Were they the worst team because they actually just sucked or, were they the worst team because they had just been mismanaged? The Buccaneers sucked before Brady showed up but, it wasn’t from a lack of quality throughout the roster. It was just mismanaged and bad QB play.

The first year Taylor was there they completely remade the defense through free agency. Brought in Hendrickson, von bell, Awuzie, bj hill in a trade, First draft with Taylor they took Burrow, Higgins, Logan Wilson. Next years draft got chase and cam Taylor Britt

C'mon man...Taylor also had the number 1 overall pick one year and a top ten pick the next to get Burrow and Jamar Chase....also the Bengals' owner finally stopped being cheap and spent some of the 80mil 😂 that he was sitting on...Zac Taylor did nothing but be a good OC....chill with the hyperbole on Taylor's "rise" 😂

He is still a good coach, though. The guy never has had a losing season, and with his offenses being so bad and predictable the past few years, that is saying a lot. Is he belicheck? No, but he is still a good coach and a good motivator

LaFleur inherited a consistent team with one of the best QBs of all time, MCDC was given a bottom 3 team with Jared Goff. Both are good but Detroit is a historically awful franchise that turned around completely, the Packers are a good organization and made a smart hire that revitalized the team, but are always good.

Packers have been solidly consistent, MCDC took what was arguably the worst team in the league in the Lions and turned them into Super Bowl contenders in 3 years. The Lions improved under Campbell every year so far - you can't say the same for LaFleur

Pretty Reasonable tbh. Campbell started with the worst roster in the NFL and made it to the NFC championship in 3 years. Lafleur inherited a solid roster with an MVP QB and made it to the exact same place Campbell did.

Shanahan is a great coach with an amazing team. McVay is an amazing coach with a great team. I love the Rams but if McVay had all the weapons that the 9ers do, he'd probably have 2 or 3 rings by now.

Todd Gurley - CMC Everett/Higbee - Kittle Kupp-Woods-Cooks/ Deebo-Aiyuk Whitworth-Trent Williams McVay failed to win a SB with weapons that are very comparable to the Niners. And he didn’t win until he got a QB. He also had an equally comparable defense probably even better defensive personnel. His front 4 was better than what the Niners have now. Edge at linebacker for the 49ers. But a better secondary for the Rams. I imagine when Shanahan gets a QB of Staffords caliber he will win a SB. Whether Purdy is that guy is hard to tell. This will be his second full season. Too early for that talk.

Everyone said MLF was carried by Rodgers when he had multiple 13 win seasons now he has a bunch of rookies and a first year starting qb and takes them to the playoffs with all the injuries and miscues. Stomps on Dallas and had the Niners beat at home. Dan Campbell is the reason for the Lions success but as well as his terrible decisions have been their downfall. One good season from Campbell and the Lions and everyone thinks the Lions are gonna be a wagon from here on out. Can’t see it

LeFluke is 2-4 against MCDC.

Penei Sewell, St Brown, Gibbs, Williams…all drafted with Dan Campbell as the head coach. Maybe he just knows how to develop players too. He is also 4-2 against Lafleur, 3-1 as an underdog. The Packers team was not much different last year than the year before. The only obvious difference was Love for Rodgers, which on the surface seems big, but then you dig just a little bit, and you see that Rodgers was a bottom 8 starting QB the last season in GB. Love wasn’t replacing an MVP. He was replacing a guy who was not good. The comeback GB had at the end of ‘22 winning 4 in a row before Detroit bounced them week 18 had nothing to do with the play of Rodgers. So where you see some magical performance by Lafleur, I see a team that was 1 game better than the year before with a lot of the same roster and better QB play.

This is a fair take.

I live in SF and Harbaugh had a lot of issues with relationships. It started out one way and ended differently. He was effective and made tough calls that worked out. As a guy who used to watch him play qb i’d like to see a less quirky/more wise Jim have success.

The Lions core players, except Goff & Anzolone, are very young as well. Last I checked Lions players dominate the top under 25 players lists. MCDC is a great developer of players. Goff & Anzolone have resurrected their careers.

Shanahan deserves to be #1 rn in the division, he’s taken his team to 4 nfc championships and 2 SBs. I just wish they would have expanded on AZ and Sea cause the NFC west is going to be loaded once again.

McVay pulled off the win in Stafford's first year with the team and with a safety brought back after two years in retirement. that's pulling it off against the odds, compared to the guy that couldn't do it with a stacked team.
