New Era #LAMAR4MVP that’s just a stupid statement though. Picking the worst example of a whole who one the Super Bowl recently. Can he compete with mahomes?
@@samrosendahl392 he is lucky the bears are 4-1 >, spite of him . The owner is 97 years old and her sons are incompetent which explains why he still is hired.
Falcons is absolutely the best hot seat job in the NFL. Defense with tons of potential and an absolutely loaded offensive roster. I think if bienemy was hired and he hired a guy like Wade Phillips or Jack Del Rio to take over the defensive side of the ball, the NFC south would be REALLY competitive
If you look at the future of the NFC South too, it’s very enticing if you’re looking at the Falcons for a job. Tom Brady won’t be with Tampa for more than 2 years probably. Drew Brees is likely in his last year already. You might have to worry about the Panthers if they draft one of the top QBs but you can’t quantify that when Atlanta’s coaching position is open. There is a window opening for the Falcons to take over the NFC South
The problem with Atlanta is the cap space. Then again, does cap space even exist? If you argument is the mahomes contract showing cap space doesn't exist, don't think so fast. As Matt Ryan is getting paid more than Patrick Mahomes for the next short while, significantly more. 40 million cap hit, compared to 25 million for mahomes in 2021. Then 41, compared to 31 in 2022. Then about the same in 2023 Now, Deshaun's is similar situation as mahomes, 15 million in 2021 and 40 million in 22. Texans have 6 million in the red for 2021, falcons have 24 million in the red. (And if you consider the fact that that's not even effective cap space, you're actually looking at 14 and 37 million, once everyone is resigned) That's gonna be hard for the falcons to dig their way out of. Plus, the texans situation has the benefit of having the chance to bring your own GM in as well. And, Atlanta is extremely talented on the top end but is not a very solidly built team. A few injuries and it's over. (Compare this to better built teams like the pats or 49'ers, who seem to be winning with their practice squad) In a plus to Atlanta though, they've got these things called draft picks. Houston doesn't seem to understand what those are, as they've gotten rid of their first and second in 2021. (Bill O'Brien is a hack as a coach and a GM, whaddaya know) Both teams have flaws but I'd rather be in the houston situation. With atlanta, it's win now, win big, because even if 40 isn't death to Matt Ryan, Julio Jones can only stay truly great for so long. You might have to cut a few people, you're dealing with a GM who isn't your and you've got expectations that can be killed with one two injuries to key players. With Texans, you've got time with Watson, you've got a more well rounded team that has a bit more space for cap fuckery to add some pieces.
Jets suck. However, the GM doesn’t seem incompetent, a coach will be able to come in and build a roster in any way they want with tons of picks and cap space. Hypothetically, if the Jets land the first overall pick, the coach can make the decision between Sam Darnold and Trevor Lawrence. Great young quarterbacks you can develop, picks and cap space has to be worth something, right?
Ryan Staiger but with a pic 6 though that’s potentially the first time I don’t know the stats but that is just bad I’m a Bills fan and a part of me want Adam to be fired but another part of me wants easier wins
I think it’s hard to assess the quality of the jets job until Gase is gone. Players the leave hate him. Not the organization. So it’s hard to asses while he’s still there.
That and they have a new gm who is already in rebuild mode with a ton of draft capital. Granted he isn't proven yet but I'd argue that would be the biggest problem with the Houston job. There will be very little new quality talent coming in that door the next few years (THANKS BOB)
Whichever coach and quarterback combo manages to rebuild the Jets properly will be NYC Legends for ever and will never pay for a drink or meal in the city again.
GunsnRosesfan2012 me too I like him as a person he showed great personality in hard knocks very likeable guy. Unfortunate with his play calling and injuries our season isn’t going as planned.
He may be on the so called "hot seat" but idt he will get fired this season. We finally have a good GM and I think he believes in Lynn, not to mention, as usual, we have the most significant injuries in the league
No way would I get rid of a great talent in Stafford just because the coincidence of the failures around him that are not his fault just look at the Patricia rebuild. Also no one has expectations for the Lions even with Stafford is in good 9-7 playoff teams
The Jaguars, Texans, & LA Chargers are the 3 best job opportunities available for new head coaches heading into 2021. I wouldn’t touch the Jets if I was a new head coach
Lol you forgot if someone take the jet hc, they have to deal with the pat twice a season and billecheck will outcoached and make them look horrible . I think Dane Quinn will be hc of the jet if he get fired by the falcon ,cause Matt Flynn and bill O'Reilly know how bad the jet is form being under billecheck
Yeah, dude is WAY too infatuated with DeShawn Watson. No 1st or 2nd round pick after having a disaster season and not a lot of cap space due to a couple of huge contracts spells a LONG rebuild.
Drip Skylark He posted on instagram that once covid ended, he would start his own flag football league in the Portland/Washington area. I am eagerly awaiting the day that happens.
I think your assessment on Matthew Stafford is wrong... Under Caldwell he thrived the team went from being a trendy team with Jim Schwartz to postseason contender with Jim Caldwell... the downfall of the lions now falls on Bob Quinn for not Adequately looking for a potential winning head coach to take the lions to the next step from being that 11-5 to 9-7 wildcard team to a 12-4 to 14-2 superbowl contender.. I can assure you. No other QB would of stay nore competed like Stafford has in Detroit..
Lions job should be somewhat appealing. Any coach with an offensive mind should be able to shine with Golladay, Hockinson, Swift and a solid O line. Plus a lot of cap space and either a new qb with ur top 10 pick or stafford
Zach the HC job for Texans is only appealing cause of Watson they don’t have any picks and are really missing talent. What about Jags HC it’s hot and has two first round picks??
We have a new GM in place who looks like the real deal, One of the biggest cap spaces next year, one of the first picks next year (prob 1st), and one of the biggest markets. Since Belichick turned us down we improved under Edwards then Mangini and Ryan. Proceeded to have an AFC challenging team so to say we were a dumpster fire is a strawman arguement and makes you look like a hater or lacking in knowledge, even if you say you aren't. Plus even though the management seem to be morons they have given Gase 2 years in the job even though he has been horrendous.
Why are people so high on Bieniemy? Did they not learn their lesson with Matt Nagy? Bieniemy is the Chiefs offensive coordinator in the same way Matt Patricia was the Patriots defensive coordinator. He's not. Just like Belichick always had control of the Patriots defense Andy Reid had control of the Chiefs offense. Bieniemy is offensive coordinator in name only and unless he did really well in his interviews I wouldn't even bother touching him.
Bill Belichick had accepted an offer to be the New England head coach before he resigned from the jets. he also took extra money from a dying owner (leon hess RIP) as a promise that he would stay. he was being groomed by parcells. so get your facts right before you start spouting off about his great decision making
I think detroit is the best job. They are the closest to a complete team, and have the most draft capital moving forward. The texans need basically everything but qb and have like no 1st round draft picks, and atlanta is similar.
The Lions job is actually more attractive than you think. They have nice young pieces but no stars and more than likely your going to be going in with your own general manager. Also you can decide whether you can be competitive or completely tear it down by trading Stafford and like Zach said if you tear it down ownership will be patient. Not to mention the expectation are so low over there than unless your just a unlikeable guy like Patricia you won’t get as much flack if you fail
Your Bill Belichick analogy was a little flawed, He never took the job per say, he already had the Patriots job offer in his inbox and was fully prepared to take it before the jets lumped him with the HC role (partially to try stop him from leaving). It's not like he refused the job in hopes of a better one, he already had a better job available
The Jets job is definitely the worst right now, however, GM Joe Douglas has a great reputation, ownership is showing patience holding on to Gase, you have job security in the sense that everyone will look better than Gase. You also have cap space and draft picks to get your desired type of roster and can pick between multiple talented options at QB. It is bad now but maybe not as bad as people think either, especially if Joe Douglas is allowed to run the show long term rather than ownership.
btw you have any news on defensive back coach Kris Richard? couple years ago cowboys fans were talking about him taking over for Jason Garrett wonder where he's at now
I'd agree with that order. But one problem with the Texans is that they traded away Hopkins for David Johnson, so Deshaun doesn't have many weapons right now and his new contract (which he does deserve) won't help. The Jets are badly run and that begins with the people hiring the coach and GM. When you hear about bad owners, Woody and Christopher Johnson are not names that immediately spring to mind like James Dolan does with the Knicks or the Ford Family with the Lions. I guess they stay out of the spotlight.
over half the video is talking about how bad the jets organization is 😂 but understandable all the other positions have much more in store for them then that one. maybe thats why they haven't fired Adam gase cant find anyone to take over so might as well ride it out 😂
I'm sure just about every comment adds their team's coach to the list, but it's about time the Vikings got Zimmer out of there. He has made some of the worst decisions as a coach, especially in terms of personnel, that I have ever, ever seen. Always throwing away talent and passion in exchange for mindless loyalty. And at that, loyalty to a system that doesn't work.
Another big upside to Bieniemy to the Texans is that his experience drafting plays for Mahomes is immediately transferable to Watson with little adjustment needed. He’ll be moving to a playstyle more in line with what he already knows
martypython exactly, no amount of KC coaches is going to make Houston into KC Given that most head coaches are failures, any team would be lucky to have gone to the playoffs the amount of times Bill O’Brien has
At this point we might as well bring Rex back. He at least genuinely care's about the team and it's fans...He'd also whip that defense into shape. It's miles better than the heap of mess Idzik gave him in his final years.
Mexican business mogul Carlos Slim once said; "Sometimes with some buisness, the best buisness is to not make that business at all". That sums up perfectly the Jets situation & what u were explaining about belichick & anyone looking to coach the jets.
Problem with Texans is that even if they do fire BOB, the front office most likely won’t go searching for the GM/coach themselves and will hire some random search firm again. The owner isn’t committed to this team winning and it’s most likely going to stay like that until they get a new ownership
Weird is see Watson as kind of mediocre passer now without hopkins. Maybe i am only one? I mean hopkins sure making murray look better than i think he is too. I mean if sam darnold was on these teams he would have similiar stats as those guys and he doesn't seem amazing either. Like joe Burrow rookie crap offensive line and wrs and he still looks amazingly special watching him compared to those QBs i mentioned. Strange I'm only one noticing this?
Bobby McGee burrow is going down in flames, the only thing he has is that he is new and doesn’t have a lot of NFL tape on him but he is getting exposed fast
Watson played a chiefs D that just shut down Lamar Jackson, a Ravens D that is bare minimum top 10 in the league, and arguably the best defense in the league in the Pittsburgh Steelers. Starting this week, Watson is going to go on a tear going into the bye. The Texans miss Hopkins, but Watson is elite and Fuller, Cooks, Stills, Cobb, and David Johnson are all useful weapons.
SMP 1993 Zac doesn’t understand that the Texans have a historically hard start to a season for any NFL team. Dude is becoming Steven A Smith with his bad takes
