Ranking the locations of the Nancy Drew video games (tier list)🤔 

Wisconsin Native Here! There is a surprising number of connections between France and Wisconsin! I’m from central Oklahoma and we definitely get tornadoes here every spring. Someone may have said we don’t get them because: Most tornados are less severe than portrayed in the media, and there are definitely more Tornado alerts than actual tornadoes that touch down. But yeah, each year there are at least a few people/businesses in my area that have to replace their roofs/fences/windows due to tornadoes

Just wanted to say... I've never played any of the Nancy Drew games or read any of the books, but I find your videos about them so compelling lol. I'm sick today and this is exactly what I needed. Thanks for making these. They bring me a lot of joy.

Danger on Deception Island's Snake Horse Harbor is the one to which I felt the most transported. From the views to the puzzles to the new information...it felt the most like a virtual vacation to the location in question. Wickford Castle itself is iconic and top tier, but it does a TERRIBLE job at conveying Wisconsin. The skiing in Wisconsin is non-existent, so that kind of ruins it. It could have been set in any snowy state, too, so I am unclear on why they felt the need to set it in Wisconsin if that's the plot they had...why not Colorado? Colorado is a skiing hub, and it was full of wealthy people during the silver boom like Molly Brown. These wealthy (once poor) families longed to legitimize themselves, so buying an old castle and moving it there would also make sense. Bolet Manor was the first location I felt truly let down by as I played through the series. Crystal Skull does a good job of feeling like New Orleans, but the Manor feels so small...and ugly...it's worse than The Golden Gardenia even though that location at the time of the game is actively supposed to be decrepit...

Trail of the Twister at the bottom? 😭 I feel like that game gets so much hate for the boring location, but as a teen I used to just drive around and look at all the cool pictures of clouds at all the different lookout points. I'm probably tainted by nostalgia, but got dayam I loved the setting lol

Treasure in the royal tower would probably be in one of the lower 2 tiers for me but other than that I agree haha

I agree with many of your rankings! The Secret of Shadow Ranch is my all-time favorite location because you really do feel like you're on a ranch in the middle of the desert, and I LOVE the method of riding Bob to the various locations. Midnight in Salem is my least favorite Nancy Drew game, but they did do pretty well with the location. I also agree with your Where am I? tier. There was so much potential with the locations like Scotland in The Silent Spy, but instead, you're given generic locations like a hotel and house that could be set anywhere.

Pretty sound list! Can't think of anything I could outright argue against. I know I mentioned Secret of the Old Clock elsewhere already. I'd literally just show up for the pies. Royal Tower would be nice as long as the lying, thieving, head injuring culprit isn't there. :( I wanna eat drumsticks with Hotchkiss. Annnnnd as always I must INSIST that Blackmoor Manor be higher on the list! Even if the game/house doesn't truly capture England (I wouldn't know) doesn't that make sense, in a way? The whole family was whackadoo. Nobody liked them. Probably because they spent all their time being rich and eccentric, making secret passageways, games, and traps. Anyway I guess it makes sense to me for the setting to be outrageous. Also, I must say that I love these videos. Thank you so much for the time and the quality that you put into them. They're always nice.

I've lived in Alberta most of my life and honestly I felt like White Wolf of Icicle Creek captured the feeling of winter in the mountains pretty well. Still hated the game tho LMAO having to constantly make the guests food and the sauna puzzle killed any enjoyment I had for this game
