Especially DOFP. You can tell he put his all into it and made it so epic. I’m sure he didn’t know for sure if it’d be his last time working on those movies. But was so happy when that theme made a return

He also edited those films, and is reportedly a big reason why DOFP is any good at all. Reports say DOFP was a total mess in its early cuts and that John Ottman and Simon Kinberg really whipped it into shape in the editing room. Apocalypse was also apparently even worse at one point and Ottman is the only reason it turned out watchable.

@@HickmeisterFilms Honestly I really like the final act. Also many people don’t know this but there’s a rare unrated edition. And unlike a lot of unrated cuts that are just made to make more money this one is genuinely fantastic. Better than the theatrical release. And there’s no weird editing, unlike many unrated cuts.

As a kind of movie theme I prefer the X2 theme and I think it’s similar in the x men apocalypse intro, and the 90s them/97 intro now, is perfect for a tv show intro, both are amazing and fit well.
