I think it's a little absurd for Springer to go from guaranteed top 20-25 guy to not an the list after proving after in limited time putting up pretty identical rate stats. Yet Byron Buxton, who is literally even worse at staying healthy than Springer and no previous seasons to indcate that he can even be better than Springer, moves into the top 25 after having really good 60 games.

Pretty sad to see how far Bellinger has fallen. He was an absolute monster a couple years ago. I mean, with his approach and swing at the plate, anyone with even a bit of a baseball brain knows it was unsustainable, but he was fun to watch. Hopefully he can make whatever adjustments he needs to and be a decent MLB player again. I never thought he’d remain an elite player, but he’s fun to watch when he’s good, and this coming from a lifelong Yankee fan.

Who are "most"? The man was 20th in the *AL* MVP ranking in 2021, which was by far his best and longest season in the majors. In order to project him top 20, you're saying that he's not only going to repeat 2021, but comfortably improve on it. That is very much a reach for me. His Statcast metrics do look awesome, but it's also one season, and he plays corner OF.

@notstarboard
@notstarboard 2 года назад
@@zacherygoldstein1810 Given the dearth of catching talent in MLB, a complete catcher like Realmuto is valuable beyond what shows up in a typical WAR calculation (and he does well there too). I don't hate putting him in the top 50 when he's been doing it for years and Mullins has just had the one breakout year. If Mullins does it again in 2022 you can bet he'll be on this list for 2023, and not way down near 50 either. Edit: Actually started the video. Mullins easily beats Nimmo & Bichette for me. Bichette is up at 5.9 bWAR, but that's inflated by positive DRS values when he was 6th percentile for OAA last year. Meanwhile Mullins was 96th percentile for OAA last year. Nimmo had a great 2021 when he played, but injuries are a huge issue for then. You gotta be more productive than Nimmo to make this list when you're always on the IL half of the year.

What’s the rationale for Leaving George Springer off the list entirely this season? You had him ranked 22nd last year and he was the exact player this year as he’s been the last 7 seasons. I would have had him around 20 personally. Putting guys like Altuve and Robert in front of him is just lunacy to me. I'm honestly higher on him than guys like Machado and Arenado going into 2022.

That’s kind of how I like to organize players in fantasy baseball ⚾️ because you can judge players by the top guys from there. It’s important to know who the best top 10 are, then top 25 and so on from the beginning I think. But loved the video and stars you cited. Thank you.
