Well there are 3 TOP songs on AOR album: Hellrider (probably my 3nd fav intro of all times), Angel and Worth Fighting for but Lochness? Well my father who likes Iron Maiden praises that too but states it is not even close to Rime of the Ancient Mariner ha ha

Hey Ralph, did you know Sad Wings was printed backwards? Meaning… Play side B first then Side A. Album opens w Prelude and track list makes way more sense and tells a concept. Mind blown! Also, can’t trust anyone who’s favorite album is Painkiller

Yeah, I first heard a snippet of the title track Painkiller when I played Guitar Hero Van Halen in the tracklist menu, and I ABSOLUTELY HATED IT, it was WAY TOO THRASH, seriously I never liked the direction Priest went after the 80's, although to be brutally honest Priest kinda blew their load after Defenders, and I personally don't care for that album, I much prefer their 70's output, even British Steel, SFV, and a few tracks off POE, but yeah, personally Priest as of late has lost alot for me, so that's why I stick with the REAL OLD SCHOOL Priest.

Huge fan of Point of Entry. I'm thinking I was 14 or 15 when it came out and I gotta say I loved You Say Yes. It is so catchy. I still like it but Turning Circles is now my favorite. Like you though, I play it all the way through. I have a hard time naming my favorite but it's probably either Stained Class or Hell Bent For Leather.

Gotta chime in since JudasPriest is always in my top 5 bands. My top five studio albums are as follows: 5. British Steel 4. Screaming for Vengeance 3. Sin After Sin 2. Defenders of the Faith 1. Hell Bent for Leather The live albums are awesome as well and would definitely put ‘Unleashed in the East’ number one. Then ‘Priest…Live’ and ‘Battle Cry’ coming in third. As far as the Tim “Ripper” Owens albums I enjoy ‘Jugulator’ and the live album which the title I can’t recall at the moment. Great video Ralph! Shmackamagobbb🤘🏼

I saw my first Priest concert in 1980, I was 15. My first LP was "Hell Bent for Leather" it was at that point as a kid I knew I was going to be Metal for life. I have seen Priest live at least 20 times and have never seen a bad show. Iv'e had the chance to meet some of the band and hang out back stage thru my friend who was a guitarist in Rob's band "FIGHT". Not much i would change about your list, "British Steel" would be a bit lower on my list.

It's tough for me rank Judas priest albums. I got recently Killing Machine 2017 reiseue listened to it about 2 weeks ago.Still got Evening Star and other songs off the album playing in my head. I want get British Steel on vinyl. I love the twists & turns of the older albums. And I used to ride my exercise bike to the whole Point of Entry tape. And Motley Crue too fast for love. We're talking 84 before I got into thrash. I think Painkiller was for the speed metal crowd that Judas priest encouraged. I called Priest for the kiddies. By the way,that's not original. My old bowling buddy,Todd said that about 80s priest when I first got into them through Defenders of the Faith.
@nomorecheesedip5329

Painkiller turned out the way it did because producer Chris Tsangarides was hot off the heals of producing three albums with Anthem, and had developed this arena thrash sound with them. When it came time to produce Painkiller he got the idea to apply the Anthem approach to Judas Priest

Yeah I didn't care much for Judas Priest as a thrash band. Kinda felt like they were following the metal trend at the time after a dip in popularity. It worked. Painkiller was a hit and remains one of their most popular albums. I remember buying the cassette. I was hesitant after Ram it Down which I didn't like too much either. Painkiller was even more in that direction. I listened to it a couple of times and then stashed in my box of cassettes for good.

Angel of Retrobution has a soft spot for me. It was their newest record when I got into them as a wee lad. So I listened a lot to the first couple of tracks of that album. Though it wouldn't make my top ten as of today. The string of albums between Sad Wings and Defenders is pretty unbeatable.

I got into Priest extremely late. I think it was 2010 or 11. My first album was Angel of Retribution and I loved it. I went on a binge with all their catalog and I actually enjoyed Nostradamus a lot. Going back to it I find it a chore to listen to but I still dig a lot of songs in there. Screaming For Vengeance is my favorite but I like your list man ...pickle whistler Dr.Fukk? Sad Wings Of Destiny 4. Defenders Of The Faith 5. Sin After Sin 6. Stained Class 7. Hell Bent For Leather 8. Point Of Entry 9. Firepower 10. Redeemer Of Souls 11. Painkiller 12. Rocka Rolla 13. Angel Of Retribution 14. Ram It Down 15. Nostrdamous 16. Jugulator 17. Demolition 18. Turbo yes I about spun a rim in 86 when this pile of embarrassing garbage was released no lie. F$#@ Turbo!!!!!

Y'know, the fact that you love Nostradamus makes me wanna give it another go. That's the one Priest record I'd say I haven't given a fair shot. My top 5: 6. Sad Wings 5. Screaming for Vengeance 4. Stained Class 3. Painkiller 2. British Steel 1. Defenders of the Faith (my first I bought new as it was released) I get your complaint about Painkiller. I don't care for Point of Entry Firepower was damn good, in my top 10. And I don't think Redeemer is far behind. Ritchie gave them a helluva shot in the arm. Jugulator has some good tunes. Demo has maybe 1-2 decent tracks. Tipton simply can't write lyrics though. Turbo aged horribly, imo. Ram it Down has a couple decent tracks, and some bunk. I don't like Angel of Ret as much as you. I love all chat about JP. I don't collect them as much as Sabbath, but not too far behind either.

Nostradamus is Priests music from the elder. either you love it or you dont either way its understandable as its soo different.

Jugulator is my least favourite. Firepower is good but overrated. I’d have Painkiller higher. My favourite is Killing Machine

No. 3 really ? British Steel owns all Priest. You cant count Unleashed of course.

Well at least you love British Steel enough to put it at number. I have seen many say it's overrated.
