Ok hes a good playmaker but hes not a floor general. That implies hes running the offense hitting cutters and whatnot. A lot of his assists come off the jokic pnr sets they run. His a good passer but floor general is a bit much

They are off a screen and involve only 1 defender in the play especially after the screener screens the defender and gets them off the ball handler. Jamal is a great passer but there are only a few floor generals in the league. Bron jokic and luka maybe harden tyrese and CP3 thats it. Hes not on their level as a playmaker. Jokic is the main distributor for the nuggets. Jamal averaging 10 assists in the finals was a byproduct of the heat defense keying in on jokic's drives to the paint of the screens allowing jamal to make the plays to the rest of the guys. He didnt even come close to 10 assists per game in the rest of the playoff run while jokic avg 9 5 assists for the run. 12 apg against the lakers as well.

recency bias for brown is off the charts rn, everyone hating on him more than any other Celtic.

Prior to Miami series, Brown shot 54.1% from the field and 47.1% from 3 pt and averaged 24.6 ppg, 5.3 reb and 3.4 assists in the playoffs. I don't think 1 bad playoff series should drop a guy that far who was 2nd team All NBA in the regular season.

Top 4 players should be able to make the playoffs in my opinion

That 4th spot is up for grabs, and Luka may or may not deserve it. As far as raw talent goes, there's a lot of guys that are right there and are one healthy season or deep playoff run from cementing themselves into that top 4. Tatum, Embiid, Luka, KD, AD, Zion, heck even LeBron or Kawhi. Only reason anyone would leave those guys out of the top 4 is that they didn't stay healthy or make a deep enough play off run (or make the playoffs at all) over the course of the last year or two. You're kidding yourself if you say any of them are on a different level than each other based strictly on talent.

If we r talkin bout the playoffs demars efficiency and volume drops off hard every year as well. This was DG first playoffs and he played against a top defense. And its not like he had a horrible series, he put up 20 and 5 on 44 and 38 splits. In fact thats better than demars playoffs series in 2022

Games 3 and 4 against the Nuggets were elimination games and he played great. He got hurt in game 5 and if youre playing 40+ min a game and having to score 35+ Points everytime in order to win is not human. Hits Body was breaking down and the Nuggets were just the better Team. His playoff performance was def not a fluke. I hope and think he will have great elimination games in his future

@@MrE_ BIrd, Stockton, Nash too. Bird might not have the numbers, but it's because he wasn't a ball dominant point guard. His passing was every bit as sublime as Jokic's or Magic's. Honestly I am not sure if anyone was better than Bird.

I never doubted that Jokic would get rings. But this isn't a token ring to just clear an obstacle and get into a different category ike this comment seems to imply. it's not a Moses Malone or Dirk ring. This is only the beginning. And even now Jokic is still undervalued. Only just now has the consensus shifted to finally, about 3 years late, acknowledging him as the best in the league. They'll kick and scream before they finally start acknowledging him as what he really is, a top 5 or even top 3 all time player with a GOAT case.

I questioned Bam in the playoffs the past few seasons but this year he wasn’t. He was the best player in the finals despite butler and Martin struggling also good in the ecf and semis.

Facts Jamal Murray is the real deal. He put up numbers that are comparable to Steph Curry in the playoffs. I will personally put him as number 10 on my list.

Edwards was better in that Nuggets series. This coming from a diehard Jokic fan who was cheering for Denver to win the chip. Look at RAPTOR, EPM, BPM, Gamescore, Winshares per 48, VORP during that series. Edwards cleared Murray easily. Edwards is also more efficient while scoring more volume and playing elite defense. To add it all up, Edwards have a higher Net Rating than Murray this series DESPITE PLAYING on the losing team. Here's one stat that is mind blowing: Edwards this series had an On-Off Net Rating of +30.3 !!!

He needs to show top 20 play during the regular season, also Jokic being who he is makes life much easier for him

Mostly because Tatum shrunk and peed the bed and Brown was completely inconsistent, if both where their usual selves that series was over in 5-6

Not even one series, he is just basing it on game 7 because in the other games he played well, not great, but he was still shooting over 50% percent.

@@abtocool6350 be objective. What has Kyrie done since he won the title in Cleveland? NOTHING. That was 8 years ago. Jamal put up a 30 point triple double in the finals this playoff run. There was a time where Kyrie was definitively better than Jamal, but those times are now over and it's OK to acknowledge that times have changed. It's a new era in the nba.

@@DammitBobbyI am being objective, just because someone won a championship that doesn’t automatically put them above somebody, when kyrie outplayed steph in the finals I still wasn’t saying he was better than curry. He was in a winning situation in Brooklyn and forced his way out for more money which is his fault by the way, but in Dallas people forget that he was 3-1 without luka and was a +60 in the last 15 games while luka was a -15. Not blaming either of them but to put it on kyrie is wild when quite literally he’s a positive on the court. He still put up 27/5/5 on 49/38/90 splits by the way.
