Football season is upon us! So I decided to make a quick video ranking the now SIX themes (including Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime's theme) Let me know your ranking down in the comments! ⬇️⬇️⬇️
WHO DEY!!!! I’m a Steelers fan but at least the bengals are the only other AFC north team who aren’t criminals or just honestly jerks tbh lol. so ye WHOOO DEYYYYY
As someone who’s watched almost every ravens game in the past two decades, I can confidently say there’s nothing like turning on the tv and hearing the cbs theme blaring lol
i heard someone say that the cbs theme sounds like a theme for the offense while the fox theme sounds like a theme for the defense and that’s such a perfect description
When that Fox theme comes on, the house LIGHTS up. You can't not get so hyped you want to kick in a door, scream at the top of your lungs, and stomp around
NFL on CBS is epic. The nostalgia brings me back to winter of 2005 watching young but established Tom Brady square off against Peyton Manning and the colts in a 4:25 cold game at Gillette. The song really does a good job of building up raw excitement for an elite matchup.
I can just hear Al Michael's voice during the SNF theme saying "Welcome to Green Bay, Wisconsin where we have a great matchup in store for you today" or something like that.
@@samuelgaona7196Al Michaels with his perfect old man voice and Chris Collinsworth saying “Now here’s a guy…” 20+ times a game. Can’t beat it, no one will ever surpass them, no duo will ever be more iconic.
It might not be the most iconic, but the NFL Network theme goes so hard. Those bells? The beat? C'mon man, I wish that was the main theme on Fox or CBS.
The Monday Night Football theme song is probably the most iconic since it’s been around longer than all of these songs combined. Although Monday Night games were the marquee game of the week during the 70s, 80s and 90s, it’s lost it’s luster over the last two decades so I understand why it’s low on the list
Not exactly longer than all of them combined. MNF theme is in its 53rd season, Fox in its 29th, CBS in its 20th, NBC in its 17th, the TNF theme with the bells has been used on and off since 2006, and of course the Amazon theme is new. I agree the MNF theme is the most iconic though.
SNF theme feels cinematic and really helps create the essence of two teams meeting on the field in what could be the greatest game ever lived. CBS has this intensity and urgency that gets you pumped up and it gives off a sort of breaking news energy, like a news report of a war outbreak on the field. And Fox's theme is just FOOTBALL. Really no other way to describe in my eyes (or ears). Its iconic, its amazing, and it just works.
My favorite will always be Monday Night Football, every time I hear it I just think of all the history behind the NFL and I get a since of Nostalgia for era's of the NFL I never even experienced. Just a timeless classic.
I agree and I thought all real football fans felt the same way, but I guess not! I was so surprised to not see Monday Night Football theme at #1 since it is so iconic and nostalgic, then fox at number 2 since it is just so good.
As a KC fan, Monday Night just holds so much nostalgia and meaning. Nothing like seeing a cold night in Arrowhead vs an AFC West Rival. Absolutely iconic
TNF - war movie that takes place on Christmas MNF - Just when all hope is lost, Superman shows up and saves the day NBC - Sunday night matchup between Clones and Droids
The Sunday night football theme has me ready to RUN THROUGH A WALL! I love what you said about two teams marching into battle. That theme makes me think of a divisional race coming to its climax in the final week of the season
To me, the Fox and CBS ones are the sound of coming home from church, turning on the TV, and getting hyped to start a fun day of football. The SNF one is the sound of good vibes as I relax and enjoy a nighttime game between (usually) two good teams. The MNF one is the sound of being happy that the week of football isn't over yet, and the TNF ones are the sounds of being happy that the new week of football is starting. And even though it's not NFL, I still have to mention the epic music of CBS college football. That's the sound of an epic matchup between two SEC rivals kicking off a night game in an incredible atmosphere I can even feel from my couch, and it's made even better when it's LSU playing and the band plays their iconic "T-I-G-E-R-S-Tigers!" song when they score, plus I really enjoy that the past few years the band has also been playing the Avengers theme song right before crucial plays.
The CBS song that plays just before kickoff on the games that Nantz and Romo call is the one that gives me chills the most. It sounds so dramatic and intense. CBS has a couple of different themes they play during games but the one before kickoff is the one that gets me.
this is good content lol to think to rank these. Also, i like your commentary on each as well as the insights into why you ranked them as you did including personal bias. Nice
My favorite has always been TNF those bells live in my head but yeah Fox's theme is truly iconic people who aren't even fans know that sound means football
when its like august and the season is about to start i start listening to these and man doesnt matter they all have me feeling some type of way of just pure joy and happiness. football is honestly something that can get everyone together and just be happy and sad together.
I was honestly expecting the same meme bait that came out of the “rating EAS alarms” trend, so I’m impressed that you actually took a critical approach to each song and broke down their strengths and weaknesses. Great job!
Perfect list. Damn hearing those makes me so hyped for football…. But sadly it’s march😂 that fox intro gets me so pumped no matter how many times I hear it lmao
I’m so glad that every Sunday Rams game is on Fox because I love that theme and just hearing it makes me know serious business is coming. (Also sorry about the Super Bowl)
Your comment about picturing the quarterbacks warming up on the sidelines during the Sunday Night Football theme is spot on 👌 I’ve said that exact same thing before. Also Who Dey! I make Bengals videos.
@@DCRanks It really was. It’s too bad I missed most of it because of a bass fishing tournament. Ended up catching OT on the radio. After watching the highlights, the game should’ve been put away had the Steelers been able to produce way more off 5 turnovers.
Sunday night football always reminds me of late night cowboys games, as for nfl on cbs being out in here colorado broncos games r always on cbs holds a special place in my heart
Number 1 will always be number 1 but number 2 just hits different especially when it’s the championship game to go to the SB & they’re showing your teams players on Tv minutes before kick off🤘🏿
There is NOTHING like hearing "Heavy Action" before your team takes the field on Monday Night Football. You had to wait longer than 30 other NFL fanbases before the game starts, you're fuckin' ready. Love seeing The Linc all lit up, too.
1. ESPN MNF (This song is just so good in the beginning. I have never seen so much dedication from a TV channel on something so suddle like the theme and the graphics. They have made 6 different versions of the song and all are fine but all get you hyped up. Also out of all of the songs if you told someone to sing a NFL theme they would sing this. This song even has it's own saying now. "PLAY THOSE NOTES, DUMM DUN DUNN DUN) 2. NBC SNF (Really good theme however not as good now without the announcers. I mean what can I say, its good.) 3. FOX (Classic, you know it when you hear it. It hypes you up but they have not made that many changes to it and honestly I have just heard it to much. 4. Prime TNF (Song to me makes the most sense from a musical perspective. Not just that you can 100% tell they got a good person to write this song. If it was not for it being in a football game it would be higher then fox's and maybe even NBC. 5. CBS (The song tries to much to hype you up and I feel it is a pretty boring song.) ?. NFLN TNF (I have not heard this song enough to grade)
As a kid who grew up watching the chiefs we always had FOX as our broadcast when we played home games and most of the time when we were away it was the CBS theme, both live rent free as sweet nostalgia. SNF tho hits diff, it’s my 2nd fav behind FOX, fox is just iconic with Cleatus the robot mascot too
Yeah, the CBS theme is so kick ass (being a Ravens fan, I also hear this theme constantly), especially when the song increases in intensity when the title screen comes on. The Fox sports got ruined for me because I can never unhear the "giddy up giddy up giddy up let's ride" from "Sleigh Bells" in that theme.
as someone who has watched every cardinals game for the last 15 years i can confidently say there’s nothing like turning on the tv and hearing the nfl on fox theme. deserves that number 1 fs
The SNF theme benefits from the fact that the mental association tilts to a game that is usually important. The Sunday afternoon themes are used as much for games between two 2-7 teams as actual important matchups. Plus, I mean, c'mon, it's John Williams! (EDIT: The NFL RedZone theme is better than at least half of them).
Growing up in Kansas City in a Chiefs household, the CBS theme is the one i always heard blaring from the TV. Even before I cared to watch football, it was ALWAYS stuck in my head
Whatever conference your team is in is a huge factor. Packers, NFC so Fox is my favorite. The only thing I would change now swap CBS and SNF theme for myself. Don't care for the Amazon theme, its just missing that hook or oomf that says "hey, football is on.", and the only good thing about the Monday night theme is the intro, it completely falls off after that.
Did you know that the Sunday Night Football theme was composed by the legendary John Williams? That's why it sort of sounds like certain themes from Star Wars...
GO PACK GO!!! The #1 rated one here is my personal favorite, and 2 and 3 are the ones I hear the most aside from 1, since the Packers rarely play on Thursdays. I think your ratings are pretty good.
