My NHL Top 10 lists for the 2024/25 Hockey Season begins today! In this video I will be discussing the Top 10 NHL Goalies heading into next season. @@edited1325 he had a down year after having back surgery. Sorokin also had a down year this past year but he was number 4 on this list. And he also took into account their whole career not just last year. Off of resume alone he should be at the very least top 10 even though he had a down year

Ullmark being that high is criminal, look at those horrible stats compared to the bottom goalies. Swayman is a true #1 not Ullmark.

Ullmark won the Vezina last season something half of the goalies on this list have yet to accomplish, people downplay how good he is just because he and Swayman shared the net

Oettinger not as good... Bob is great (when he is geat, meaning he is not consistently good as Ullmark) and Vasilevsky doesn't have as good numbers as Ullmark..had a down year..Bruins had a historical regular season the year before, and a really good one again this year... all because of goaltending where the other goalies had better teams in front of them.

Fellow tender here. Pretty good list and rankings. Feel like Vasilevskiy should have made the list, and probably Sorokin a little lower than you had him. Probably Shesterkin lower on my list as he had a really good team in front of him this year and when it came down to it, the playoff performance was just ok-and that's when it REALLY matters how you do between the pipes. Other than that, I agree with many of the goalies for your picks. Gonna be a great year to see how each of the Bear Hug Duo (Swayman/Ullmark) do as starters for their teams.

Interesting list. Good illustrative stats. Good assessment. Shesterkin was all world in the playoffs so recency bias confirms your #1.

i think he has a lot of potential its just about consistency cause throughout the playoffs this year he was either playing great or playing like a liability to the team i think this next year though he will be a good goalie not a top 10 but a good goalie but only time will tell at this point

it is like the Selke... you need a couple of consistently good years to be considered..Demko doesn't have 2 good years in a row so far in his career so should be lower.

I can’t believe you don’t have Andrei Vasilevskiy on this list. He’s easily better than Sorokin, Hellebuyck and Demko (sorry Vancouver) with two cups. He’s barely older than these guys including Shesterkin. If Russia were allowed in major international tournaments, their goaltending would be miles above anything any country could put together.

@@edited1325he did but made a full recovery 2 months into the season and played solid. GAA is a tad high at 2.90 but 900% off recovery is fine

Just saying. Those two playoff runs are the defender’s fault. Winnipeg has and had some HORRIFIC defense. When you have Pionk allowing a goal most of the time. It actually sucks.

@@jimmyhockey if he can work on his durability and trying to keep healthy he will be another Vezina contender next year for sure and with another great backup in net which i hope will be arturs silovs but we have yet to sign him demko will have to play less games which will reduce his chance of injury

@@jimmyhockeybut you left Vasy out when this was his worst year after he had serious injury. Also Markstrom usually has some down years and is too inconsistent to be considered one of the best goalies in the league.
