The fact that Ranpo still believes he is an ability user and his ability ONLY activates when he's wearing the glasses is so cute 😭

Who's ever idea to make the color pallet change after ranpo becomes confident needs a raise that is such a excellent idea and ive never seen that in a anime before 💖💖

Its funny that Ranpo, the greatest detective got fooled into believing be was an ability user by a man who at the time didn't know that he himself was an ability user. The irony lmao

this scene is designed for someone like him to understand the world around him. his parents made the world around him as people who are better than him so he wouldn’t expose his detailed observations (that’s why he’s so pissed when people didn’t notice what he noticed). so Fukuzawa had to flip the perspective that everyone around Ranpo is a fool and couldn’t see everything that Ranpo sees. the glasses was the metaphor for him to remind himself when to talk about what he observes so that he wouldn’t get in trouble for unsolicited blabbering out the truths on anyone 🤣 also, considering his behavior, i think he has autism, or in a variation of it -- of course the glasses were fake but i guess it’s become a sentimental value on Ranpo (im amazed at how he managed to take care of those glasses tho. I now have 6 within 12 years, 3 got broken and 1 got lost 🥲)

Goddamn, this episode really hit close to home for me. I can relate to Ranpo in a lot of ways, and when he said that it felt like there was something everybody else understood but him I really felt that because I've felt the same way. Growing up and even now, it sometimes feels like there's this thing other people know but that I can't quite grasp. Idk if it was because I was quiet or if it was just my imagination or what, but it felt like my classmates would look at me as though I had two heads when I tried talking to them. I've always been very quiet and introverted, and maybe that is something people find off-putting, idk. My interests never really aligned with the mainstream either, I don't much care for reality TV or sports or the latest celebrity gossip. I'm so often out of the loop on the latest trends and slang, it's kinda embarrassing lol. Like Ranpo, I was fortunate enough to meet someone who told me I was special and inspired me to put more effort into my schooling and participate more in class. She was my fourth grade teacher, and to this day I am grateful to her for encouraging me and I will never forget what she did for me. It's partially because of her that I've decided to go into teaching myself, in the hopes of being that inspiration/beacon for my own students. I want to share my love of learning with others and encourage them to be the best person they can be.

Does he sealed Rampo's ability into the eye glasses? We know that Fukuzawa has the ability to suppress the abilities of others. In this case it was to protect rampo falling for the wrong hands. This explains why Dazai can't deactivate his ability. I think once it breaks the ability will eventually returns to rampo.
