FYI, it's spitting flames and popping because you need to retune the carbs to match the higher flowing exhaust. These bikes run lean from the factory and can run even leaner with that higher flowing exhaust. I don't know how much you know about motors, but running too lean can cause pinging and early detonation which will damage your motor. Look into jetting the carbs and how to tune it yourself. Or just take it to a shop if it seems over your head, carbs can be finicky. Anyways, good video! I was looking for a budget slip on and I went with this one thanks to your video!
@@Big_John_C nurp. Backfire from exhaust can be caused by both conditions. Too much fuel it doesnt burn right and ignites in the pipe. Too little fuel it doesnt burn right and that light mix can still ignite in the pipe, especially with a super hot exhaust caused by lack of fuel, Because the fuel cools the engine.
I have this on my 300 ninja and I love it! I am going to repaint the black and polish the stainless on the original just in case I sell it ($800 worth of parts if purchased new) so the next guy has both options. There are 2 other settings (so loud, louder, loudest), but baffles in it sounds great to me. Oh, and the box is the perfect size for my Cali Form glass bong too (Bonus!).
Got my eye on this 250 because of gas prices, my first bike was a '01 YZF-R6 back in 2012, figure a 250 will get me up to at least 60mph with decent enough mpg that I can do my 15.5 country road commute without breaking the bank and still have a good looking bike... Without having to pull the old 69 Harley out of her hibernation. But, more over to the point that backfire!! Absolutely glorious, sounds like a little dirt bike
Tbh I would say check out the 300s they very cheap on the market place rn you can probably snatch a newish one up for 2-3k , and thanks I appreciate it !
@@alonzo5.040 sounds good and all, but, in my neck of the woods 300s are hard to find, so many new riders because of the fuel economy, which is cool, but, the only way other than 2k+ and the work to fix being laid over is around 5-10k at a dealership. The 250 I have been looking at fits the bill for what I need it for.
They’re cool little bike don’t let anyone tell you else wise 😂 I know I got a lot of hate / I might get a r6 soon , and thanks for watching I appreciate that!
@@alonzo5.040 yea I’ll get myself a 600 after I learn to ride good👍🏼having fun w the 250 Seen this one on Amazon and a 120 u think the pricier the louder?👀👀
@@ponylifestyle5995 tbh the ransoto can be really loud, I didn’t even notice but after the video I realized you can simply remove the silencer and it gets like 3x louder 😂😂 super loud gunshot pops and it doesn’t sound ricey/cheap , I’d highly recommend this ransoto you won’t be disappointed 💯🤙🏼
My Ninja is 2008 UK bike and is fuel injected. No flames or spitting thought. Bought exactly the same silencer/muffler off eBay from China for £40 including free post. Keep the baffle in. Fits no problem.
I mean In a way thats good that yours didn’t shoot flames , because mine was just running rich and needed a tune. But thats cool how do you like the sound of it?
@@alonzo5.040 Mine is fuel injected so no need for adjustments. The sound is great, but I fitted another baffle from China that looks like a shuttle-cock in the inlet end where it joins the silencer. I then drilled another hole in that. This makes it far more user friendly when passing horses, and riding through towns and cities. Doesn't effect performance either. Remember, the standard silencer is heavily baffled so any other silencer will improve it. I also bought a YSS rear shock from Italy for £90 incl postage, a big improvement.
Yes you are absolutely right about the stock exhaust it's sounds terrible I have the same bike and mostly all the other car driver's they don't leasing and that sometimes it's kind of dangerous for me.ps nice video stay safe and healthy
I have simulat muffler on my hyosung 250 comet and is day and night diference but small advice work on shifting becase you will burn clouch if you will keep shifting like that ☺
@@alonzo5.040 sound is great for cheap muffler bit my advice go easy with cluch at least in start until you see where cluch start separate so my friendly advice first go slowly and best practice is just go and ride ☺
@@alonzo5.040 shifting without the clutch but still lifting off is faster, these sequential trans can shift without clutch. To downshift blip throttle click down, upshift just let off gas and click up
@@Pendragon501 yes there built to do it same as a car sequential that’s why pro racers use sequential trans they are designed to be shifted with out the clutch
Honestly I didn’t , it was just a cheap little beginner bike so I was messing with it , people say tune it but I don’t see the point if it’s just the muffler
@@alonzo5.040yeah i got the same exhaust and i could tell it was running a tad leaner but i rebuilt the carbs sunc them and all i did was adjusted the air fuel screws 3 turns out and then i bypassed the kleen air system and it runs perfectly fine no power loss in the mid no popping or backfiring and i can tell just by the smell the air fuel mixture is just right i also run 93 gas so i highly doubt it’s detonating or pre igniting
And it really is easy to install or you need a special adapter? I like the original sound, but this exhaust sounds better than many of the more expensive brands like Leo Vince.
v e l v e t 1-6-4 yeah it’s pretty easy just plug and play and everything you need comes in the box , and yeah as for the sound I was pretty shocked on how good it actually sound, it’s a nice clean sound
@@alonzo5.040 bro that’s actually insane ! Did you take off the grey inserter or kept it in the exhaust (I’ve seen a few videos of some people keeping it on and some taking off. I just want to know which way will be the loudest and shoot the most flames lol)
@@R1__TZ bro so I didn’t even know I could take that silencer out until like 3 days later 🤣 suuuuuuper loud pops when it’s off , sounds like a 9mm going off
@@alonzo5.040 so I didn’t order the actual ransoto it was the same thing but from a different manufacturer. It came with a universal contact pipe that sticks out of the 51mm end, but it seems like the adapter is just a little to small to get over the contact pipe to be flush with the muffler. I haven’t even made it to the springs because I can’t get the adapter onto the muffler.
@@alonzo5.040 I actually figured it out the contact pipe is not even supposed to be in there. Idk why it was. But removed it and was able to get it put together and is on my bike currently now 😁
Luckily no , it’s a very easy bike to handle , great bike to get around the city but I feel like if you want it for freeway use it will be to small , Great learning bike tough !
No disrespect to you sir but it's a ""NINJA"" quiet, stealth so if ya want loudness then it wouldn't be a ninja as they relay on those abilities 😎 I'm not saying that mods are bad because I'm all for them... just ask yourself would the ninjas of Japan be loud or make their presence louder?? 🤔🤔 with much love .... stay safe 😁
@@alonzo5.040 I completely understand yet my approach for that would be safe non brightening to others "" LED LIGHTS "" ... need more??? Lmao mount a damn train horn as I wish it was possible 😎 or is it? 🤔🤔😂🤷♂️
Ahammed Riza I think it’s been a great investment, I get a lot of compliments on the sound and looks of it , overall it’s a great exhaust and I highly recommend it 👍🏼
please take some lessons on how to drive your bike, you will broke down something (clutch or gearbox for example) gearing like this. If you want to be faster , let the engine rev till 11.000 on every gear THEN pull clutch, RELEASE throttle, put next gear, release clutch AND THEN open throttle again............ watch your own vid and you can hear the sound of bad gearing... the bike suffering.
