot, but I still don't know the characters that well. So it can very possibly change when I get further in the game and the character stories.
I am personally drawn to Raphael in the game. I talk to him every morning while he cleans the tombstones. Naturally though, Slacker Ben is the one that feels like a stalker to me lol
Okay after playing this game for almost a month now (I am still in Fall), I can say so far my husbando is Theo lol. I am sucker for musicians under certain circumstances and while normally I am not attracted to Asian guys, he just caught my attention with his smile and yeah, his muscles lol. And I just experienced his first heart event too, so yeah I am hooked (no pun intended).
Suki, Chaem and Zarah are all marriage material for me. Leah goes in the Attractive but. All males can only hope to reach bestie category. I have yet to meet Nina yet but you got me interested.
At first I was all for Wakuu since I find him cute and all. Then Theo since I find his cheesy lyrics really really CUTE. Then Nina came along.... I LOOVVEEE HER SO MUCHIE. Pls marry me, pls accept my yogurt offering. I'm also actually thinking about Lily since I find her adorable but Nina, tsk tsk, nobody's going to beat her anytime soon.
raj is my nina lol. loml, im obsessed with them ❤️ other than raj lol some of my faves (currently) are probably lily, pablo, millie, noah....... i mean they're all attractive lol but they're prob at the top. raj is #1 tho, so gorgeous and sweet, could listen to them infodump about coffee all day every day 😂 (also very intrigued by the merfolk.... 👀)
Has the developer indicated that as you level up the friendship with each character, at a certain heart level does that friendship then morph to a more personal loving relationship with them and if it does, can you obtain that same level with multiple NPC's at that point? To me that has been the one drawback for most games that allow relationships. There is no repercussions for wooing multiple potential partners at the same time. In this case, taking place on a small island, if one were to be doing so I would think word might get around easier that this was the case and you'd really receive some kickback from NPC's finding out word of mouth you were not in a monogamous relationship with them and more than likely kick that same partner to the curb. Or will Coral Island allow all friendships to proceed to say an 8th heart level with any of the romanceable NPC's before it then becomes more of the love type beyond that point kind of like how the Harvest Moon franchise handles it and only allow you to pursue beyond that 8th heart level with a single partner at that point?
@@freyafrettchen3808 Gift them a certain item that once given changes the relationship from that of just friendship to that of romantic? Yeah, not too keen on that either tbh as that is the easy way out for the game developer, in my eyes. Not all partners will see the same gift as each other, even if just a promise ring or something similar. Tbh, I don’t like how almost all social sims have the same stage for the NPC’s reach a certain friendship level where it then becomes possible to change it to a romance afterwards. Would rather prefer the friendship level transitioning to romantic level be randomly generated every game upon start-up so that it’s not always the same for every character every single game.
@@mbuckley3828 Well they could just call it a "tradition". Also, they could perhaps orientate themselves at Rune Factory, where the chances, that people will accept confessions, go up with more hearts, but doesn't guarantee it. So you could still be rejected romantically by someone with 7-8 hearts, but you could also be accepted by someone else with 5 hearts. That'd be interesting.
@@freyafrettchen3808 Is that how the Rune Factory series is handling it now? I guess that is a somewhat different way than most are handling it which makes it unique. I still think it being randomized upon game start-up, one game Nina may not accept her friendship to relationship change item until 8 hearts, Ben at 7 hearts, Alice at 6 hearts that game. Start a new game at Nina will now accept it 6 hearts, Ben at 5 hearts, and Alice at 8 hearts this go around. Maybe a percentage chance of them declining it as well factoring in like you brought up previously too? Just something so that it changes the relationship aspect of the game up in subsequent play through should you decide to play it through more than once. Just like irl, some people become more romantically involved much sooner than others and would like to see a way this be implemented somehow in games where social relationships are a part of the game better than most games implement it still these days, for the most part.
The first time I saw Ben playing with one of the ducks on the ranch, I knew he was a candidate for either bestie or marriage--depends on what else I find out about him. Millie is def. bestie material, as is Eva. I agree that Scott is an overgrown frat boy, but he might improve with more hearts. Not marriage material, though. I want to know Charles' story before I decide if he's marriage material. I also agree that Surya seems a bit...young. Very wide-eyed and innocent. So far, not marriage material. I want to know if there is more to Raj than coffee! Pablo? Don't know yet. But I am very much annoyed with one particular repeating bit of convo--even though I'm not actually bumping into him. Luke? I am favorably inclined, but need to know more. Raphael...might be too much of a teddy bear. Mark is grumpy, but not offensively so. But he needs more dialogue.
AJ!! I enjoyed reading your thoughts on the characters SO much. I really appreciate you sharing I LOVE Ben's relationship with Fun Bucket, and I just need to establish a better idea of who he truly is!!
