I don’t have a problem with this list me personally I would put Westbrook number 2 cuz CP3 disappears most when you need him and I mean that injury wise not choking
@@kyleelpel9402 Yes they do. No matter how well you take care of your body, you will always have a chance of a random injury happening; no matter what the injury is.
Hmm I would argue it'll be relatively the same. Mostly everyone on this list has had injuries. So if they didn't, the ranking would be the same. Maybe leaning more in Steph's favor
the only issue I have is how is kemba ahead of parker?....parker was elite until 2017 still...an he played the entire decade he just retired this year ...like heck I would take lowry over kemba but its close
Asmosis Jones Kemba last year was probably better than Parker ever was, and Parker’s best wasn’t even in this decade. So dom valued peak over longevity.
Kingx408 lol IT? He had 1 great season in the 2010’s.... 1. He could be #1 on a list that is titled “biggest one hit wonders in NBA history” dude was a bum on the Cavs the very next season
When the magic Johnson picture came up on number 10 I almost clicked off the vid 😂 Edit:Thanks for the likes ❤️ Every 10 likes I’ll add a 🏀 emoji 🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀
I'm happy Lowry made the list, he was instrumental in turning a perennial lottery team into a consistent top 3 team in the East for the better part of this decade.
Yeah but Dom really doesn't know what makes him so good. What he doesn't have in skill, he makes it up by doing all the little things. Leads the league in charges almost every year, he's a very strong underrated defender, always in the right spots on the court and does all the dirty work that most point guards on this list wouldn't do. You actually have to watch him to see why he's been one of the best point guards in the east and how he's made all these all-star appearances. And he was actually really good in the playoffs in 2016.
Personally thought he should be higher. There' no way he doesn't have a better resume than Kemba and Wall in this decade. Dude has the all star appearances locked down and has been a key contributor on a championship team. Kemba and Wall haven't come close to that yet.
@@JoseCaldercat the only difference is Wall and Kemba never got that opportunity to be on a serious playoff contender. And skill is most valuable when you're looking at individual players which Wall and Kemba are superior than Lowry in that way
This list, is SUPER solid. I personally switch CP3 with Westbrook only because the way I look at a list where one player is better than another is who can carry a team the hardest by themselves. At the end of the day, if you told me you have 4 role players on a team, for your PG do you want Westbrook or CP3, im taking Westbrook. He can get it done by himself when he needs to, takes risks which is a X-Factor that a lot of players are afraid to really tap into, and he can make other players successful with his insane IQ and vision. One of his most underrated aspects of his game that no one really mentions is his insane passing ability. He is one of the all time best passers in the history of the NBA. Theyre not always as flashy as lets say, Jason Williams, but the lanes and holes he squeezes those passes into are passes only he and a select few players in the NBA can actually make. Im not sleeping on CP3 by any means btw, the line between him and Westbrook is just a personal thing for me. I think having him at 2 is completely acceptable. Just thought id mention im a Celtics fan so i dont have any bias to anyone on this list. 😊
Zev McConnell when both players have been the lead star in their respective teams... Cp3 has more playoff wins and has advanced more rounds in the playoffs than Westbrook. Chris Paul led teams have also finished with better team records than Westbrook led teams as well Without Kd Westbrook is 4-12 in the playoffs. Chris Paul also makes his teammates better than Westbrook. Chris Paul has higher net rating numbers/on&off the court numbers than Westbrook throughout this decade Also Westbrook has been top 5 in turnovers per game and total turnovers since 2015. He’s in fact a very inefficient passer. While Cp3 has had historically high ast/to ratios. Co3 has never even played a season where he was top 30 in turnovers for his entire career Cp3 > Westbrook no debate
This channel makes me so emotional every time I hear the music I can feel my basketball childhood and favorite players disappearing but in a good way so I can remember them thank u for making this channel
I'm legit surprised to see the lack of disrespect towards him. It's nice because he was instrumental in changing a struggling franchise. He may not be a flashy player but his style was winning basketball.
It's pretty much right...do you really think Kyrie was better than these both in their primes? He couldn't get to the playoffs, they single handedly take teams to the play offs, same with Dame until now, I think now he can, but it's the end of the decade bruh
I came back after 4 years and when you said Kemba was nothing but a healthy bucket, and the very next season was the slow but steep downfall of his career😔
I have major qualms with Kemba 1. Being above Lowry 2. Being on the list over Mike Conley, Deron Williams, and Isaiah Thomas 3. Seriously future generations are gonna disrespect tf outta Mike Conley cause we didn't stan him now
Kemba should definitely be higher than Isaiah Thomas and Deron Williams. No doubt. He's simply better. Deron had his best seasons in the late 2000's and from 2013 and on he wasn't good at all. IT had 2 phenomenal seasons but unfortunately he got injured.
@@makis7383 Kemba really only has 1 playoff appearance and good play on a bad team, whereas Isaiah Thomas, yes only has a couple good years, but he was like third in mvp voting, made ecf, and had that incredible game after his sister's death, while kemba has more good years, his peak is nothing close to that
@Sazid _ injurys and choking teamates screwed that over for him in 2015 he teamates choked(looking at you Blake) and in 2018 his injury cost them the series and the chip
Biased Bucks Fan me too! He barely played 2018, missed 2019 and he missing this year too even some people before he got injured were saying he the best Pg in the east
The list should be 10.Steve Nash 9. Deron Williams 8. Chris Paul 7. Eric Bledsoe 6. George Hill 5. Mike Conley 4. Steph Curry 3. Che 2. Freq 1. Justice Young No debate
I strongly disagree with Kemba > Lowry. Kemba brings little to nothing defensively and play making wise. While Lowry was the leader of the team and an all defensive level player while averaging 7 assists a game
Dude the fact that tony Parker made this list made me so happy, people really don’t understand that he was still doing stuff at a high level until about 2015 in which he still performed better than most point guards in the league
10 Tony Parker 9 Rajon Rondo 8 Kemba Walker 7 Derrick Rose 6 John Wall 5 Damian Lillard 4 Kyrie Irving 3 Chris Paul 2 Russell Westbrook 1 Stephen Curry
@@maybejohnny3061 true but it was close and he's kinda been over rated this decade and this is not the 60s or 70s where point guards was a weak position this is the 2010s where point guard is the most stacked position in basketball rn
I would absolutely take Westbrook over cp3 he’s at least been to finals and won an mvp not to mention the triple double season. Although cp3 is more well rounded.
Chris Paul has been hindered by bad luck throughout the decade (and his career in general) with injuries and in the case of his time in New Orleans, NO HELP. CP3 would've loved to have a KD & James Harden on his team at some point. He would've actually made them better. Besides, Westbrook has diminished the value of the triple double with all his stat padding.
How was he running the league when he was down 3-0 to the Cavs that year in the ECF then got injured Celtics actually won a game but then lost next game & series 4-1 ?
I may be biased but I think Derrick Rose 🌹 2.5 healthy years with that MVP and conference finals appearance should put maybe 2 spots higher at least higher than Lowry
When thinking about Westbrook, roster construction needs to come into consideration. There was never a point in his career where he had the shooting and coaching around him to succeed. The same CANNOT be said about Chris Paul
Chris Paul has had a better career than Westbrook, but saying CP had the better 2010s, while only making a conference finals once, is absurd in my mind
@@jasongraves3921 ALL FACTS BRO. ESPECIALLY THAT 1ST COMMENT. RUSS NEVER HAD SHOOTING AND A GOOD COACH ON HIS TEAM. CP3 HAD DOC RIVERS ONE OF THE BEST COACHES AND SHOOTERS LIKE JJ REDICK, JAMAL CRAWFORD, MATT BARNES ETC.
CheapRubbers harden was good in Okc for 2 years and he was still ascending but he was a marksman. Of course Kd35 was a sniper but Russ has rarely had shooters. Even with Scott Brooks who my opinion shouldn’t have been fired especially for fuckingggg Billy Donavan Russ/Kd were winning mostly just off talent
I know I'm not who your asking, but they probably should have got one in 14-15. Warriors were still pretty much baby's and they definitely could have beat the Cavs.
Westbrook has a finals appearance, a mvp, mutiple all start appearances, and revolutionized the Triple Double by not only being the 2nd player to avg one in a season but by averaging it for 3 straight yrs. I understand Chris Paul has been consistent throughout the 2010s but he hasn’t been better than Westbrook.
I'm not even a big fan of Westbrook but I 100% agree. He was a historical PG who had accomplished more than CP3. CP3 I love more but with all that WB has done the last 6 years cannot be wiped away.
I really have no problem with your list other then having Kyrie ahead of Dame. Those 2 I would switch. Dame to me has been very under rated besides for the last couple seasons. Kyrie on the other hand has been overrated imo. This year can prove alot to me if he can take his team to the playoffs and win a series being the best player.
@@montezhardy238 yeah but 2 of those sweep against the much superior warriors so its justifiable if a team got swept by them. The sweep against the pelicans would surely leave a stain in his career
2010-2011 cp3 was probably peak cp3 and 2009-2010 was just behind it so I don't know about that and 2011-2012 cp3 was top 4 behind only 2007-2008 cp3 so...
In the five years that CP3 played in the 2000's, he averaged 19.2 Pts, 10 asts, and 2.32 stls, in the 9 seasons in the 2010's, he's averaged 18 pts, 9.4 asts, and 2.16 stls, his time has been his whole career
Russ didn’t even deserve that mvp he got. On top of that, Cp has finished top 5 in mvp rankings much more this decade than Westbrook. And Cp has more first team all nba selections. CP3>westbrick
@@younggggggg cp3 could never put up 31 11 and 10.7...come on bro ….that okc team lost kd and ibaka and made the playoffs in the west with no shooting..russ is a beast...his peak is better than prime cp3
Asmosis Jones and Russ could never post an EFFICIENT 18+ points, 10+ast and 2+ stls WHILE shooting above 45% from the field.. WHIlE averaging LESS than 3 TOs a game so what’s your point? And WITH a prime paul George for the last 2 years russ couldn’t even pass the 1st round lol
Trey Matthews i feel like Rose would be more versatile. He could play defense and carry an offense. Say he didn’t get injured like the previous comment says and STILL develops the jump shot he has now... that’s deadly in this current league. I’ve been a Dubs fan since i started watching basketball in middle school (like 2012 LOL) but D Rose was the man who made me fall in love with the game. A super athletic D Rose with a jump shot could mess a lot of people up with a simple hesi, stepping up= blow by/sagging off = pull up mid range/three
