RANKING: The Top Five Greatest Rivals of JOHN CENA! 

Cena’s barber is quickly moving up the list.

Cena vs Edge is literally what captipulted both of them into Main Event status.

For some reason, I knew that Punk would end up #1 on Solomonster's list.

His fued vs Edge is my all time favorite

All I know is that Punk and Edge are number 1 and 2 (order is debatable)

Punk & Cena had some fantastic matches, & they made a great rivalry.

Can’t argue with Solomonster as his analogy is on point

What's crazy is the MITB match between Cena and Punk was my first WWE match I viewed. And what made it more special is I'm from Illinois.

As much as i'm not of a fan of John Cena, i will agree he has had some great rivalries in his career. Here is my top five 1. CM Punk 2. Edge 3. Brock Lesnar 4. The Rock 5. Randy Orton

5. The Rock 4. AJ Styles 3. Randy Orton (especially 07-08) 2. Edge 1. CM Punk (they were like Batman and Superman the anti hero and the hero)

if they stopped the orton cena rivalry after 2009 then it would have been a all time great rivalry. Every match they had between 2007-2009 the crowd was electric. It was the dream match.

My Top 5 and there villian counterpart to John Cena's Batman. #5 Brock Lesnar: Bane. #4 Randy Orton: Penguin. #3 C.M Punk: Two Face (While I think Punk is a great rival for Cena, I think the feud benfited Punk more so than it did Cena, the real best thing it did for Cena's career was show off his wrestleing ability, but I think AJ did it better) #2 AJ Styles: Superman (Punk maybe Cena's polar opiste in looks and representation, but AJ is Batman to Cena's Superman, there careers in wrestleing are so in sync with one another it's almost scary) #1 Edge: Joker.

For me honestly my list is basically the same as yours Solomonster. 5.Randy Orton-I’ve always felt like WWE tried to make Orton vs. Cena like Rock vs Stone Cold especially in 2009 but I think their fued was great in 2007 during their first two PPV matches from Randy punting Cena’s dad at Unforgiven and their match at Summer Slam 2007.(my favorite matchup of theirs) 4.The Rock-I personally think this fued should’ve been Once In A Lifetime but we know Vince😒two of the biggest stars in the Attitude and Ruthless Era. 3. Brock-Same as Solomonster Brock did help Cena like Kurt and Eddie did in 2003-2004 get John he’s push but Brock basically dominates Cena every time they matchup. 2.Edge-Edge help elevate Cena to his status he’s at today from their feud in 2006 even their few matches in early 2009 at WM and Backlash Edge made Cena(like Punk) go to new highs ringwise and promo/character wise during their feud. 1.CM Punk-Just like Edge pushed the John “SuperMan” Cena character to new limit in promos(promo in Montreal in 2012 going into NOC) and matchups they had during that run.

he had a great rivalry with Triple H, I recall in his early days as a doctor of Thuganomics he had a rivalry with Eddie Guerrero and in his early days as United States champion he had good rivalries with Booker T and Carlito

Good list, and yeah, I'll agree, Edge and Punk, it's a coin flip on who is 1 and 2. However, I think Lesnar, I'll put him at 3 and Orton at 4, and I'll tell you why. The finisher he has today, if you remember right, use to be called the FU, and was basically a knock on Brock's F5, so really, the feud between Cena and Lesnar really impacted the rest of Cena's career.

#1 is most definitely Edge. That entire feud in the summer of '06 was the one that really helped put Cena on the map, at least imo, and it was one of the main feuds that really stood out from that entire year. Punk would be #2 for me.

I know it's not his "Greatest" but I really enjoyed his feud with The Rock leading into Wrestlemania 28. Could've used perhaps a little more action and less talk but some of that was of course, based off of real life heat between them. Not speaking for anyone, but I remember moments watching thinking those two genuinely did not like each other. Which made it that more entertaining.

Edge and Punk are really just 1A, and 1B, you can't go wrong with either but both are clearly head and shoulders above the rest.

1.Edge To me cena and edge defined that era

Kurt Angle, Jericho, Edge Cm Punk, JBL, The Rock, Brock Lensar, Batista, AJ Styles, HHH, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton. you could make a real legit argument for. For Me: Edge Cm Punk Batista Kurt Angle The Rock I wanted to put brock on the list because he deserves to be on the list. But for me For me these guys got a lot of out him.

I think CM Punk was Cena’s greatest rivalry because he pushed the character Cena to the actual person in reality, Punk was probably the only one that got to that level of “this feels like a real feud.”

Now I kind of want to wrestle a few matches with solomonster since he brought it up..... Somebody get me a sign to point to

First episode I ever watched was when I was 10. Cena threw edge in the river and it hooked me. Edge and cena will always be my favorite rivalry

I don’t think you understand what the list is ranking. The list isn’t about the best/greatest rivalries. It’s ranking who he’s had the most rivalry with. That’s why people were tweeting you about Randy and Cena fighting all the time. It seems like a small distinction but it isn’t. It’s a completely different list.

Edge for me. The moment in that promo where Edge simply says, "I hate you" - it was so simple, but so powerful. Punk deffo no 2 though, and I'd agree with the other 3 filling out the list. Although I'd maybe swap Rock and Brock.

I mean the brock comment is true. Cena,brock,Batista and randy were in the same ovw class and debuted in 2002. Randy and Brock got the biggest pushes. Hell in his first 2 years he was already in a fued with the undertaker and goldberg and other huge stars. Then there’s randy he faced benoit at summerslam and beat him clean in 2004 and got the WHC,a face push by getting kicked out of evolution and a fued with triple H. Cena had a fued with kurt angle and JBL and didn’t take the title from him until 2005 and the same with batista for triple H. It’s weird to look at those four on the list and realize that cena and batista were actually lowered on the push priority than randy and brock.

Not only did they have multiple matches, a lot of them were for world Titles. Cena would have way less titles if those matches didn’t happen. For like 2 years, the show consisted of those two. How many other rivals dues that long for a world title?

I never got the "if Lesnar never left" argument. Cena would've been big regardless. I honestly believe it would've been Cena vs Lesnar at WM21. Also being FOTC would've been too much for Lesnar to handle considering how much he already hated the traveling schedule and people.
