Yeah especially I think they all agreed that Rob Williams not being higher or being on the list is cuz he’s just defensive smh when it comes to gobert the whole argument changes
@@officialzacht he’s wrong. You can’t justify rudy passing out of the post with Terrance Mann on him by saying “that’s not his role he gets paid to play defense”
Mike right he just didn’t know how to argue it. KB’s crazy for writing off an entire half of his game just because “it’s not his role”. When you’re making that much money you gotta score.
Yeah KB gets his favorites and then gets super emotional about them and biased, overlooking their shortcomings a lot. If mike stayed level headed he could’ve washed KB
He’s not right in the slightest. Mike has casual old head takes all the time. He only does certain things like draw fouls, set screens and is somewhat of a lob threat. He ignored KB’s points and just argued like he’s Steven A Smith
It's not even Rudy's fault for the Jazz's playoff struggles, it's the fact that no one on that team knew how to defend on the perimeter, forcing him to try and patch up everything While KAT was just actually trash in the playoffs 🤣
@@0ringsss742 considering he shrunk in big moments, was incredibly inefficient, especially for a center, and also sold the T Wolves multiple times? 🤣 Yeah bro, think about context
Yall have matured so much and are able to have such powerful conversations. I really appreciate you guys using your voice for good and influencing the younger population of your viewers to be better people and better human beings
My personal list: 1) Jokic 2) Embiid 3) Kat 4) Adebayo 5) Siakiam 6) Gobert 7) Allen 8) Ayton 9) Valanciunas 10) Turner I think 9-14 can be pretty interchangeable between Valanciunas, Turner, Williams, WCJ, Sabonis and Capella
I think if Sabonis's defense is factored into his rating, Gobert's offense should be as well. And I do blame Rudy Gobert for the Jazz failures in the playoffs. If he could use his size advantage against the guards/forwards put on him offensively, the other team would be forced to put a center/other big out there to defend him and sacrifice the small-ball play. But he can't score on the mismatch, so it makes the small-ball available.
There’s a defense I think Rudy is the most overrated there’s a difference gobert is arguably the best or at least top 3-5 defensive center we have had in the last 15 years , sabonis has never been the best offensive center or even close to the best we had in the last 15. Gobert is the best defensive center while lacking defense. Sabonis isn’t the best offensive center while lacking defense
@@rahqoun9735 I get that, and I would rate Gobert higher than Sabonis, but I don't think you can ignore the offense of Gobert. Kenny was saying his offense doesn't matter bc his defense was so good but factored in Sabonis's poor defense to his rating. That's why I brought up Sabonis.
@@cihcye Just because you’re great at something doesn’t mean you’re exempt from everything else. He has to step up his offense. There’s no reason he can’t score on Dennis Schroeder. This is the nba, best of the best. Got to at least be able to knock down a mid range
Joel always had a scape goat like simmons/harden/injuries and when he plays hes a beast. I think we miss that his conditioning n attitude contribute to his lack of availability and playoff success
Kenny is such a point guard on this cast. Always getting on the 2guard (Mike) for not remembering the sceme. Then you see the front court just putting their hands up.
@@finnkuehl9274 100% over JV and Rob Will. He literally just locked up JV in the playoffs to 14 points on 48% shooting, not to mention JV ain’t a 2 way player. Also I’m taking him over Jarrett Allen, both averaged 10 rebounds, Ayton averaged more points on a better team and spreads the floor much better. The rest I understand being over him tho.
Ayton has the potential, but he doesn`t have that MJ, Kobe, Giannis mindset of wanting too and needing to be the best. Ayton could likely be a top 3 center in the world if he wasn`t afraid of physical contact.
I think my biggest issue with Gobert is hes not dominant enough at rebounding when teams go small on him. His post game against those small teigams also leaves a lot to be desired. If he was good enough to force teams to put a real big on him, then he would still be able to do what he wants defensively instead of being on the perimeter
Dmills build is not as bad as y’all making it out to be, interior defence is so important, check out 2k tutes channel. 80 dunk gets quick drops off one which is one of the best dunk animations, but I feel u maybe putting that up to 85 for silver poster and pro contacts. Most solid point y’all had was the 3 pointer should either be an 89 or a 92. Plus, wingspan is huge for pro am locks.
How high do you think Jusuf nurkic can go this season? I think bcs he has a well rounded game defensively and him and Dame in pick n roll is one of the better pick n roll duos in the league, both been healthy and anchoring the blazers defense I believe he can break this top 10
the kb n mike argument was funny esp with pierre emoting on the side whilst they was going lmao My perspective on it is, one i understand kb’ rebuttal to mike when he said “the rim protection only takes u so far” and he brought up jokic embiid etc. i fw how kb swiftly shut that argument down cuz quite frankly there is one chip each year. I agree with mike on gobert not taking advantage of smaller defenders & properly sealing his opps, but where he loses me is saying gobert got played off the floor in the playoffs. While true he couldn’t get “played off” cuz they had no1 better/ they didn’t have a good small ball unit he is the reason they a top 5 defense alone. When folks say he was “getting played off the floor” it’s taken literally but i feel a better way to put it is that the jazz defensive ideology ran it’s course as their scheme was to funnel the opps to gobert n have him meet them at the rim. Where it failed was once a team like the clips n mavs played a small ball unit that would stretch gobert out who is a 7footer, his weaknesses where evident as he is slow footed & is over tasked on defense as his supporting cast struggled to defend the perimeter leaving more opportunities at the rim and impeding gobert from playing free safety as well as sumn1 like rob will did for the Cs which is bc of the difference defensively in the C’s n last year Jazz teams rosters. More times than not gobert would abondon his man on the perimeter to stop a layup which lead to the opps kicking out to goberts man for 3 rinse n repeat with a shakeup of gob getting beat at the rim at times and the rest of the cast failing to properly rotate. Essentially the point of this essay damn near lmao is to say the jazz formula and roster was heavily flawed and cannot simply be drummed up to gobert or dono it was an amalgamation of them both and the teams roster. Which is why the two teams they were traded to are so interesting cuz on paper they mediate what they were both overly tasked to and failed to do together on the jazz.
13:08 Same thing happened when Kobe passed. Rumors were thrown everywhere about who was on the helicopter, from all of his daughters to Rick Fox. Imagine being Rick Fox's family member hearing he "died" and having no information on that for several minutes; believing they're dead just cause of a rumor. Shit can hurt people and ruin their lives, even if just for a moment. It's not worth it, man. The media has to be better.
P was talking about Val at 8 then DMills came in with the Sabonis one and fvcked up everything 🤣 after KB muted DMills, P was already confused and said Sabonis once instead of Val, then that was when Mike thought P was talking about Sabonis. DMills not listening to the discussion made everyone confused
I think Gobert should be around 5, he's not versatile enough offensively or defensively for teams with elite ball handlers/playmakers due to their ability to exploit switches and bad perimeter defense. He's not top 3, he may not be 7th, but he does begin to become in some ways ineffective as an individual defensively player when it comes to those moments.
Im with Mike . People where complaining about Mitchell not giving him the ball to expose his matchups but when you get to talk about where he ranks. Now his defense over looks his offense being a world class defender ain’t cut it no more
Jarrett Allen should definitely be higher, he's an all defensive caliber defender and he possesses a decent offensive skill set. He doesn't get talked about enough, we were 35-21 when he played and 9-17 when he didn't, he can get you 20 on any given night along with elite defense.
I wouldn't have Sabonis on the list. He's such a negative on defence at a pivotal position I can't have him up there. Would rather have Williams and Allen, guys who may not do anywhere near as much as Sabonis offensively does, but do contribute and don't hurt to have put there at times. Also Kenny just because Rudy is a defensive hub doesn't mean he shouldn't do more offensively
BTW I had Rudy at 5 but then I realized Spicy P was on this list so Rudy moved down to 6th for me. I don't know why KB was heated when he only had Rudy a spot higher than Mike's.
As for the Brooklyn 3 seconds left thing, realistically ben would be the one throwing it in, with kd kyrie joe Harris and Seth being 4 different and competent options
My problem with Rudy is that he can’t take advantage of a smaller defender on him so teams can play small ball against him and the value of his rim protection drops a lot. If he could take advantage of mismatches he’d be maybe top 3 at the center position.
taking opnion out of it . 1jokic 2embid 3gobert 4 allen 5kat 6bam 7 robert wwilliams 8porzingis 9 jakob poetel 10 haternstein regular season for centres who played over 50 games
Watching 400+ Dalano Banton mins in 1 night is one of the most random things you can spend like 7hrs doing. Only ~300 to go. Don’t forget the 8 in playoffs.
I haven’t seen him play in college or rly much at all, but purely off stats, how’d he get drafted and get a gtd deal in the NBA? I get he’s a 6”9 “PG” but he was bad in limited PT his freshman year at Western Kentucky, transferred to Nebraska (redshirt Soph year) then his stats were w/e there. 27GP, 22GS, 27MPG. 9.6/5.9/3.9/1/0.9, 2.5TOV, 2.1PF. 50.7% 2P on 5.1att 24.7% 3P on 3att 65.9% FT on 3.3att And he shot like booty from 3 and FT his freshman year too. Small sample size but he hasn’t shown he can shoot at all. His deal is partially gtd for this year for TOR but I assume they’ll pick it up. Maybe he’s been showing strides in practice and stuff and will get more PT this season. Idk. Just dunno where he fits on the roster if he can’t shoot. Flynn doesn’t play much and he at least has shown he can prolly at least shoot the 3. Again haven’t seen film and it’s Toronto so I’ll just assume it was a good pick lol. Bc there’s no real backup PG on roster beside Flynn and Banton. At least no vet…but I guess when FVV plays so much, and you have so many guys who can handle the ball that aren’t PGs, you don’t rly need anymore. Plus surely one of Banton and Flynn are at least capable if FVV goes down or w/e.
Yo would you guys be willing to Collab with YourBudTevin and do the Anime Drinking Game if he does another Kuruko-no-basket episode? Y’all would be damn funny and he’s a great host
Kenny putting Sabonis at 8 and being mad that Gobert is 7 is hypocritical. He said Sabonis is elite offensively but atrocious defensively, but Gobert is the SAME THING just in reverse.
Comparing Sabonis' offensive output and Gobert's defense should be illegal. Especially when you are talking about centers. Nobody in the league has Rudy Gobert's interior impact defensively. He single handedly played defense for the Jazz. Sabonis is a good offensive player on a team which needs defense.
@@waltertadokoro3331 I think he’s like 3-5 hes the best rim protector in the league. Useless in the playoffs but so is kat 😂🤷🏾♂️ bam be looking to scared to score sumtimes so idk lol
Jarrett Allen is an elite defender and play finisher and showed real improvements in post ups (more efficient than KAT in the post). Top 7 center for sure I understand the skill Sabonis has but I believe Jarrett Allen impacts the game at a much higher level. Same with valanciunas
I agree Joel and the 76ers gotta get it down in the playoffs this year, but to say he isn’t criticized liked that and has to get it down this year but not say the same exact shit about Jokic is kinda wild to me
@Florent Stuart Ketchami Tchouleng Exactly there should be higher expectations for him but all they was talking about is that they could see him winning another mvp nothing about the fact the he has to get it done in the playoffs
@Florent Stuart Ketchami Tchouleng Again I don’t disagree with that, but 2 time MVPs are usually expected to with championships as well. It’s not that I think Embiid doesn’t deserve criticism it’s that to say he does but not feel the same way about a player who has been in the league just as long and has won 2 MVPs over him seems kinda goofy to me
